I don't know why people are acting it's an asspull or OC for Mizuki to be a Yotsuba and the spy. If it's indeed true that she's a member of one of the Yotsuba branch families, it would make sense. The author put lampshaded something when he put Chiba, Shiba and Shibata in the same sentence all the way back in volume 1. Mizuki would also be one of the best people to spy on the people around the Shibas. She's in a pretty good position as a member of the group. She has really good eyes. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Tatsuya already suspected her. Now that it's gotten to this point, shit's suspicious. Although, I would bet good money that she's passing info on inadvertently. Yeah, that's what Mayumi tell Tatsuya. She asks him for help but he keeps refusing because he has no way to help her, and asks why is that she is interested.

Mayumi says it's because she is a Saegusa, she can't let things like this out. But maybe is also part of selfishness.

She is a Saegusa, but she does not have the power necessary to do things alone, and Tatsuya remembers how he has the 101, Yakumo and others who will lend him a hand.
Finally he accepts and asks for more information about the case. He asks for the clothes since they can bring even a little of intel. Also, Mayumi suspect Koiichi knows about this.

This is rather convenient for Tatsuya that now has a good excuse to be investigating in Kyoto. He knows about Zhou being the mastermind of blanche, 9SC and Yokohama incidents, and it is probably linked with him.
The next section is in Yotsuba residence, the conversation about Tatsuya's new magic and the technicalities. Hayama says, it's not complete, but I think they know Tatsuya will have success eventually so that's why they start talking about it, about it being based on Brionar, and the particular name. Maya is the head clan of one of the clans that have the mission of doing research, so it's natural she is interested.

Next is Mitsugu and Hayama conversation. It's basically about Zhou whereabouts and Tatsuya. Mitsugu says it's no possible for Tatsuya to remain loyal to the clan, and Hayama notes that a tool has not to be loyal, nor have heart.

Things are going to the point where Yotsubas suspect of Tatsuya, so now his standing is falling down because they are sure he will betray them in no time. Maya will have to rush and make things so Miyuki is the leader and Tatsuya is tied up to the clan.
