I always thought that Archer design is wrong. If he wore plate carrier vest, BDUs, combat boots, and other modern gear it would make more sense. It would implies that his adversaries use modern weapons from the future or something. No idea where the hell the blades come from. No idea who the hell will still use melee weapons in the future.

I guess the author just want to make a mysterious cool guy cliche without bothering to fill in the blanks.

I think pretty much all of them. While Fate's something I probably would watch again wasting my HDD space on hoarding shitty seasonals isn't in my best interests. I'm never going to watch/talk about half the shit I'm watching right now ever again once the season is over.

What makes me chuckle though is tons of people who complain about streaming are retards, rips these days just come of online streams anyways. No one actually has hookups in japan recording the episode on a DVR for the 'true quality'. That's way to much fucking work.

I've seen the chart too, but it's clearly biased and cannot be taken seriously.

Downloading has certain merits, but as we are discussing 1080p streaming quality most of the merits are lost. Only reasonable arguments for downloading then are in case of a slow internet connection or if you want to watch the show without internet connection.

Considering the quality we can access now by streaming, I nowadays find the downloading faggotry sort of comedic form of elitism. Also people watch shit from example netflix all the time, but then streaming from unofficial site is cancer? I never got this.

Why people like Archer but hate Shirou?

Well, it's sort of true. It's in one of the dialogue trees in Fate/Extra. If you talk to him about his last act of heroism, he tells you he stopped a nuclear reactor from becoming critical. The tan is from thaumaturgy.

Funny, the culmination of Archer's character arc is him whining like a giant baby at Shirou, and Shirou telling him to shove it because he doesn't care even after absorbing all his experiences about the exact things he was whining about.
