As a young boy, Shiki suffered a life-threatening injury. As a result of this injury, Shiki became able to see "death lines" on objects and people; if Shiki traces these lines with a sharp object, the person or object that they belong to will die or be destroyed. Soon after discovering this power, he is given a special pair of glasses by a mysterious woman. While wearing these glasses, Shiki cannot see the lines, and can thus live life as normal. Later, Shiki discovers that he can also see "points" on objects and people; these act as more immediate and powerful versions of the "lines." Eventually, it is revealed that Shiki is not merely killing a person or destroying an object when he cuts its lines or pokes out its points, but is instead removing the meaning of his victim's existence.

I finished reading tsukihime last
month. Is it just me, or is it way better written than FSN (universally bad sex scenes aside)? It felt like Nasu forgot how to write somewhere along the way going into FSN, or maybe the translation is just better.
>>120250298
They're very different styles.
>>120249491
We know nigga, the VN has been translated for a long ass time.
>>120250298
Like the other person said, they're pretty different in style. Tsukihime's closer to a horror (especially certain routes), than whatever FSN is. Certain parts of HF might be comparable though.
>>120250298
I disagree entirely. Tsukihime has exceptionally poor direction.
The rising action, climax, and denouement are all the fuck over in every single route.
>>120250489
Above average bait.

Who is best Tsukihime and why is it themeidos?
>>120251339
The outfits.
Hisui best meido, tries being emotionless as a front while being more caring and cheerful than Kohaku.

Best manga in the TM franchise
>>120251598
It wasn't but it's excusable. The manga did the near side way better than the VN according to Nasu.
>>120251646
That's not Take-Moon.
>>120251598
Yeah, I don't like the changes the manga makes.
Like that, and Akihiko only mentioning that his sister told him not to go out at night (makes him seem a lot more careless than he is).
Also, splitting his conversations with Aoko. Maybe he wanted to make it go faster or whatever, but that's one of the best things Nasu's ever written.
>>120251715
Nasu is too humble.
