The epilogues for Volume 6 and 13 contain vital plot points not included in the anime. Read those first if you really want to skip past what's already been adapted.

The anime covers the basic plot, but you miss a lot of thoughts and inner monologues from the LN, and most of Touma's fights also didn't translate well into an animated medium. The Deep Blood and Angel Fall arcs were also particularly butchered in the anime.

That's what I'm questioning here (sorry if this may get annoying, I picked up a habit of constantly questioning and analyzing fantasy abilities from talking with a friend with a similar habit).
Mikoto has immunity to electricity, so there's nothing stopping her from basically turning herself into a ball of constantly running electricity as far as i can tell. In that state anytime she is touched by anybody they would be immediately zapped. It would only be for a brief moment, but i would still cause damage.

I feel like the Science side doesn't stand a chance against the Magic side. If it wasn't for Aleister's plan to stop them from using magic, Academy City would be flattened in seconds. Magic just has constantly stronger people emerging, but Science only has a few people to even stand a chance against magic (Touma, the Level 5's), and even then, it's extremely hard for them to get stronger and they're already being outclassed. Accelerator is probably the only one who even stands a chance currently against Magic's strongest.

Academy City's aces in the hole are science angels Kazakiri and Aiwass, super-bullshit-user Noukan, all of which are capable of putting up a respectable fight (or way better) against a lot of high-powered players on team magic.

Obviously, those are only quasi-scientific to begin with, but even if you ignore those, their aces in the hole are probably:

- #1 and #2, the level 5s who managed to reach a higher level of existence, with #3 waiting in the wings
- the super retard with the potential to surpass Ollerus
- a legion of Rensas which have shown the capability to white wings with the best of them
- irregular weaponry: nanodevices, bioweapons, hallucinogens, and mind control with which to even the odds (AC is able to toe-to-toe Loki)

Without that last piece of bullshit, I would say Mikoto would have a fighting chance, but Thor's power essentially makes it that: "if you can lose, you will lose," and Mikoto is definitely within that category.

It's still possible that Mikoto could abuse the environment to create herself a fighting chance the way that Touma was able to run him over with a train, but that didn't keep him down - and Mikoto probably wouldn't be able to do so either.

It is a little tricky. We know that her powers work on Touma and effects can be irreversible even when using IB, so normally it would look like this:
