Are you guys ready for the new Minazaki Suu manga?
First chapter launched with 84 pages, starting dump now. If you wanna read online, here's the link.
Chapter 1 of Plunderer
This is gonna take a while. Be sure to at least say something, cause I can't bump my own thread.
Yeah I have a hard time judging where this story is gonna go, too.
Have you not read Sora no Otoshimono?
It was obvious from his name alone. From the TL Note:
The kanji used for “Red Baron” are 撃墜王 (literally King of Shooting Down Airplanes). This is a reference to the legendary Red Baron, a German fighter pilot in World War I. His real name was “Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen.”
Oh shit it's go-time.
Look at those numbers.
This entire rule makes me wonder why the hell anyone would follow orders.
But I guess it makes sense when you consider what happens if you lose.
Dunno why you would want to fight someone with -999, though.
That was one of my initial thoughts, too.
>Fuck you Suu. I'm not stepping on this ride again. At least he made clear what sort of bullshit to expect from the first chapter.
Yep, not even trying to start this. Bad End is the easy way out for any story, if he isn't going to bother to write a happy ending then suffering just leads nowhere.
Urobichi is a hack who's nothing compared to Suu in terms of mood whiplash. He will write silly perverted comedy and then kill the girl featured in said comedy antics the next chapter. Then he might bring that girl back so he can kill her again even more brutally.
And then he'll suddenly do silly antics again instead of continuing with the story or letting deaths have any meaning. He will mercilessly kill the best girl if he feels like it. He will make the MC suffer endless agony, kill EVERYONE and then just go 'lol I'll reset everything back to the beginning again' on the last two pages of a series, making everything that you suffered through mean nothing. Trust me, you do not want to get on Suu's wild ride.
>This chapter got me interested in the author's previous work
>No time to read SnO so instead I read his shorter manga on Batoto
>Something about hunters searching for mythological sea creatures
>Everything going smoothly
>Then that ending hits
I think this is the first time I've been genuinely pissed off at a work of fiction
Way too much unexplained shit to make a proper judgment yet.
And seriously? The girl has been traveling for 5 years and NO ONE had ever told her how the fuck the world worked? I call bullshit.
>Before SnO ending happened
BAAAAAAAAAAW YOU BETTER REVIVE EVERYONE SUU I LIKED EVERYONE HERE THEY CAN'T BE DEAD FOREVER
>After the ending came out
GRRRRRRRRR HOW DARE YOU REVIVE EVERYONE SUU I HATE YOU
You faggots don't even know what you want.
There's literally no reason for people to obey someone with a higher count if they can just it's time to duel them every time they don't wanna take someone's shit. It's actually even more risky for the people trying to order than for the people receiving the order considering they have way more to lose.
The system looks cool and interesting in first place but it's super flawed when you think about it. I hope the upcoming chapters explain those rules in more details.
He killed off literally everyone slowly (kill someone, x chapters of random comedy with no plot even mentioned, kill someone else, more comedy etc.), then had a finale when he finished off everyone still alive. Then on the last couple of pages he did a reset ending and called it a day, making all the suffering and deaths feel absolutely meaningless.
>comedy ecchi anime
Oh and the anime never shows any of the death and suffering Suu loves to throw in randomly in the manga. Especially everything shown after first season of anime is kinda anime original.
