I wonder what is a story between Mel, Liz and their clans. For now it seems like it was because of Mel demon clan was originally sealed in the first place, but judging by how gods are treating him, he sealed of greatly weakened them along with demons.
But i really dislike his behavior. Instead of pushing Liz away he could tell her at least something to ease her mind. Guess he knows that it's a best way to keep her in safety, but still.

Also Diane remembering everything wasn't really surprising, it was hinted during the festival arc already. Now they will certainly not reunite in quite some time because of demonic invasion, so both of them will get their share of suffering.
