Niva was literally thrown away like garbage.
To me it's kind of bittersweet. Mostly just for Toru and Chaika as a couple.

Toru and Chaika are pretty much fated together by the universe, so the loss of her memory isn't actually an issue. Plus Toru knew it would happen if the situation arose, so I'm sure he was mentally prepared for it (well, as much as one can be).

Also, I think it's probably better that Chaika lost her memory of the fighting, especially the part where she's actually just a tool Gaz created. She would be much happier if she was able to truly believe herself as just a normal human girl, even if she is the daughter of an evil dictator that wanted to destroy the world.

Razor as in Gillette? Casualty of war, he won't regret it in the slightest. Especially since he's one of those who places duty above personal desire. He probably takes pride in it.

Niva is a Gundo, not a person. That "I have a personality!" thing at the end was just asspull otaku-pandering. Considering the amount of power she has, it's only natural that she'd be locked away in a safe place. Wouldn't want evil Chaikas to appear again and claim her.

Honestly I just can't see how it's anything other than happiness for all.

Not a great anime and showed clearly decline after S1 but memorable and okay.
