It was great, the ending was a little bit messy though but it managed to deliver its message in a beautiful way nonetheless. Stellar soundtrack, directing and animation, honestly it only needed a few more episodes to keep a better pacing at the end and develop the characters a little more. Also great OP and ED. Anyways yeah it was great. 8/10

It started off fantastic and did a good job expanding on what we had seen already while still keeping a lot of the sense of wonder and mystery that the OVA and ONAs had. When it started to get to the original stuff it kind of fell apart, but I think it picked itself back up for the finale. I'm also just really glad they used Secret of My Life again, even if it didn't have the same impact it did in the ONA.

Could you be more specific? I've always wondered what exactly makes people hate the ending. I personally loved it, but then again I might be too forgiving since I was waiting for the full anime to happen since the first ONA aired.

Binge-watching this show is impossible for me. I can't watch more than 2 episodes in a row without getting a headache.

That said, it's a good show and it's opening is amazing. I've been listening to it on a loop for nearly all of yesterday.

From what I remember from the threads, when the TV series was airing, most people didn't like how episodes 7-9 were filled with exposition dumping and lost the show's usual atmosphere.

it had a promising OVA the first one that made us think the story will be engaging and enthralling but then the actual anime show came on and it was fucking nothing.

It felt like the creator of the show wanted to show us so much more of the world but got stuck giving us endless exposition that spanned pretty much the entire show only for us to get to some stupid fucking conclusion.
