If you've ever met someone like Tomoko in real life you'd know why they have no friends.

I bet half of /a/ would want to get to be friends with her because

I knew a clone of Tomoko in high school back in the late 00's. She was skinny and really into pokemon, drawing in every class, while not actually bad looking. However she was awkward as all hell to be around and spoke with a pseudo american accent (living in Scotland here). Honestly, I probably bullied her passively a little as well for being so awkward.

Of course I like people, but the Tomokos of the world are beyond help. I tried to help them open up, grow up, but all it does is make them retreat further into isolation. I WAS a Tomoko throughout middle school and the beginning of high school, but I finally said "fuck this" and made the conscious choice to change.
