A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

Gonna repost this from a previous thread because it fits the theme. Based on a horror story I got halfway through writing and then gave up on.
MC is a lonely boy in college. He goes to all his classes and gets good grades, but he has not made any friends or gone to any non-mandatory social event in his entire time there. One day, as he is eating dinner by himself in the dining hall, he overhears a group of people talking about a strange man living near campus who sells "supplements" to students. He hears one of the people mention that these supplements boost one' memorization skills, athletic strength, and even can get others to like you more. Intrigued, MC eventually wanders to the place the man is said to live, an old, decaying house in a bad neighborhood near the college. Inside, MC finds a strange old man living in Victorian-era squalor. MC tells this man of how lonely he is, and how he wants to make friends and have people attracted to him. Smiling, the old man retrieves a vial of a strange liquid and offers it to MC for a reasonable price. Taking the liquid, MC returns to his dorm and begins to drink the prescribed amount every night before bed.

The MC Abdul is a teenaged muslim suicide bomber who just died because his bomb went of prematurely killing no infidels at all.
He gets denied access to paradise because of his failure but because his father was so succesful when he suicidebombed, he gets a deal:

Finally there is Fatima, Abdul's childhood friend and true love. unfortunately she's a paragon of chastity and all that Abdul wants is her to take with to paradise.
It's a romantic comedy with a dark twist and some ankle and shoulder fanservice.

It's basically Mission: Impossible and/or Starsky & Hutch in the Edo-period. One young man, an apprentice, and one young woman,a former prostitute, are recruited to be part of a secret government task forced that answers only to the Shogun and his advisers. They are essentially tasked with investigating, infiltrating, and busting yakuza, anti-government groups, and Christian sects in feudal Japan's largest cities.

Episode 1 - looks like standard SOL in a high school. introduce almost all characters and world build. takes place during homeroom 0700 to 0800.
Episode 2 - 0800 to 0900. pro north korean terrorists take over the school and hold a couple classes hostage. class president girl gets killed in front of the police and media to show they mean business.
episode 3 through 24 - each episode take place over an hour in real time. all the students and teachers die through out. as various students attempt escapes. Terrorists kill more to goad the police or punish escape attempts. police rescue attempts fail and police accidentally shoot students. all the terrorists die and the only named character to survive will be a local detective who will monologue for 5 minutes at the end on what an utter waste this all was. expect a lot of big tear jerking deaths as best girls and long life friends all get gruesome deaths. deaths like being dragged by your hair and tossed out a third floor window. blown up by booby traps just as you think you have escaped. the cute tanline tomboy sports girl getting raped to death.

A former MILF detective recently fired from her job on the police force now working as a freelance private eye taking odd jobs while in her free time looking for clues to the whereabouts of her missing son who ran away when he was twelve and should by now be 16. During her investigation she finds out the police are hot on the trail of a serial killer, but she shockingly finds out the primary suspect is her son, and the lead detective on the case is her replacement.

If adapted for a VN you would play as the MILF, you can recruit members into your private investigation team, these people are the potential routes in addition to a son route, and a route with the new police detective. Good and bad ends for each, possible son on mother rape. It's possible to avoid romances completely however, as that would not be the point of the VN.

Considered a recluse and the ultimate try hard, even in the face of the school's math and robotics club who at first sees his potential, but ultimately shun a person who can easily make the rest of them look bad.

In the end, the the MC's love interest ends up marrying someone else.

Heart broken but ever determined. He brings a bouquet to the wedding, hoping to get his feelings in the simplest honest way. However, he is shocked and horrified to find that some lesbian took credit for all his work dismissed as misunderstandings. His love, who secretly wanted to find this mystery person, was fooled, as well as our MC.

His work dishonored, his love lost, and personally shunned by society, our MC redirects his knowledge and skill into a new objective: to rule the world that had cheated him out. 2nd cour follows our MC as he plays footsies with the Eastern Block and NATO as he becomes:
