Should I wait for PLUM's painted prototype or just order Koto's sculpt of her? Koto's sculpt is more elaborate and their ARTFX J line seems pretty good so far, but PLUM's design is not the same CCS OP costume that everyone else has been doing over and over.

PLUM's figures are okay. Not that good but not that bad either. Their final products however often do not reflect their painted prototypes most of the type. It's not as horrendous as Griffon's though.

Koto's a hit or miss in most cases. However, I'm not really familiar with their ARTFX J series. But since you mentioned that they're good, then I guess you should go for it.

It's like... you have no clue if it's going to be good or not and some of us don't buy figures based only on the character design ( I'm not buying BRS shit no matter how good Huke draws, I can just get more stein's:gate shit instead). Yup. Except I went to the San Diego showing and visited friends for the day. Sorry can't tell you if they actually had merch for sale. I really doubt it though which is why I went to the SD showing. Aniplex US doesn't seem that organized since they barely marketed the movie.

NY seems to buy older figs from other sellers to resell. Which is why they seem to have older figs "In Stock" so often. Apparently they got careless and resold a bootleg as a legit figure. Very rare, but it happened more than once. I don't think it should be an issue if you're preordering.
