What the hell is the allure to this show. The first 3 episodes are utter trash , but everyone seems to think this show has potential. Can someone fill me in on why this is watchable?
I'm just watching it for Nona at this point.
I want to fuck her in her デスpussy
>not light novel shit, I think
>not moeblob shit
>qt ona grill
Basically because it tells the story of two people who may or may not be innocent and are judged to either be reborn or thrown into the abyss while playing a game. It's original to me, whats not to like?
Interesting characters/premise, the first episodes gave reasons for /a/ shitposting, maybe you don't like it because the show centers on drama between characters but it wasn't "utter trash" and it was average but other shows this season aren't that great.
It's highly repetitive and uninteresting.
Hopefully they'll start focusing more on the other side characters soon, or at least bring in some people that have a conflict that isn't trite and dull like the previous two.
Haven't watched a single episode yet, just parts of the Death Billiard OVA.
I'm just constantly listening to the OP and imagening the show to be about bar & casino shenanigans in some sort of pseudo-hell with lighthearted-yet-dark humor.
Don't you dare crush my illusion.
So far it's just been surprise revelations piled on surprise revelations, all about these characters we just met and know nothing else about, while the show mostly lets the recurring characters be static.
I really don't understand this system, it's like a weird crossbreeding of Abrahamic and Eastern philosophy. I mean isn't the whole point of being reincarnated so you learn to accept everything? And your reward is reliving all your worst shit forever in "the void" in this? It makes no sense
I meant underworld as in criminal, like a seedy speak-easy. You didn't like my pun
;_;. And I don't see why the fact that it's not the final destination would make an underworld atmosphere not work - souls of dead people are being judged through games connected to their nerves; I wouldn't bat an eye if it had just been a typical underworld, although I probably wouldn't have picked it up, because that would have been really boring.
What don't you get?
Reincarnation, good. Void, bad.
They even put some masks on top of the elevators to make it easy to understand.
You're just confused because it doesn't exactly fit with any esisting philosophies?
I think it's better that way; if they went with an already existing afterlife system, like traditional christian heaven and hell for example, they would also have to use the traditional moral values of said system to judge the souls.
That would kinda kill the point.
>how can you watch this, 3 episodes in and nothing has exploded and nobody flashed their tits
Because it's a thought provoking show. It shows you that humans at their core are disgusting creatures and no episode three didn't prove shit because they still would have ended up like Matchy and Takashi down the line.
Oh, well okay then. But I'm pretty sure the first 2 episodes were split to introduce the hime cut's personality separately from showing the story of the dickwad couple.
If they make a habit of reusing animation though I'd definitely start questioning the longevity of the show.
I think we're gonna see consistent episodic content until about episode 5 or so, and then it's going to be abbreviated couple scenarios interspersed with drama and shit going down involving this 3-month term thing and children's book Nona has, etc.
This isn't Mushishi, they're building up to something. We just don't know what yet.
>pick the most popular show of the season
>open a thread call it bad and ask why its not
>think that people posting on my bait thread will fill even a little my empty life
you know i am felling sorry for you
Calling it now, the black haired chick is in a coma and the 3 months is her deadline to decide whether she wants to live or die
The two possibilities I was playing around with were that either Quindecim is also a sort of purgatory, or she's a new Arbiter-in-training.
But that's a cool theory. It would be a terrible ending if she woke up and forgot everything, though.
>mfw I was mortified the entire episode because I thought it would turn out that she was a tranny
I want to meet Quin and the Lotus grandpa and the shirt-ripping redhead already!
There's so much shit we don't know yet and I can't even remember the last time I felt this curious about a currently airing anime.
Ginti's (red guy) bar.
Looks like he makes Kokeshi dolls while Decim makes mannequins.
Oculus' place? Maybe.
A cosmic pool table?
>the first 3 episodes are utter trash
I am sorry for your disability, Senser-kun.
I like to watch it because the viewer can also play the role of arbiter, like Hyouka where one can guess what would happen given the evidence in the show
>tumblrfags are already dead set on ruining something else great
Why does it have to be this way.
>fucking fangirls and their yaoi shit
I forget. I'll have to watch it again, but I remember figuring it out when I saw it. The old man was shitty somehow, and the man didn't know any better because he was dealt a shitty hand at life. He really wanted to be a good person or something so he got to be reincarnated. I don't remember why the old man was shitty, though.
