Was Amagi Brilliant Park any good?
watch it for her
It was honestly pretty enjoyable
No focus on shitty romance
No forced drama that goes on for too long
MC that's actually likeable
Plot is simple but execution is great
Each episode has something new to show
Has a satisfying ending that could lead into a second season but if not, it's fine anyway.
It's not totally amazing and AOTS but it's definitely not bad. It's way better than what kyoani had put out recently
If you want something comfortable to watch that's not action heavy or sad but still want a short satisfying experience I'd say go for it.
>Piss poor animation
The fact that all threads for this had to do with who was the best waifu should tell you how "good" this show was
sento and fairies + kanye posting, nope
it had my interest on the sole fact that it was about an amusement park and there are virtually no stories about amusement parks, let alone comedies
Not him, but Amagi's animation was quite subpar compared to Kyoani's recent show.
Still, it's pretty enjoyable.
It was fun and lighthearted, cheered me up every time I was watching it, but otherwise pretty forgetable with a weak story.
It was entertaining enough, but I was sort of disappointed that him being a child actor was ultimately pointless. I thought he would save the day by getting over his trauma and becoming part of an attraction and using his past fame.
It's not even that /a/ is overly critical, it's that many /a/nons have difficulty admitting that shows they personally didn't like might have some merit or that shows they liked could be just fun but forgettable seasonal stuff.
Of course, this series is great, you assholes.
no, but I could't drop it becouse it was so moe
moe is stronger than me
It gave me an armpit fetish that I never asked for.
Anon, you have to stop skipping previews.
I want to see her in a Bikini with tan lines.
>Sento is worst girl
did we watch the same show
it's basically the same
Eh at least those are more entertaining than a doll that poker faces and pretends to have emotions for an entire season
Are you implying that the stadium episode was bad?
>show caters to my armpit fetish
>made by KyoAnus
This was a dream come true
Ah, I was waiting for this to be over to ask about it too, I have seen a few pictures but I'm not quite sure yet if Kyoani has not included some of their late behavior elements in here as well.
Does this has enough ecchi for someone that loves ecchi and comedy?
>People saying bad animation
Either blind or trolling. Was it Hyouka levels of animation? No. But it was well done all the same. It was meh by KyoAni standards but still pretty good in general. A lot of shows piss their budget away in the first 2 or 3 episodes, Amagi looked solid throughout.
I am considering to watch it for the dfc semen demon, how much screen time does she gets? is she important?
It seems some people have difficulty distinguishing between the two.
Just powered through it this morning. When they showed the stadium the first time, I immediately knew that was going to be the final solution even though Seiya should have made use of it the first time he saw it. I really hate it when the make a character supposedly smart yet they can't recognize something like that. I liked the parts when they would go throughout the park and talk about things to fix and how to get people coming in. Didn't like any of the mascot trio since they very rarely did anything to help the story progress and seemed more interested in making the place fail. Also dumb how it seems like most of the characters forget about the whole 500,000 people thing except Seiya, Sento, and Latifah until the end. Also felt like it had throw away episodes that they shouldn't have wasted time on in a 13 episode series. The dugeon, pirates, cold, and fairy episodes could have been cut down to 2 episodes at most and not even include the cold episode. Would have like to see more of the new hires and luca security in various cameos throughout the episodes.
Overall though, it was good. Nothing great and forgettable but I felt like I didn't waste my time. Could have been much better if it was 23 episodes though and had less of the mascot trio.
>had less of the mascot trio.
But Tiramie and Macaron where awesome, especially Macaron.
The animation was good, I really don't get all the complaints. Look at the movement in episode 11. It was animated by newbies though, all the veteran animators are working on something else (KnK movie)
>in this season
Eh there's been some really good stuff, from KimiUso for example.
Indeed, Kyoani sure found a way this time.
>not liking Jaw
And no, Wanipi is the worst, everyone's agree on that.
>Less of the mascot trio
If it weren't for the mascot's personalities, this show would be painfully boring.
>even though Seiya should have made use of it the first time he saw it
Did you miss ep.8, where he's asking Sento about the stadium and the mall, or ep.11 where Toriken said that he's been collecting informations?
That pretty much implies that Kanye had been finding ways to use the stadium since early on.
Silly anon, anons here have forgotten what "fun" means.
I liked it for what it was. It's still rather bland and I feel like this is the first time where a KyoAni show didn't feel familiar. Any other studio could have done this just as "well". I didn't watch KnK but everyone seems to hate it so that might have already been the case there.
It's a good show. I wish it was longer so there could be more character-focused episodes, but I think the pace is nice.
>It's still rather bland and I feel like this is the first time where a KyoAni show didn't feel familiar.
It's really similar to Fumoffu though. If there is a show made by KyoAni that stands out, it would be TSR, in my opinion.
>tfw no more business suit Sento after this
It was fun. Kanye was a likeable character all around, and the fanservice was nice. Not something I'll remember in 2 years, but it's a good example of KyoAni's high production values being put to work on a show that doesn't bring a lot to the table.
No, And you are not allowed to touch it, smell it or hear about it. EVER!
Are you sure?
I'd actually say it was my AOTS, this season has been too hyped for me. So much that most of what I watched didn't meet that hype. With Amagi I had hardly any hype so it worked extremely well. Sad it's ending in one more episode and very excited to see what KyoAni's next plans are for anime. SAVE NEW YEARS KYOANI
It is good, maybe even great for what it was.
Many criticize it for not having more character centered plot (for the female characters that is), and not following the "correct" timeline. All characters have some sort of issue, that gets introduced more or less, yet most of them just have "normal" problems that are interesting to hear about, yet not interesting enough to focus an entire episode on. So to me that is just good directing. Characters undergo small but positive development troughout the series, and the story stays focused on getting enough customers to maintain the park operations.
All in all, a good show about dealing with everyday problems along with some romantic tension, fanservice shots and healing. Watch it if it that suits your taste, and avoid it if you want some sort of action packed fantasy adventure.
The girls were great but everyone seems to focus on those for some reason. The mascots were great fun. The storyline and execution were typical of Kyoani - they don't make the most of their scripting and spend a lot of time on exposition through dialogue. It gives them time to do a lot of scenery porn and closeups to try and imitate soft focus with live action cameras. As always, the characters seem to stand out at times on the backgrounds, but the coloring is done well enough that it's mostly hidden. It was a nice anime, and I could see how they were at a crossroads between selling it as a family friendly comedy and a standard ecchi comedy. I guess that was the author and the studio making concessions and it reached a bit of a halfway point, making some fanservice seem needless. Luckily the comedy and the lighthearted story made up for it and hid it to some extend, so it wasn't crude. More time could have been spent on the fantasy, but I guess the logistics of running a theme park are interesting enough.
I think it was a good return to form following Chunniibyou and Beyond the Boundary, both of which were disappointments for me. Kyoani are at their best when they focus on slightly older characters and cute fantasy comedy.
I doubt that will have any effect on the story though.
>Already cured Princess curse.
>Already done a big group title shout out.
>Only one mention of Sylphy
Shame on everyone
The only person in the park who figured out the Deus Tree Machina should get more love than that
