Drugs can be manufactured to produce very specific effects that are consistent across many people, yet have their own subjective twist depending on the person's current environment, mindset, mood, etc. One day we could even take pills that will allow us to experience constructed events, a direct example being.. the experience of being in an art gallery, looking at a specific piece.

I believe that a drug induced simulation is possible, not that I should say, but in the US military alone, we are looking into simulating traumatic experiences just to prepare higher officers in the event they were to be captured for intel. The military has it's secrets. It's kind of fun, but hell, I don't think shit I post on an anime imageboard would ever have the military find me and discharge me.
