How the fuck did the horse survive this?
I believe when the previous thread died we were on the subject of useless hot girls.
Goodnight, sweet princess.
Feels weird now that this show is over. I'm gonna miss the shitposting.
Would you burn her at the stake?
No more fun times with Kaisar, Fava, and Amira
Isn't she cute
> Nearly five episodes of Azazel crawling to be by Lucifer's side through fire and dirt after being fucked over times tripple
> No reunion or rehabilitation for loyality and valliant efforts whatsoever
> Not even a nod, a look!
> Heck, they might both be dead!
I too want the OST, no idea if it's out/when it comes out
Overall a good and refreshing anime. Sufficently quenched my fantasy genre boner. Coo, art and animation.
The story is very loosely related to the game (only some of the characters are shared).
S2/OVA is always possible considering they have unlimited funds and promoted the game pretty well.
>Great character interaction
The only thing he do is screaming FAVARO and AMIRA-JOU. His obsession with Favaro is almost as annoying as that PTSD LT guy in A/Z. He was dumb and pretty useless for the most part.
Literally turning into a 5 years old. In the beginning, she has a mysterious side to her and that made her interesting, combine with her pimp slapping antic make her good. But as the plot progress, the more the group grow close to her, the more boring she become (become childish, repetitive interaction, etc). And at somewhere near the end of the show, she's nothing but a child in adult body. I'm not saying she isn't one at the first place, what I meant is her type of character change, get it?
Probably the only character who's good.
She doesn't do much.
And so on, it's a long list, I don't care enough to point out every flaw in every character.
And finally, great character interaction alone doesn't make a masterpiece. Especially when the plot is flawed.
Azazel fans are truly based http://togetter.com/li/747816
>she has a mysterious side to her and that made her interesting
She acts like a child since the beginning if you look back. The only thing that is mysterious is her background and that is all.
Kaisar went from a guy who wanted to capture Favaro to the guy who accepted Favaro and trust him. If we go even further back to his childhood, he had trust Favaro before but he was fooled into hating Favaro.
Amira turn from some mysterious character that aims for Helheim to find her mother and become more of a real character. From naive to not so naive. She trusted Favaro till the end.
Rita becomes more like a mother figure to them and she treats them as her children. She especially like Kaisar.
What plot was flawed?
I almost dropped this show at the last moment, Favaro losing a leg made me rage like Bahamut.
>something mentioning hammerhead on it like Kaisar's
I want to think that those inscriptions were made by Rita and not Favaro.
She stopped Azazel.
Also fucking skeletons.
We'll never figure out who made it for them. Though I doubt it was Rita.
>Favaro because he likes metalworking and Kaisar mentioning being in debt to him
>Bacchus because he calls him Hammerhead and bounty rewards
>Favaro because he likes metalworking and Kaisar mentioning being in debt to him
Didn't he pay for the arm though so there's no debt? Also is Favaro actually good at that if the sword is just something he took from his father and couldn't fix the clock?
>You can never protect a 5-year old smiling helplessly.
Why live /a/?
Was it actually his father's? I thought he mentioned it being his finest masterpiece in one of the PVs, or maybe he just added the clock. Also did Kaisar mention paying for the arm? Then I wonder what he was referring to with his "debt".
I can't get too deep into discussion since I've only watched the episode once and probably missed a few things.
That hardly count as "interaction" though. And not all character development is good. Kaisar is boring before and after so it's not worth talking about, but Amira is just a child after her development. She's just plain boring as a complete "child".
Do you even read what I wrote after that.
I want to tittyfuck Jeanne so badly ;__;
This show wasn't dialog-heavy in general as I'm sure you noticed. I thought they did an excellent job conveying her character with her facial expressions without her saying a word. Rita was actually my favorite female character in the show.
The show wasn't deep, and had some derpy CG animated moments, but the character work was by and large great and the larger-than-life style fit well with the game source material.
I've watched (too many) shows over the last five years and don't have patience for much that comes out anymore, and this show was one I looked forward to every week. It surely wasn't deep, but it definitely entertained.
And if you didn't like it, you probably didn't need to watch 12 episodes of it, it's not like it made a secret of the fact that it's based on a levelgrind game.
>but the character work was by and large great
Jeanne was worthless
Amira became annoying as shit
The angels were boring as fuck
The demons did nothing
The villain had no reason for his motive outside lol destruction
The King was a waste of space
Well in the end Jeanne was pretty worthless, her actions didn't really effect anything, even the death of the Angels didn't matter since Bahamut was getting revived was pretty much out of there control.
Wow. Lucifer was absolutely useless, he really is just sitting in his room all day every day, and Beelzebub was just a tool.
Demons needs to get their shit together.
KAISAR IS A CUCK
You pull up the reins, just as the horse is about to touch the ground. This way, you can dampen the impact. It's called the "Munchhausen landing" and frequently used by short jockeys, who are falling from a greater height during show jumping, relatively speaking, to compensate for being smaller than other riders. You can look it up.
Wait, wait, waiit, what happened to amira?
What happened to Bahamut?
And who is the new King?
Dat floating pose.
What happened to Jeanne's sword?
Did it disintegrate when Michael died?
I think this is likely, since he was the one who gifted it to her, so it was probably part of him in some strange way.
Rita already stacked out her claim.
>Amira is a few years old, just had a sped-up aging process. Acts like a child.
>Rita is hundreds of years old, but cannot physically age. Acts like an adult.
So is Kaisar or Favaro the pedophile here?
That whole final scene between them was beautiful. SnB really managed to end on a high note. So many animu series stumble during the ending, but I feel pretty satisfied with this one. And if they add an epilogue for the BD, featuring Rita and maybe Azazel, then I'll replace "pretty" with "thoroughly".
Hmm, I think this this will put a huge dampener of any possibility for a season 2 with the current cast.
Nobody in the world will be stupid enough to revive Bahamut after this. The demons won't have such a short memory, the angels won't either.
If they ever make a second season, it'll probably be with a new cast some few thousand years later.
>useless hot girls
She wasn't useless, she was delicious.
>>You know, if Azazel had the Key the word would be safer
Fucking hell...Jeanne you bitch cunt.
LUCIFER WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG
When you're a fabulous overlord like this, you can never be in the wrong.
Jeanne got betrayed big time, she thought she could trust that man, the master manipulator.
Only for him to be fooled by Favaro and Kaisar's petty trickery, what goes around comes around.
Favaro and Kaisar confirmed for ultimate rusemasters.
Bahamut might have some of the best beginning episodes for a show ever. The first 3-4 episodes are absolutely amazing while nothing new story wise, but the whole package was amazing. I did feel the show start to lose steam as it went on but definitely a high 8 or low 9 show.
I mean damn, that whole first episode, dancing and shit in episode 3, necromancer Loki, show was really good.
Azazel went for the key on his own, Lucifer only instructed him to find out who's Amira's boss.
Everyone's made plenty of mistakes in the show, but we can't judge these characters from our privileged all-knowing spectator standpoint.
>You had one job, Jeanne.
No she didn't
that was the problem
it was "jeanne save us from demons"
then "Jeanne don't outshine the king"
then it was "jeanne, turn evil and attack the heroes"
No one could ever make up their mind as to what her job was.
It's half a year later.
One interpretation of this is that Kaisar went back to being a knight and doing knight things, but every time he sees the inscription on his automail hand, he thinks of Favaro (who made it for him), until he finally decides to resign and go back to chasing after him with the excuse that he can't leave that debt unpaid.
Cue globe-trottin' bounty-huntin' waifu-rescuin' second season plot. Hopefully.
Her job should have been to listen to Michael in my opinion.
She should have stopped giving a shit about the king. Michael pretty much gave her the freecard to do what she wanted, and she squandered that.
She had the people backing her too.
Azazel talks about it in episode three. He went for the key to have something extra for Lucifer as a bribe after he has been locked out of his cave. Supposedly it was Martinet who jammed the gate and prevented Azazel from reporting of Beelzebuth's betray, how it really went though, we'll never know.
>no loli Amira slapping Favaro for making silly faces
Please let there be a S2 for this to happen.
He's like that tagalong who never stops tagging along. I was almost sure the ED was referring to him what with the
>I will follow you~
Her last T&B kits got made into 1/6 busts and she did sell them during this WonFes if I'm not mistaken. There's a chance this will be another of her products, also a 1/6 scale.
I think it would have been pretty cool if the plot was different, and Lucifer (the highest ranking angel?) had some overarching wisdom and knew they would be better off hiding Amira inside his personal closet.
Thus his misery begun ;_; He was trying so hard, but it's tough to have so many factions against you. I'm glad Bub got spliced by both Bahari and Aza, but it should've been Aza's clean kill.
He would be too fabulous, every scene would require a high budget with how shiny he is, and have feathers floating in his presence.
If he tried to take over the Key girl he would have a bunch of angels on his back as well as the entire demon realm snipe against him that it's him who's behind it. He can't really act entirely of his volition like that.
No actually the reasons for that may be pretty trivial. He's too hard to draw. The animators complained about Jeanne and Azazel all the time. Imagine Lucifer in action, it's near impossible to animate all that detail on him. I do wish they'd compose the Fallen Angel faction more smartly into the finale considering those were the only demons who had any real plot involvement and it would be pretty rewarding to see them fight back for real.
Lucifer is also a pretty hyped card and I think writers wanted to avoide have the popular cards do too much.
You weren't the only one.
I really hoped they'd be together in the end, so I'm so glad it turns out he will FAVAROOOOOO after all.
His faction is just one of many and there's plenty of competition going on. Just look at Belzebuth, he'd go as far as killing his men just to keep the key at his belt and other demons are no different. They probably aren't as stupid as to try and use it the way Beelz did.
The person who wanted this is probably long gone, but I'll post it anyway.
Why were you so useless... MY JEANNE?
Yeah... and there probably won't be a lot of fan art either. We may get some for a little while, but soon that'll die off too.
A passing moment in time. I had fun.
He ended up dropping the ball and not being there for in her time of need, and as a result lots of bad shit went down. It's understandable that he'd feel a little regret.
This show deserved better.
Amira and Fava's exchange at the end really got to me, everyone's face was animated with so much care in this episode. I'm really going to miss this show.
It was a pleasure watching this with /a/, haven't had fun like this since super hero summer 2011.
That it did, friend. That it did.
I miss going on hour escapades on pixiv for my favorite shows, such a shame with the minimal amount of fanart.
>haven't had fun like this since super hero summer 2011.
Hah, you must be me. After this it's back to tackling my backlog.
He looked so fine this episode. (Although they all did, pretty much.)
That, and sacrificing all my iTunes gift cards on the altar of the mobage in hopes that our wishes will reach Cygames.
I definitely found it to be the most fulfilling journey from beginning of the show to end since R.O.D the TV.
Good job, Mappa and creative staff; way to end the year on a high note.
And I never even got porn of him. I should have known delicious brown was too good to be true...
Man, they really amped up Kaisar's eyelashes there. I can dig it.
He should bring Kaisar too, for "assistance."
And this is why omnipandering is a beautiful thing.
True, but I'm sure going to do my best to keep them going. If the Samurai Flamenco threads can do it, why can't we?
In any case, there's still a decent amount of stuff I need to translate, so I'll be around for that. Here's one short one before I got to bed:
Uriel: How dare you go against the three of us and pardon Jeane!!
Raphael: Any way you look at, you're much too sweet on her, Michael!!
Michael: After all, I AM an angel.
Raphael: wtf lolololol seriously lolololol Let me try! lololol
Martinet: Oh dear, is that a cold, Aaaaaazazellllll?
So much shit for the last episode, I'm disappointed because the stroy was constructed very well.
>Alignmente inversion because so, not that everybody is already fucked/imprisioned/somewhere else
>antidotes for alignment inversion everywhere
>-I'm the ultimate enemy :-No! I'm the ultimate enemy!
>Bunch of crazy ass gods and demons swinging around bahamut, none that we should care about that much
>Gothic lolitas can grow arms. Okay w/e.
>But then the two main characters become Katawa Shoujo edits, nobody cares if they want their limbs back
The ending was fine, it was one of my top favorite animes this year. I just wish they toned down the convoluted shit they threw in the very last episode.
He's imitating Azazel's "I AM a demon" line in episode 7. Basically they're all mocking him, hence the last panel's people-are-talking-about-me sneeze.
And thank you both for being an appreciative audience. Let's all Bahari MAX into the new year together.
Maybe it's the year 1015 in Bahamutverse.
>True, but I'm sure going to do my best to keep them going. If the Samurai Flamenco threads can do it, why can't we?
I'm game. All the other places that discuss this show online to any length are too rigid for me. I like you guys, we can all just casually discuss everything from actual plot and theories to what a characters chest hair might look like.
One of my only real regrets about this series is that we never got to see Kaisar with his shirt off.
That was the last show I'd expected to have any allusions to a continuation given its nature and production history. Too bad their twitter is dead silent so far.
I guess they really did deserve to die didn't they.
>tfw he is so pure we will never see his full perfection
Oh well, we got hair down moe in the final episode. That's pretty good.
Yeah the end cards were pretty nice.
>Charioce was never this cool in the show
Did he deserve to be taken back under Lucifer's wing? Would you take him back?
I like how the villians got their just desserts in the show.
>King gets killed by a falling portrait of his mom
>Belz get's btfo by bahamut
>Gilles the mastermind getting rused
Has there been any increase in ingame purchases since the anime?
Amira would have been safe with Lucifer and Azazel.
Jeanne by saving her from them effectively killed her.
Lucifer would have deemed it too risky to keep her alive and killed her.
This new "Jeanne did everything wrong meme" has got to stop.
And that would have been a better fate than living for eternity inside a killing machine, if you ask me. No, that's merciful in comparison and something Favaro himself resorted to in the end.
I'm sorry but every ending that has Amira dying isn't the true ending. You need to start over.
Maybe play Jeanne's route to get over your prejudice.
No, that's the only ending in which Martinvalley doesn't get his way. Amira is his main operational tool, the only way to destroy his scheme is to take out the tool.
Sorry but she is now forever bound to Bahamut, that's worse than death.
>Lavalley probably cut some hairstrands while Jeanne was semi-unconscious
Amira's existence now consists of being sealed away in solitude and occasionally, every other millenia or so, being shot at, restrained and seeing countles deities burn.
Maybe is she wasn't such a overachiever King would hate her less and be less eager about sending her to the stakes.
MC with facial hair, in my chinese cartoon !?
He looks way better and older that way.
The japanese noticed that once she's pulling off she's crying, hard to see in funi subs.
>expect trainwreck ending
>get FAVAROOO instead
I tried looking it up and found nothing, so I'll assume this is a troll. If it isn't, then I will feel cheated by the laws of physics and will proceed to fly by standing in a bucket and lifting the bucket up.
This is the tentative sketch of the sculpt.
Anyone here have a link to the final episode thread?
Just finished the episode. Fug.
HOLY SHIT ALL OF MY FEELS
i'LL BE BACK
If theres really gonna be a seaon two I will shit myself, the series was just so well done, amazing really
It's pretty oldschool, in a cool way.
If you're looking for a show that avoids most of the overexposed anime tropes of today, SnB is a good watch.
I said "of today", didn't I?
Exposition has been hounding anime since the beginning of time.
Hell, you have to disregard most shows if you're going to complain an over-reliance of exposition.
I'm finally watching Psycho Pass right now and it's mostly two pale people in business suits explaining things to each other.
It was still very well received.
>putting Ping Pong and SAO2 in the same bag
Kaisar is so handsome
I think I'm gay for him, took a bunch of screenshots of his fabulous moments in this episode
I'd agree that Mushishi is better and that Shingeki no Bahamut is more enjoyable than Fate, but I don't think UBW is actually shit. It's still one of the better overall projects of the season, but I'm a little bored with seeing ufotable adapting nasuverse shit at this point.
How the fuck does this shit work? Don't you need to weaken shit with bounties before turning them into cards or some shit? That was kinda cheap.
That guy wasnt powerfull to begin with, he wasnt using any magical power, his tools were his potions
There was nothing to weaken, also his body was malfunctioning already, so there's that
No, the weakening part is just to ensure that the target won't interfere with the incantation or step out of the spell range. Giles was caught by surprise and failed to do both things to stop the magic.
>Unless if you want him to stick his dick in your ass, then that's pretty gay.
It's not gay if he dresses like a woman, though.
Well, in short... the first four episodes are awesome, then in the middle its turn a bit 'on the classic fantasy story but I appreciate that in the ending. Favaro choose to kill Amira, not bad. Different solution than the usual "I want to save everyone" and closer to the spirit of the character.
I especially loved how they defeated "Marilyn Manson". No twists with "determination" and "endless stamina" like classics shonen plot. here we have simply strategy that give meaning to the role of bounty.
It started to lose steam the past couple episodes but man that ending was so satisfying. Usually anime endings suck but I was really impressed. Parasyte, Mushishi, and Bahamut are leagues ahead of anything else this season.
I'll be backS2 when?
I think SnB achieved exactly what it set out to do, being a swashbuckling adventure in the vein of 80ies movies. I see many bloggers and even posts here complaining how it was all predictable and that this was somehow a detrimental point, but I see the style and writing of the whole series more as an homage if anything else.
You may as well call the original Terminator predictable, or to take a newer example Pirates Of The Caribbean. This wasn't supposed to be 6th Sense. The excitement comes from seeing stuff unfold and explode, while we get to know the lead characters, who grow into heroes. Hell, Amira's entrance, development and exit were pretty much lifted from Terminator and more prominently Terminator 2. Appears naked out of nowhere and steals the clothes of a bunch of passerbys, slowly humanized by interaction with the heroes, while still being the heavy hitter in the team, then a manly tears inducing farewell with a sacrifice by the Terminator/Amira, because "that's how things have to be". The final card has "I'LL BE BACK" for fucks sake.
To repeat, SnB succeeded brilliantly in what it set out to do and it's one of the highlights of this year IMHO.
Watching the last episode made me feel like when I stayed up late as a kid to watch the weird cartoons and movies they showed on Space. They did do the retro thing rather well.
Kaisar could have done it himself when he had Gilles pinned down, no need to chop off his hand. And he did have time when Favaro instead of just using the spell decided to brag and sound cool "Heeey, I have advice for you..." for dramatic effect. Kaisar is just too stupid.
Oh, the memories. So many feelings during the final episode.
I'm gonna miss his drunken doya face so fucking much, glad the true best biy is getting the attention he deserves by fanartists and fan merch makers.
