Holy shit, took me a while to notice it wasn't fate/stay night. Those character designs are direct ripoffs.
The lolis were cute. Fuck you.
Dragon Crisis had a fucking great ED. Also, the sukisukisuiki scene made my heart melt. Everyone else was just godawful though.
As for an actual irredeemable pile of shit, try Aria the Scalet Ammo.
You're making me want to watch this now.
This show was such a piece of shit and represents the absolute worse cliches of light novels. It makes me quite happy that it flopped and failed. It shows me Japan isn't completely hopeless ...yet.
I don't normally recommend anime, and I have a friend who really only likes the "heady" shows like Tatami Galaxy, Uchouten Kazoku, and Kon works, so another friend and I convinced him to watch it claiming that it was probably one of the best things we'd seen in a while, but, it didn't get good until 6 episodes in. At the end, he didn't seem angry with us, just really crushed.
I dont't remember seeing people defend this autism party on its threads.
I enjoyed the fuck out of Valvrave's first season, if only for the fights and mech designs. Kinda tuned out in the 2nd though.
Also liked Gargantia a decent amount, though I definitely think it could've been much better.
I liked valrave's first cours a lot.
Though I can attribute 70% of that to watching it with /a/ and 30% to it just being retardedly funny.
The threads were shit for the second cours so most of my enjoyment was also lost.
After it finally hit everyone about how shitty it was, anyways.
Not an anime but it feels like I'm the only one to ever admit to loving the neko
This isn't the best anime ever thread pal
I've definitely seen people defend this. Then again, they also had pretty low powerlevels.
I honestly liked roughly the first half of this show. But it was definitely a steady decline throughout.
Don't. It's the shittiest anime I've seen that isn't Mars of Destruction.
It certainly is "different" but I don't know about that one.
Actually in every UBW thread I keep seeing people defending the DEEN Anime and saying it is objectively better than the UFOtable one.
I honestly have no idea if they are trolling or not.
It's a show where absolutely nothing happens. Had boring characters, no plot, an unoriginal setting, and absolutely nothing going for it except a somewhat good ending song.
Pretty much just a waste of time.
This is false. Stuff happened and all of it was grade-A retarded, from swords made of sticks being able to block metal ones for numerous hits to one of the two female "protagonists" being pants-on-head retarded and totally blowing a chance to possibly escape the villains or at least do something remotely useful other than accidentally use magic to make her breasts larger.
There is only one reason to watch this show and that's to remind yourself that no matter how shitty the anime you're watching is, Mahou Sensou exists.
It's probably one of the worst VN adaptations out there. Ignore the guy who said it's better than deen's FSN because that's just fucking wrong. The tsukihime anime apparently thinks it's nice to change random things from the VN, even small things that have slight impact on the plot. That and the characters seem like totally different people. Though the opening is ok, but that's about the only thing about it that isn't complete horseshit.
I agree that the Tsukihime anime is shit, but "better than DEEN'S FSN" isn't exactly a high bar to clear. I'd say JC Staff's Tsukihime is like 3/10 while DEEN'S F/SN is about a 2/10. That's mainly just because of the atmosphere and soundtrack.
Not really, I could still enjoy some parts of deen stay night, through the entirety of tsukihime I couldn't actually focus on anything because of how annoying it was having to catch every instance of them changing random shit for shitz and gigglez. At least deen stay night waited until the second half before the started shitting on the story, and the ending wasn't that bad.
I dunno why them changing shit is such a big point of contention for you. Both are very far from faithful adaptions anyway. Perhaps, DEEN's adaption is slightly more faithful overall, but it's still butchered pretty bad.
Well, we're basically arguing over which pile of shit smells less.
because there was literally no reason to change some of the shit they did. Hell they changed the one school girl that didn't get a route (forgot her name damnit). In the original game she was saved by Shiki while her whole team was in the shed with her. In the anime she's by herself and the reason Shiki doesn't recognize her is because somehow after opening the door for someone whose locked in a school shed for god knows how long and has been shouting, the appropriate response is to just fucking walk away like nothing happened. Even though that change doesn't affect much at all, I literally couldn't comprehend how retarded that entire situation was.
First episode had some semblance of potential.
By the end, gg's subs were the only thing keeping me watching the show.
The werewolf bigbad at the end had me in stitches every time he attempted an 'evil' laugh.
