How hype are you ?
I don't really care about the premise either way, it'll all depend on the characters and how well the story is told.
She looks so droopy in the original design.
more character pics
Still beautifully comfy. That fluffy hair, those eyebrows.
All the girls have shoes in these pictures. Way to kill the hype.
They are so damn fluffy
That's a like a muggle asking a wizard to explain magic. I can offer you nothing but pity.
ANN readers comments to this are funny
Some posts are real similar to certain /a/ posts. 80% sure the user Sunny milk is LRD.
It's OP's fault for linking ANN.
Will watch only because one of the characters has a birthday of February 13.
She reminds me of Mitsuki from KnK for some reason.
Sorry son, I don't like to go full hijack.
It's like K-On, except it has a guy. Also KyoAni magic. It will probably do at least decently.
Now all we need is a Jeff Goldblum reaction pic in an orchestra or playing brass or something.
Yaraon or Otakomu? They're where ANN gets most of their news from anyway, and you don't have to worry about dodgy translation error or ANN's tendency to slap a genre onto everything even if they have no idea what the source is like. Like earlier today when ANN called Re-Kan an "Horror Comedy".
Time to guess: will KyoAni use veteran seiyuu, newbies ala K-On or Tamako, or a mixture of both?
Hopefully that Hazuki character will have a lot of involvement. She has Shinka's hairclip and she kind of reminds me of Mayaka.
This is another moeshit designed to feed all those retarded otaku who wants to fap with their loli waifu. Same bullshit as Amagi.
K-on with saxophones and retarded plot with poor character development.
I know this is just a joke, but if some did that it would be financial suicide and sales would hit rock bottom. I'm sure hipsters would appreciate such a work, though.
>retarded plot with poor character development
We won't know yet until it actually comes out. I wonder though if people liked the original novel given that it's rather obscure.
I'm hoping for something similar to Nodame Cantabile, where the music is a major theme in the series and helps them grow.
>Watching anime for plot
Is this a new meme or something?
Possible, but then again Free and to some extent Kyokai weren't primarily newbie seiyuu. Also, who knows. They could also stick Aya or Aki there somewhere. Also, HanaKana could get her first KyoAni roe.
I hurt your feelings edgy kiddos? only because I say the truth?. All of you are the cancer of the earth. Try to watch ME!ME!ME! and see how pathetic are your lifes.
>All of you are the cancer of the earth
I didn't even like K-on and won't watch SoL without an interesting twist.
go after the names in the PV and the instruments.
Oumae Kumiko (Euphonium)
Kousaka Reina (Trumpet)
A male? In my notKei-on? Nope. (Trombone)
Katou Hazuki (Tuba)
Kawashima Sapphire (Contrabass)
Tanaka Asuka (Euphonium, not in the PV)
>people working outdoors in the summer at a theme park/water park trying everything to pull in customers wear swimsuits
that's not "retarded fanservice" and you getting bent out of shape over it marks you as another whiny neopuritan.
>Hey we have a park with finantial problems
>Use our whores to make fanservice
>Bring a Alpha male character to do some shit
>M-Muh blind princess
>Zero character development, anyways retards still watching this and masturbate to that.
Now you get the idea?.
>not about cute girls doing classical things
>or even jazz things
Of all instruments, brass? Fucking BRASS?
>Dont have any good arguments
>Im going to fuck him with his grammar
Seems like you are really retarded /a/non. Well its nothing new in /a/ since 90% are of the people here are retarded.
Congratulations you summarized the plot.
The only thing there that remotely qualifies as a criticism is "zero character development" and I don't know how much you were expecting from a comedic 1cour series where the focus is on plot over characterization, although at a minimum it's clear that Kanye actually starts caring about the park and the people there at the end, when he began the series as forced by Sento and/or liking the challenge.
>Don't have any good argument
>I'll just attack him for saying my English is bad.
Seems like you really are retarded /v/ermin. Well its nothing new in /v/ since 90% of the people there are retarded.
>Im not going to satisfy a single retarded otaku like you.
I-It's not like I w-wanted you to s-suck m-my dick or anything, b-baka~!
So fucking glad they stopped doing fucking fujoshi shit. Shame on the hoard of tumblr landwhales Free! permanently brought into /a/.
Have fun doesn't mean terrible quality and poor executed work.
You can have fun with a single adaptation with:
I used to play piano myself, but I have to admit that it's one of the easier instruments to learn. Probably the most straightforward.
do people just not read the summaries of these things?
>The original novel's story follows the Kitauji Music club, which used to always advance to national competitions. Ever since the adviser changed, though, it has not advanced past the Kansai tournament. However, thanks to the newly appointed adviser's strict instruction, the students are steadily improving. The club members' daily lives are full of ups and downs including fights over solos and the decision to resign club activities to focus on studies.
They're going to compete in concerts, this isn't a jazz anime. Might have a jazz ost though when they're not playing concert music.
No. Gatoh actually had her as an AV but the editor said no and changed it to Animal Video out of fun. My guess is he thought it would look bad having an Adult actress work at a family-oriented amusement park. It ruins their credibility because porn stars aren't looked favorably upon in society.
>fights over solos and the decision to resign club activities to focus on studies
Can already tell at least four episodes are going to be strict slice-of-life: first for introduction, another for fight-over-solo drama, one for bad grades and another for study group to gain good grades. This already cuts one third of the cour for sure slice-of-life settings, without any concert competitions.
The Storyline was good. How many anime do you watch about a dude trying to save an amusement park with a cast full of fantasy-like characters. Very creative. The soundtrack was amazing. Every time I listen to Track 3 I feel like I'm in charge. The animation was nice. Maybe average by KyoAni's standards but much better than all the other anime that comes out. Character development wasn't completely zero either, but it wasn't a complete focus. The comedy was gold too.
JAV actresses and gravure models aren't. Remember when Ryoka Yuzuki's career was almost ruined when they found out she used to do gravure?
I've played the trumpet and tenor sax for 2 or so years and piano for five times that; brass is the easiest to learn in my opinion, mostly because you don't actually learn theory and because one hand is exponentially easier to play with than both.
>had to wait a millenia to get introduce to orchestras
>primitive cavemen instruments that can only play fundamentals and overtones, have to wait another century to actually leave Plebland's Magical Music Group and actually play many notes
>still no considerable amount of solo repertoire
Brass is literally the dumb brother of the musical instruments.
the club they're part of has over a 100 members with enough instruments for you fight over. Saxophone is the club president btw. Because the Saxophone is always the president.
He's neither read the LNs nor watched the anime. You can read his previous posts and tell that much. I doubt he'd be able to understand character development anyway, considering his poor English. He's just an ebin b8ing spic or yuropoor who thinks that hating things means he has good taste.
>I dont really know if you are trying to bait or not, but you really need to kill yourself.
Nah, I genuinely felt that way about Amagi. Sad to hear you didn't like it. Hope you have more fun with Euphonium.
I get that you strongly dislike the series for whatever reason, although some of your criticisms are so fucking generic and you've declined to engage with anyone stating specifics, so I seriously wonder if you've actually seen it or just read a summary online.
But you've done a terrible job of supporting your position and "stop liking what I don't like" with a side of "kill yourself" isn't an argument.
Unlike at anime news network, at 4chan's /a/ we expect a high quality of discussion.
>high quality of discussion
This is a bait right?, because the only explanation to want a high quality discussion is killing the 90 % of /a/ and bring the oldfags with good taste here again.
Free eternal newfag summer was the last minor project, then Amagi big project with Takemoto and then this, minor project again with low tier director Ishihara and subpar staff
>there are people in this thread right now who have never been in marching band or wind ensemble during there middle school / high school years.
>Shitty minor project
As much as I love Amagi and Based Takemoto/Gatoh one can clearly see they're using all their money and resources on KnK and Euphonium. I still hope they have an interest in getting back on friendly terms with Kadokawa. In a sense Amagi can be considered important from that perspective.
>implying the oboe isn't the hero every ensemble deserves
>implying it's not the bassoon, the most underrated of instruments
>not big project
I completely disagree. I've played both piano an trumpet, and brass instruments are a lot harder to learn, since they require more physical technique in order to sound good.
As a new brass player you're going to sound like shit for a lot of time. Some people are going to sound like shit forever.
Playing the piano, it's much easier to get some decent sounds out of it. When it comes to mastery, both might be hard, but the point where you start to sound decently is much earlier reached while playing piano.
>playing stone age analog instruments when all the cool shit is digital
Get with the times, grandpa.
Do you hate Takemoto or something?
a Shirobako esque show of NicoNico vocaloid composers would be kind of cool
I'm sorry but that is just completely disingenuous. To even suggest playing the trumpet is more difficult than the piano is laughable.
You're comparing apples to oranges; playing notes and scales is obviously going to be easier on the piano, since the actual mechanism of key is eaier to deal with, but playing pieces, playing compositions is not even remotely similar in difficulty.
Playing piano requires more ability (not as in 'better'), but MORE. You need to play the right notes, at the right tempo and volume, which the trumpet does, but you also need to play with both hands, worry about chords, articulation, key signatures, pedal, very frequent changes in pitch, etc. There is just more involved. Try playing a polyphonic piece on a trumpet.
>Both Hyouka and Amaburi were shit
shittyopinion you've got there m8.
You can clearly see that Amagi has rougher, shittier animation and line works (even their CGI is pretty shitty) compared to Chuu2Ren and Free!! ES
On another note, Euphonium PV looks pretty and way cleaner than previously Amagi PV.
Free!! started as a minor project with Animation Do as the primary animation production. No one expected it to be this big.
I'm sure once the april KnK movie comes out people will change their minds on it too, except BD with subs will be in 2016
>There is just more involved.
It is still a lot less physical. It's more mental than physical work. You can easily practice a piano piece over and over and at some point it's going to sound decent.
Playing a brass instrument piece over and over is going to strain you physically, chances are you're going to sound worse over time rather than better. Progress is made much slower. The entry level hurdle is higher.
Again, we're not talking about mastery here, we're going about getting to a level where you don't sound like complete shit. And that stage is much earlier reached playing the piano.
Using your lungs and having to hold the instrument instead of hand-eye coordination and dexterity are two different things. Like I said, apples and oranges, and even then in my opinion it's very clear which takes a higher level of mastery.
Let's agree to disagree, clearly I'm not going to persuade a brass player.
>Most people hated Tamako but after TLS came out even that hate vanished.
That's a false assumption.
Most people who hated Tamako (such as myself) didn't even bother with TLS, so the threads about it turned out to be circlejerks of the people who liked it.
The girl with the twin tails on the left plays the saxophone, the girl with the red glasses on the right plays a silver euphonium. The boy who is totally not Satoshi plays the trombone and the other guy is the new adviser for the club.
I like the anime designs too. But it does feel like something is lost in translation.
I like both Omae's chara design in the novel and the anime, but the latter reminds me quite a bit of Haruhi. At least the fluffiness carried over and she is still best girl regardless.
No, I won't. I think the hinted romance in Tamako Market completely ruined the mood and I'm not going to watch a full movie about this shit. It's sad that I'm going to miss out on more Kanna for this, but it can't be helped.
>using your lungs
>not using your diaphragm
>no mention on embouchure control, wind speed, and finger dexterity
I'll agree for him to disagree, it really isn't worth the effort.
>How do you know it was most people that didn't bother with TLS after watching Tamako?
Because why would they bother watching a movie expanding on a story they didn't like, possibly after having even dropped the show?
If they made a movie expanding Hyouka, I wouldn't watch it either.
how can this be a show about music if it doesn't have drums?
>The double bass, or upright bass, also called the string bass, contrabass, bass viol, stand-up bass, bull fiddle or simply bass, is the largest and lowest-pitched bowed string instrument of the viol family in the modern symphony orchestra, with strings usually tuned to E1, A1, D2 and G2 (see standard tuning).
That's because Hyouka wasn't supposed to be like K-on! at all and you probably watched it thinking it would. The director himself said that Hyouka is bittersweet, and it really is.
Based on the amount of threads when the raw came out and all the praise I saw, especially with people saying they changed their opinion of Tamako. It's safe to say there are a lot of people who like Tamako now.
>Based on the amount of threads when the raw came out and all the praise I saw
Again, these were people who probably finished the original Tamako Market, these were people who didn't outright dislike the original Tamako Market and were thus willing to give it another chance.
The entry hurdle for someone to watch the movie is much higher since he has to finish the show first.
Do you think someone who disliked the show that he dropped it would finish it just to watch some movie further expanding it?
Of course the threads are going to be more positive since you have less people who disliked the show. This should be a no-brainer.
Actually, Tamako Love Story was intended to be a standalone film. KyoAni even said so, that people could watch it without knowing anything about TM.
>people who didn't outright dislike the original Tamako Market and were thus willing to give it another chance.
Turns out, it's really easy to make TM good - remove bird, remove prince, make characters interact like human beings. Voila!
>Do you think someone who disliked the show that he dropped it would finish it just to watch some movie further expanding it?
Yeah, I'm not saying every person would do it but there would definitely be some people who might give it a chance. The fact that it's a movie and not another season makes it easier.
>less people who disliked the show.
There were also many people who changed their opinion of hating Tamako to liking it because the movie redeemed the series. There have also been recommendation threads asking if one should watch Tamako before TLS solely because of the praise the movie got when there were a lot of threads on here.
>there would definitely be some people who might give it a chance.
Again: these are people who didn't DISLIKE the original show, but people who might not have enjoyed it much but who didn't think it was all bad. The people who actually disliked it have been filtered out because they obviously wouldn't care about the movie. And trolls wouldn't care either, simply because the show wasn't popular enough after so many people dropped it.
>There were also many people who changed their opinion of hating Tamako to liking it because the movie redeemed the series.
Again: people who changed their opinion from moderate disappointment mostly rather than outright dislike.
>no strings section
Well this show's gonna
nah, there's piano
But there's staff who handle instrument, anon
There's still probability then
>Horiguchi is still dead
>Nao Naito is still dead
>Kadowaki is working on KnK movies and whatever project she has next
Their top animation directors wont likely be in the show.
I'm worried it will look like crap.
Where is my cute composers doing cute things anime?
>Vivaldi, Bach, Hendel upperclassmen
>Mozart and Beethoven yuri subtext
>Rossini and Mendelssohn bros
>Chopin, Wagner, Verdi underclass
>classical and musical humour with references to pieces they've written
>making fun of contemporary conposers
>fighting about which is better, baroque, classical, or romantic
There is but it's fujoshit
So much for the shipping happened during the movie promo. It never deliver. Not even holding hands.
The entire movie can be explained by Wikipedia summaries. "Mochizo working up his balls to confess, and Tamako working up her balls to answer him" The End.

I'll have it going on my second monitor for the ost and potential cuteness since it'll probably be another shitty drama fest like shigatsu.
So I'm not that hype.
KyoAni sure likes showing off legs.
>No they'll do it again when Utsumi gets to direct another show.
This anime is simply KyoAni`s tribute to Yamakan
They want him back and this show is a message: "we love you, please come back and save us!". Teacher represents him.
The funny thing is, Yamakan used belong to a brass band in high school, and even published a novel based on his experiences. While Yamakan was still at Kyoani he had wanted to make a brass band anime. Seeing this PV he must be pissed.
Ooooh that music was like some Bebop shit, The story doesn't sound appealing but the music could be a big factor for me.
Kyoani tried to get Yamakan's LN but didn't succeed.
Immediately in love after seeing PV. Probably listened to it more than 50 times already.
REAL drama. Like, people dying. That's real drama. "I disagree with my parents" is not a real drama.
