Archer is right about her, her plan has the highest chance of success, and the least collateral damage. Not bad, pretty good. I really hated some of the liberties they took with extra scenes/how scenes played out like the Berserker fight and Saber vs Fake Assassin, but liked some others like the Rin vs Illya and the church one of today so I can forgive the shitty ones I guess.

Also the Caster one for Rule Breaker scene was kinda weird. Did they fill having a whole day without any action was too much? Also Kirei and Lancer were both 10/10 in the last episode, they stole the show.

It's a first person novel. Except for a few interludes and additional scenes added by Ufotable, you're almost always seeing things from Shirou's perspective. The other masters are doing things. Lancer for instance has been scouting out all of the other servants for Kirei. You're just not seeing that because the story doesn't happen in third person.

As an adaptation it's pretty close to perfect though I'm not a fan of the OST, I liked the new scenes written by Nasu like the Iliya one in episode 3 so it would have been nice to have more of that but I guess the second cour will have more original stuff.

As an actual independent show it's 6-7/10, it's a flaw that was already in the game but it really feel like nothing much has happened and despite the great production values there was no fight or scene that had any real impact.

Probably would have rated it a bit higher if this season wasn't so full of heavy hitters but honestly UBW kind of pales compared to some of them

The key thing to understand is that no, you're not getting the full picture because the narrative wasn't structured to give you the full picture. Some routes you get to see what some character do more than others. The visual novel medium allows for this sort of approach. We're lucky with UBW because that's the route that has the most balance in terms of seeing masters do things.
