so i just finshed watching the durarara specials,
why did no one ever told me that izaya has 2 little incestuos yuri sisters, now i can't wait for the second season, i want more of this now, can we just declare the second season of durarara the best anime of 2015, seriosly this anime has a great plot, there is also something about about a girl without head, and some kids and their little gangs but who cares about them, can we just get more of izaya and his sisters
Fuck off, Mumi. No one likes you.
Celty is best DRRR.
>Twincest has to be one of the fucking weirdest fetish I've ever seen
They're continuing where the first season left off.
I think this might be the first series I try to watch with /a/ I was kinda lost int he first season till I finished it, then alot of things made sense and boy that smug dude with the coat getting rekt by the end of it was worth it
So I mean 1st season was enjoyable, but how will the later arcs compare? I also heard the introduction of this "Aoba" guy actually makes the series less enjoyable.
Also, does Celty still play a big role? Cuz she really is one of the only reasons i am watching this.
It does get better, Aoba is going to be love him or hate him character, he's basically mini Izaya.
Celty is still one the main characters. I'd say as the series progresses that Mikado's story takes priority. He does become more interesting but not as good Celty though.
>that smug dude with the coat getting rekt by the end of it was worth it
Stick around to see him get stabbed.
Honestly, they only showed up in eth last episode and it threw the dinamic off. It was like a last minute jerk for the fans that was truelly uneeded. Not sure what role they play in the light novels or manga, but I don't care. I hope they don't show up in the second season.
TLDR- I hate forced yuri, which seems to be all yuri
I could be misremembering, but wasn't it also in-universe forced yuri? As in, they were doing it purposefully to get reactions?
I really need to sit down and do a reread before the new season starts.
He's an asshole and no one likes him. He has one friend in the world and even that guy calls him asshole.
I'm just going to say this now.
If you are actually planning to pick this up for the yuri; don't. They are side characters who don't appear much, and later in the novels they both kiss some boy and by the end are in an OT3 type relationship with him.
He treats them like that because he doesn't want them to love him and become a target to all his potential enemies.
He also made them learn martial arts and always asks Celty to look after them.
He loves his sisters.
I don't remember there being a canon lesbian but there are several yuri scenes spread through out the series.
That's not really true, you're giving Izaya too much credit.
No, it’s not like that, Courier.
You got it completely wrong.
I asked you to protect my sister...
Because I couldn’t risk having you come to the bar...when Niekawa Haruna was also there. That was all.
The OVA is filler.
He started asking Celty for help on volume 9 whe things started to get ugly.
As I said before, he did it because he cares about them. Dude is insane, he thinks Shinra and his sisters are a weakness to him and constantly does things that should make them hate him so that he can also stop loving them.
The way they introduce it in the LN is just too great.
>Aw shit some girl is breaking into this guy's room
>AW SHIT she found something crazy and now he's killing her
>Eat some cup noodles while onee-san humps him
She kisses her brother's gf in volume 5 or 6 I think. She wanted to feel the lips that kisses her brother.
She's too busy trying to not die in the last volumes though, so we don't really know if she's still into her brother, but chances are yes she is.
New character. Shizuo's going to be building up his harem all this season.
I thought that dude who is the admin for a 2chan was gonna have a harem, but series like these are really confusing sometimes, makes it hard to choose who want to follow because everyone's story is so good, but shizuo is good too , good for him
I think Shizuo predates that guy, so put it the other way around.
A lot of characters remind me of Shizuo.
Now that I think about it, Working is going to be airing right after DRRR. Again.
Kinda but not really.
>Izaya’s tone is filled with mockery and glee, but all this while Shizuo has said absolutely nothing. >He climbs the stairs of the building wordlessly, and stops when he reaches about midway. He then opens his mouth.
>Unable to hear any anger in Shizuo’s tone, Izaya answers.
>"… What is it?"
>In a calm, nearly peaceful tone, Shizuo replies:
>"… Goodbye." (**He says ‘abayo’, a cultural version of ‘sayonara’, which in the Japanese has the effect of saying ‘goodbye forever.’ )
>With only this said, Shizuo ends the call.
He was obsessed with Shizuo.
Shizuo was obsessed with him.
It wasn't a "like" in the homo way,
that's what Shinra is forit was an obsessive relationship, but a relationship nonetheless. The fact that Shizuo cut all ties with him destroyed that relationship and it made Izaya sad. Simple and non-homo as that.
It's been 5 years, but I think I remember some details like having someone as a king to represent leadership and someone as an othello piece to represent switching sides. It obviously wasn't a game but you would almost make it out as a map of the main characters.
>Narita knows how gay the whole thing
Though if he's telling the truth, he didn't realize how gay it would seem when he first started writing about those two. Someone had to explain it to him.
I was just thinking about that, despite >>118671520 and >>118673728 and a few other scenes, it still has such a big fujo reputation.
I don't know about the merchandising, though.
>ton of otaku-bait girls
not really. I remember looking this show up when I was watching it because I thought for sure it was written by a woman, considering how much dialogue there is.
>considering how much dialogue there is.
Did you think monogatari was written by a women too?
And why do fujoshi buy the LNs when they contain so much content that doesn't pander to them?
>"......Izaya could not bring himself to spit out the fluid filling his mouth, and decided to swallow it instead. To spit it out was to expose his weakness in front of Shizuo, a thought he was unable to stand - " >"Izaya tried to slide the fluid-dripping length deeper and deeper into himself. Maybe he's just not used to it enough - even though he was using the whole might of his body, it was impossible to advance just another inch......"
I really think that Narita told Yasuda to crank up the fanservice in the later volumes to attract more otaku.
I hope there's more chances of less fujoshit with Vorona coming in though. Maybe doujins won't be a Shizuo/Izaya fest again now. Anri only got like 3? fucking doujins.
Who am I kidding, it's all going to be homo again. At least do homo right and do Izaya with Shinra
No, but Monogatari is quite obviously a guy's point of view. DRRR has a lot of male on male vibes. Also I find this guy to be quite attractive.
>And why do fujoshi buy the LNs when they contain so much content that doesn't pander to them?
Because pretty much everything mainstream doesn't pander to them. (Recently that's been changing). They're used to ignoring what doesn't appeal to them; you don't get the same hissy fits male otaku throw.
Narita is ok with homos and he even ships them sometimes. He even said his OTP is Gilgamesh x Enkidu, hence why he's writing Fate/Strange Fake.
It's Yasuda the one who comes up with the design and the fanservice.
Yasuda's otp is Shizuo/Namie and it's thanks to him that they got great scenes together later in the novels.
Yasuda draws some lovely ladies and men, but I don't understand this at all.
Because only fujoshits give a shit about Drrr.
There is a reason why LN translations for this shit series are only found in a fujoshit hangout like Livejournal.
Hell, no one on /a/ even gives a shit about Drrr besides the fujoshits.
That's why the last thread lasted for 2 days while being pathetically bumped every 2 hours every time the thread was about to 404 from lack of responses.
You don't really see much Drrr LN discussion in Japan, either, much less the Japanese otaku blogs because it's not even a series worth shitstorming about or caring about spoilers in the first place.
>I hope there's more chances of less fujoshit with Vorona coming in though.
Not gonna happen.
Sure, Vorona, Ruri, Mairu, Kururi and Shinra's step mom are hot as fuck and all, but Chikage is also being introduced and the guy is a massive flirt.
He even flirts with Shizuo and has a rivalry relationship with Kadota. Fujoshi eat that shit up.
Also the mafia old men will attract a lot of bara porn, mark my words.
Gonna be a lot of Chikage/Kadota shit. Could also depend on how the studio goes about adapting things. BB added a lot of stuff to pander to fujoshi, like 3/4's of Shizuo's backstory in ep 7 is not in the novel.
They have an interesting relationship actually.
They both claim they work together for convenience and because Namie doesn't have anything else, but they have helped each other countless times now.
They actually act like an old married couple in the novels, plus they only have each other later on in the last volumes when things get really ugly for both of them.
Izaya even has Namie listed as "pizza guy" in his phone so as to not put her in danger.
If it weren't for Namie's brocon tendencies, I could totally see it happening.
He looks like a new Izaya in Durarara!! SH
