Kill la Kill was pretty much hyped up to be TTGL levels of good and some people were delusional about the showing being anywhere near as great after it rairing.

This resulted in them forcing the dumbest meymeys and theories.

Can't blame them though since I was really hyped too.

the speculah doesn't always work out. i think it was solid at the time though.

KLK was too randumb .

The first half feels completely disconnected from the second from a thematical and historical perspective.

I marathoned it on my own without /a/, and I thought she was going to turn out to be an evil mastermind.

I think the reason why Kill La Kill was the way it is because Nakashima had many ideas for the series KLK the writing became directionless and the themes Trigger tried to convey didn' resonate within the fans or they didn't think nothing of it.
