>Not Miyoshi Karin wa Honto ni Yuusha de aru
Look, I'm not going to lie, I like to see little girls suffering, but I think this is my first time having an overdose of it, it was not fun at all, instead I just feel like there is this void on my chest which won't go away.
Karin loses her sight AND hearing? Talk about getting the short straw. Might as well be dead, damn.
I also don't see how everything will end in just 1 episode. At least, not with a happy end. Maybe if Yuuna somehow absorbs everyone's powers and becomes the new Shinju that heals everyone and the outside world, but that's still a lot they'd have to explain and deal with in a single episode.
It's amazing how they make their situation seem hopeless, it makes me feel hopeless, I do trust this show won't asspull anything though, maybe a bit too much trust.
The one issue I have is that they made the character that I had the least attachment to suffer the most. So instead of making me shed a tear it's more like a fun ride. I like it but it doesn't have the same impact as sayaka's death scene for example (fucking decretum still gets me to this day).
All they did to make Karin useless and irrelevant to the plot also lessened any attachment for me.
I guess that's why I'm not interested in them getting a happy end
>I also don't see how everything will end in just 1 episode. At least, not with a happy end. Maybe if Yuuna somehow absorbs everyone's powers and becomes the new Shinju that heals everyone and the outside world, but that's still a lot they'd have to explain and deal with in a single episode.
We start with Yuuna vs Tougou.
Sonoko shows up quickly, then more fighting for the best action scenes
During the fight we get magical asspull for the solution to the current crisis
End with cultural festival skit
I got mindfucked to a point where, if they don't make it too big of a fix everything button I am okay with that.
I like the "It has happened before, it will happen again" ending that someone wrote up.
>Yuuna convinces Tougou but Tougou dies in the process and Yuuna loses her memories from OD'ing on mankai
>Fuu and Itsuki die or something
>Yuuna becomes the new Tougou for the next generation of Heroes
>Karin is kept unaware of the fate of her friends but eventually becomes the Sonoko of her generation
I think that if we were going for maximum despair, that's how I'd do it. An interminable cycle of sadness.
Today's job: organizing the wheat storehouse
text: My name is Miyoshi Karin. I am 14 years old and a second year middle-schooler.
text: My favorite foods are udon and dried sardines.
text: As an expert of the hero system
text: heavy roller~~
text: like this?
text: I'm not going to cry, dummy~~
text: I endured tough training on a daily basis to develop my talents.
text: Then, I transferred to Sanshuu middle school as a reinforcement unit.
Karin: And now here I am...
Karin: Doing something like this!?
Fuu: Keep up the effort~~!
I don't share your view and emotional disattachment from Karin but I think that's the point of the character, there is nothing to know about her. She was a tool that was trained to fight for the Shinju/Taisha.
Before she was assigned to the Yuushabu there was no Miyoshi Karin.
And in the end the one time she fights as herself and for something she wants herself she ends up like this.
>Yuuna finally convinced Tougou
>before she could do anything to assist the yuushas, Vertex attacks her and knocked her out
>Yuuna engages the vertex alone with the 2 sisters, defeating it
>Shortly afterward, Sonoko arrive and noticed that Tougou is unconscious
>Believing that the yuushas did it, she attack them in rage, removing the 2 sisters
>Sonoko vs Yuuna is the final fight all along
>in the near future, Tougou wake up and wander the wasteland alone, devoid of memories
Because more suffering, Merry Christmas, fuckers - Takahiro
She warned us.
Do you guys remember?
>fucking decretum still gets me to this day
You and me.
We are the same person.
However, we're different in that while I was still attached to Karin, she'd become so irrelevant, and so much of a joke within the fandom over the past few weeks, that I rather expected something like this happen. It's still sad of course, but it's also a little funny.
We still have the meeting of Karin with Fuu/Itsuki in front of us.
How much suffering is enough to satisfy you, Takahiro?
Pretty much this.
A month ago, I was saying "where's the suffering?" and getting excited at the thought of it.
But at this point, it's just too much. It's been hours since I've seen the episode and I'm still kind of depressed at Karin's current sitation.
Normally I'd count some bullshit happy ending as being terrible, but I desperately want it to happen now.
But we've seen enough of her to get attached. Meeting the group, her beliefs, starting to fit and getting friendly, feeling inferior after being the only one without going mankai, feeling useless when she thinks the fighting is over, indecision between loyalty and friendship.
Heck, it's more than Sayaka did, and her ending was her own decision instead of just being a stubborn idiot.
This now isn't as fun as it used to be
Has anyone ever considered the possibility that they might actually defeat the gods of Heaven?
They've been inside Shinju's barrier for 300 years, theoretically. It strikes me as odd that the Yuusha system looks like something so new. How were they surviving until now? And then you remember that the vertexes that have crossed the barrier have only managed to do so because Shinju-sama LET them, as was clearly stated once.
What if the Yuusha System is not a defense system, but an attack system that's being developed to counter against the "gods of heaven", as Taisha chose to call them? The battles we've seen so far, not counting Tougou's defection, are actually experiments, as evidenced by the fast evolution of the Hero System based on their battle data on the LN.
Yuuna being the Hero with the most potential manages to fulfill Taisha's ambition and defeat the "gods", or at least to some degree show that it is possible for mankind to counter the invaders, opening the hope for a rebound of mankind.
>As an expert of the hero system
That's what taisha told you?
That's what you believed?
In retrospect this might be the better ending for her compare to a pitch black world.
But she can take it because she is a hero, she isn't some coward or a traitorous bitch.
Karin is pretty much the only direct tie to Taisha of the main 5. Plus she got a whole episode dedicated to her along with scenes peppered throughout, depicting her change from a Taisha drone into a good girl who truly understands kindness. She means just as much to the show as Itsuki and Fuu.
I KNOW YOU'RE HERE /a/NONS!
TIME TO FESS UP
>Fuu seeing what remains of the Hero Club after this battle
Maybe it'd be better if she goes blind mid-battle and dies in Itsuki's arms.
She can still feel her friends warmth, I'm hoping that is enough for her to keep going.
Not me, but I knew you fucking pieces of shit were jinxing here.
Hope you're happy
Finally got to watch this. I have 2 question, well more like theories:
Do you think Sonoko actually killed the vertext in her fight after Sumi passed out? I mean, now we know they can be recreated so there must have been a reason they took so long to appear again.
And, do you think "forcing" mankai make the dissablities/offerings to be bigger? The last 2 times Karin Mankai'd were kind of fast and she lost 2 eyes and 2 ears rather than just one like Fuu and Togo.
I've been thinking the ending will simply be they manage to kill all the mouth things and the few rebuilt Vertexes, which means the gods lose, and Shinju reverses their sacrifices because he no longer needs them to power the hero system.
I want a bad end though.
>I was saying "where's the suffering?"
Oh, you never learn do you?
Whatever wish you make, it'll go wrong eventually.
I never called her useless, this isn't my fault!
Tougou may have done some things wrong, but I cannot disagree with her assessment that sacrificing little girls to prolong an already doomed humanity is not daijoubu at all.
>Karin was unable to hear herself should the final and most important tenant
They give up and change their mind because of the power of friendship the Yuushabu used to make all the mankai AOE attacks necessary to wipe out the thousands of mouths. These 5 were so pure and cute that they regret destroying the world.
Why do they wear the masks?
I'd send this guy. Though things can get worse, it also allows for more room to hope.
I am legit angry at this character. Seriously, I'm pretty sure I liked Tougou. But I really do hate her now. FUCK. FuckfuckfuckFUCKYOUFUCKING CUNT WHAT THEFUCKD AREYOUD OIGN
I can't even fap.
It's the Katawa dick syndrome all over again.
>Heroes can't die
>World was doomed anyway
>If Tougou hadn't done what she did, all the girls would eventually become super-cripples and get to lay there for some indeterminate amount of time, only to see the Vertex win in the end anyway.
>Sonoko sent her out knowing she would go AWOL because she had realized what was in store for everyone
DID. NOTHING. WRONG.
>Tougou did nothing wrong!!
>literally worse than Hitler!! fuck this bitch!
does this look like the face of evil?
Tougou really did nothing wrong, unless last ep there's some major plot twist proving her actions wrong.
Will this be the case? We will see that soon enough.
Just some magical girls that don’t get fucked over when they use their power, that’s all.
Samurai Flamenco wouldn’t be too shabby either.
>fixes heat death
>strikes quite beneficial deal with magical girls, which advances human civilisation
>does not mind being killed over and over when it's in the interest of greater goals
I'm sure he's a hero to the incubators.
In the short term though, she didn't even let them perform their culture festival skit before destroying the world. It's fine if she wants to destroy the world to keep them from suffering, but it would still work after their hard work for the cultural festival paid off.
I don't understand how could Wasshi let her city expand into a megalopolis.
But now that she Mankai'd, there's hope for Shinju-sama to take those breasts away.
They can't face the girls, Karin's brother for example is part of the elite in the Taisha, yet he still will have to deal with his sister becoming deaf-blind
If they do that you would have gotten 100 episodes of girs slowly becoming more and more cripple until they can't move or communicate anymore, instead of 12 episodes of girls breaking the system. If Tougou didn't do this the system would have never changed.
I wish we could somehow see Wasshi slap the shit out of Tougou
>everyone dies together, holding each others hand
That is the saddest ending I accept.
Disgusting. I can't believe there are people here who are seriously bashing Tougou, and I cried at what happened to Karin.
I want to abuse defenseless body her gently, while caressing and hugging her, because those are the only things she can still feel.
I even used to half-seriously consider her a waifu material.
>Tougou has a plan you guys, she's not crazy at all!
Fuck you assholes
they would kill the vertexes, kill the gods who sent them, kill the Shinju ,heal the girls and restore the world to normal
pagan tree gods get rekt
Oh yeah? Where did those holes in the wall appear from?
On standard pace they could have fought the vertex off with small to medium effort for who knows how long.
It's only Togo to blame that Karin had to mankai recklessly like that.
Its amazing how people supported her knowing full well what was going to happen as a result of her actions. Nothing has changed this episode, yet now they've abandoned her. It only goes to show what fickle, weak, wishy-washy people /a/nons are.
I still stand with Tougou.
Same here. Maybe end the series with some dimensional time travel thing, next season the pic related happens.
And then the same happens to Fuu or Itsuki, the petals amount to the same at the end, if anything Karin did something good so Yuuna can stop Tougou without having to deal with the Vertex first.
But suffering is good, anon. It’s just that everything should have its limits, the Heartcatchs fight for their happiness and actually win while there is no winning for the Yuushas.
The question is, will the group be able to forgive Togo? Or as a matter will Togo be able to live with herself when she finds out about Karin. So much for not wanting your friends not to get hurt Togo.
Well it's clear her emotions got the best of her, everyone can see that. However, after seeing such a massive revelation, it's not a surprise that they did. Not gonna say she's right or wrong, that just depends on your standpoint but being told your world isn't what it is and that it'll seemingly never stop being attacked, that's some shit.
But in the relatively near future she would have lost those things anyway, and more besides since the fighting has been proven to be endless.
Tougou is accepting short term pain to prevent long term suffering.
the people hating Tougo watched a different show where Tougo was smiling the whole episode instead of crying because she knows what she's doing is wrong , but also believes it's a necessary evil
But she'd still have them now. It's not okay to shoot a terminal patient who's perfectly conscious and capable of performing everyday tasks in the head. It's even less okay to gouge out his eyes and pierce his eardrums.
>made human sacrifice without being told so
>they tell her that they only have to fight 12 vertices.
oops, a lie
>they tell her those mankai effects will go away.
oops, a lie
>they reveal that her dearest friend is going to be turned into a cripple. all of her friends
>she is a proud yamato damashii. then her faith in her country gets shattered
>she wants to commit honorable suicide.
nope, can't allow that
>they reveal that the world is fake, dead and they are fighting an ever-regenerating enemy
>she learns she has lost friends before and can't even remember them
She might as well replace max as protagonist in Max Payne. Yes, what she does isn't right or justice. But her motivation is easy to empathize with.
Me as a watcher of the show, I can see this show can't get a happy ending unless someone forces a change in the status quo, which is exactly what Tougou did. Whatever happens next episode (that saves everyone) would never have happened if Tougou didn't do what she did.
>Hey Yuuna, there is something I wanted say to you.
>I've been training as a Hero for a long time.
>Fighting was my only reason for being.
>I was nothing but a tool.
>But thanks to you guys, I...
They could realistically drove the vertex off for years until the end of high school with only a few mankai before being replaced by a new generation once they are no longer pure.
I don't hate her. I understand she had good intentions and I'm ready to forgive her depending on how episode 12 plays out, but what she did was fucked up. It was simply evil, dishonest and selfish.
At some point, someone had to put their foot down and say no to little girls becoming vegetables in the name of nothing more than delaying the completely inevitable horrible death of everything.
Rest what case? The fact that they're all gonna suffer and have things worsen over time physically, mentally and emotionally?
Sure what she did might not necessarily be considered good but it's definitely not an absolute wrong either.
I just watched the episode, I couldn't protect her smile ;_;
She did nothing wrong.
If she did nothing in a month they would all look like Karin now. In a year they would all be Sonokos.
Fuck this and fuck Taisha.
Because he's still healthy? You do know that there ARE people who kill themselves as they approach old age just so they don't have to go through that, right?
Why not die happily, without suffering?
That doesn't excuse her. In the event of societal breakdown, such as following a natural disaster, most people do not go crazy and start looting and hurting people. It's only a tiny minority who lose self-control and they're harshly judged for it as a result. Being upset is not an excuse to commit mass murder. It just isn't.
I wanted suffering, but not this much. I would have preferred it if she had just died. I blame Tougou for letting those five Vertex in causing Karin to fight so hard, but I think I still want her to destroy the world. I don't want a world where nothing will ever be daijoubu.
>Better to die than live a log.
I'm sure most people would rather this be an individual decision than to have someone force that upon the entire world. The fundamental problem with Tougou's approach is that it leaves no room for values systems other than her own.
Are you stupid or something?
First and most importantly, I'm not fighting against endless monsters in which I'd have to sacrifice my bodily functions to fend off. Secondly who says I'd be suffering at old age? There are plenty of elderly that are living healthy lives even at their age.
How long until doujinshi pop up involving large groups of men raping invalid Karin?
>everyone was doomed since the begining.
This too shall pass. Sic transit gloria mundi. All we can ask ourselves now is how this show is going to ruin Christmas.
She's a mass murderer but that doesn't mean I hate her. I like her as a character. However people saying she did nothing wrong are delusional morons. She fucked up whole world because she's scared to face further disabilities.
I feel bad for posting "I want Karin to be fine" in almost every thread ;_;
The anime is called "Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero"
She will fight the vertex for all eternity, going mankai and losing something everytime for her friends.
She will become a hero.
Also, could anyone edit a santa hat on this picture?
and how would she go about disclossing the information to everyone so they could decide?
there is nothing wrong with being selfish
the people don't know or care about the girls
so why should the girls care about them at the cost of their own hapiness?
I like her and I empathize with her. But I still think she's wrong. Of course, as some anon pointed out, somebody had to break the status quo, but she should have talked with the rest of the Hero club, not went on a solo rampage.
I know right? We knew she was gonna fuck shit up, but I guess now people are just angry at her because Karin went full vegetable. I didn't like that either btw
There could've been proof if that shot from the vertex hit the tree and maybe destroyed it, but Yuuna prevented that.
Also do you expect middle school kids to act reasonably? she revolted against the system, we only know if that's any good after the deed is done, which will be the last ep.
I'm not present in every thread, but most of those I've been to were in favor of Tougou.
like I said, people are upset because of Karin and the fact Tougou shot the sisters with her mankai-airship. this alone could prevent a happy end group hug kinda thing
sadly, this will be true. await the shitstorm after the last episode, get some popcorn and enjoy the show
>suffering without an end
>end without (much) suffering
what makes you think they could've accomplished this with "only a few" mankai?
I don't think so
Togou did nothing wrong.
Fuck Taisha, fuck Shinju-sama. The world is dead. It is time to pull the plug.
No, Wasshi eventually grew to trust her teammates. And there is absolutely no chance in hell that Wasshi would do what Tougou is doing now because she wouldn't destroy the world that Gin gave everything to protect.
Just gotta have Fuck Yeah write a happy ending.
>I cried when I killed those people
>oh, you poor girl, we don't blame you
Are you serious? It's irrelevant whether she cried or smiled. We are judging her ACTIONS, not motives. We all know her motives. Why can;t you understand it?
There's no need to talk about the obvious outcome. Yuuki Yuuna will turn her mind to steel, and become a superhero.
I want a doujin of some girl who had a crush on her abducting her and then raping her tenderly, pretending to be yuuki.
With black panels and outlines of hands to "show" things from karin's perspective.
For anyone who're still not sure which Vertex is what star sign.
Also the CD for the OST, obviously.
