Who is the cutest yuri couple in all of anime from this decade?
I'm glad you asked OP, allow me to present my opinion on this.
Dominura was destined to go back in time. She
was the one who started the time loop
I also feel aaeru and neviril got a different journey because they were essentially the representation of freedom and eternal purity
Yeah, that makes sense, thanks.
Lets see if anyone even recognizes these two
No problem, it's nice being able to have someone else to talk about it with.
Mouse ears hair too cute
Yeah I was thinking within the past 10 years rather than just this decade.
Won't stop me from posting simoun in these threads anyway
Code Geass: Oz the Reflection. Its a recent side-story that takes place between season 1 and R2(With a sequel that takes place alongside O2 that is currently running).
The manga's protagonist, Oldrin Zevon, is "strongly implied" to be in a relationship with the friend, Marrybell mel Britannia.
That scene was amazing and the stills in general well placed.
Not like fucking Glasslip. That was horrible.
It's kind of up in the air due to the magazine going on hiatus which could mean fucking anything but in this case is probably just cancelled. Mangaka says it'll continue somehow, but for all we know that could just mean wrapping it up.
Glad someone else enjoyed the stills. They were very powerful
there was always a ridiculous amount of emotion behind each one
Why not one of the twins or something? Nobody would miss those.
The tennis lesbians in shigofumi.
Better love story than any of the shit now.
good taste. too bad the best mangas will never get an adaption and shit like that bear one does.
this is a favourite of mine
I believe the
enemy priestess went to go look for it after shooting it down.
That series made me cry way too much. But what was really sweet was that her seiyuu got to pick the song for one of those scenes. I want to say it was that one but I can't quite remember
Double tsundere couples are so cute.
They haven't been stated, even if they do sleep together in two separate chapters. Plus, there is memory shenanigans going on in O2, and Oldrin doesn't remember knowing Marrybell, and Oldrin's twin Orpheus, the protagonist of the accompanying photo novel, is Marrybell's new knight. And Marrybell has stated she has no interest in finding Oldrin
He has a Geass that lets people see him as other people, and Marrybell has him look like Oldrin for her in private, like in pic
Its a shame no one is translating these stories, as I'd really like to get in to Oz.
Reminds me that I wanted to make a stitch of the terrorist priestess.
So here it is.
Pretty cool anon, I like it!
I hated the terrorist priestess though. I feel like a part of me blames them for the events of the entire series and how it all ended.
If we're talking cutest then this one. I found the meguca ones the most powerful though and those of you who brought up Simoun also have godtier taste.
Reverse searching leads me to symphogear. Is that accurate?
If so, how is it with the yuri? I try to avoid mech/action yuri, simoun being an exception
They're beyond mere cute though.
Yeah, it's Symphogear. If you just really don't like mecha/action then it likely is not be the show for you, because it's mostly action, definitely not Simoun. It's also just plain good, the yuri stuff is not the point because romance period is not the point, it's singing and HOT BLOODED and triumph over despair and all that.
Symphogear and Horizon are two of the most fun shows of the last few years despite/because of ample quirks particularly towards the starts, but they're not for everyone.
Second season and movie were within the decade anyway.
Them SamFlam girls were deliciously dysfunctional.
She had a thing for the cop dude, but she also made out with the other chick whenever she was all hopped on adrenaline from beating the shit out of criminals and stomping on their balls.
Everyone in SamFlam was dysfunctional as fuck. It was a hell of a fun ride, even if it stopped making sense about a third of the way in.
Kanamemo anime was 2009. And if we start talking manga the list becomes insane.
It's one-sided, so I don't know if pic related is count.
KyouSaya and HibiMiku are by far my two favorite pairings. I can't even explain why they're so great. They just complete each other so well.
Not really, though. Youko said she was going to turn down a confession because she'd always love Ayayaya more. Youko's just dense, it's not one sided.
Anime wishes it could ever be this cute.
This. This so hard. Fuck everything else.
MY FUCKIN NIGGAS.
>Kyouko and Sakura
Not even the cutest in their show.
You guys have good taste but you didn't even post the best panel.
Why does the most canon couple have to be the most boring one? Eilanya puts me to sleep unless they get some actual development.
None of these other couples are married with kids.
Perverted stalker x Stockholm Syndrome rape victim
I love the way they say each other's names
HomuMado would be better if Madoka wasn't the most flat, 1 dimensional characters ever.
They're still great, they just don't have the impact that KyouSaya has.
I think Madoka and Homu wins, followed by Haruka and Yuu.
SUNFLOWER UP IN THIS SHIT
>No one wants to be urinated on by their waifu.
>No one wants to be urinated on by their waifu.
bonus points for actually being a remotely realistic portrayal of a lesbian relationship
I thought it was a hug age gap too but when I bought the second simoun soundtrack the booklet had character bios in it and apparently Dominura was only 19.
19 on 12 isn't as bad as what I thought it was
Still, every time is a marathon for me, can see only gold.
Is sooo canon that people call it parody. HA!
I was just rereading this. Kase-san is adorable.
It's the moments when they don't have the energy to pretend they don't like each other.
This NTR trend on 4chan leave me a bitter taste.
There are never bad feeling if yuri is in the air
It was fun, Highlander>Anderson>Handsome italian man>Trash>everyone else.
I like vitriolic couples like Kyouko and Sayaka, Shirley and Trude, or Shinka and Deko, but most of those those have already been posted, so here's the series I most hope gets an anime this decade instead.
Kyouko sees Sayaka as a little sister, and she's had an imouto before so it's obviously not in a romantic way.
These two. No contest.
They get paired and it is romantic. Trust me. I'm a reliable source. Please watch it and discuss it with me ;_;
Cute, sure. But more importantly they have extremely lewd telepathic lesbian sex during matches.
>They also said Sayaka likes Kyouko romantically.
All this denial is hilarious.
This, or pic related.
The series is overwhelming at first because there are a lot of characters and terms that are introduced early but by the time you get to episode 8 or so you'll be in for good
The story is extremely character based so you won't be worrying about plot too much till the end. But I understand if you don't want to watch it. I know it's hard to get into
Also there is a manga but I haven't read it yet since it's not the source
>The point was where your fake spoilers came from also said Sayaka was romantically attracted
No it didn't. It just said she likes her now, you know as oppposed to disliking her before.
Though there are probably a few anons who can't tolerate yuri there is one specific poster who adopts multiple persona's just to shitpost ( you can tell because multiple kinds of shitposting in yuri threads all start at the same time). Ignoring him does nothing because he'll reply to himself so there's nothing we can do.
Weeaboo + westaboo = cutest couple
Prove me wrong.
These two are cute. Too bad they both became males for each other
I'm holding out hope for the yuri renaissance, where a ton of exciting originals like Symphogear and beloved adaptations like Gamma come out, so I won't have to look back and scrape the barrel for something like this. But that's not likely to happen, so maybe I will revisit it at some point.
And fuck, Hidamari Sketch was within 10 years. This is my OTP.
Madoka will never love her. >>118063498 is more canon, as at least Madoka considers Kyouko a fellow human being and not a monster like she yhinks of Homura. Homura should not be posted in yuri threads.
>scrape the barrel for something like this
Simoun is considered a Yuri classic. i wouldn't Say you're scraping the barrel
Madoka loses because she never loved Homura and never will because Homura is the worst. Madoka is fine by herself or with literally anyone else. Homura is best dead and burning in hell alone and abandoned by Madoka.
>Kyouko x Everyone
I didn't mean it that way, just in terms of ease of consumption; Simoun is old-school and sort of hard to get into, like you said.
>Fiction does not prevent them from being insulted.
Sounds like somebody forgot their meds today
Anime or movies? And what's the diference?
Any recommendations for a cute shoujo-ai/ subtle yuri manga?
I have read Girlfriends and Prism and liked them a lot. I also liked Nana, even if it's not yuri.
Death & Rebirth is just a retelling of the main NGE story. If you've the time, it's better to just go all-in with the TV series. Then End of Evangelion is, as it indicates, the actual ending to the series proper.
It's not like there's an entire board for this sort of shit that might have an answer to your question somewhere.
>Class-S isn't actually yuri
Yuri harems are best, everyone gets love
It isn't, class-S refers to fake romantic relationships between girls in school as practice for real romance with guys when they grow up. There in lies the difference. In yuri the feelings are real, while in class S it's all fake.
At first I thought you just didn't know what yuri was, but now you apparently don't even know what class S is, either.
>It's 100% true, Anonymous! I read it on wikipedia!
Although I suppose I'm giving you too much credit. I don't even think wiki would be that wrong.
In any case, stop being such a faggot, Anon. Or a troll. Whatever you're being, stop it.
I never thought "cuddly" would count as romantic development in itself.
I wish they'd just get a trip so I could filter them.
Also cutest Yuru Yuri pairing.
I remember this guy from when rebellion aired, makes me wonder if he's trying to get a reaction out of people or is genuine insane.
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by sheer autism.
>The author didn't start this with yuri in mind
The fool thought he could stand against the purest form of love.
Oh yeah, it's a lot of fun. BDSM gags, lolicon jokes without delving into the kind of distasteful shenanigans other works might get into if that's the kind of thing that might rub you the wrong way(or the right way, I don't judge), cute cast, it's all you could want.
>I actually have pics of this couple
When did I even save these.
I wish I could watch it again for the first time.
He started on /u/. Since then he decided he'll restyle himself as an /a/ user and insult /u/ constantly, but I'm hopeful he'll just slit his wrists soon because everyone on /a/ just laughs at him too.
Absolutely disgusting. Who could even want this filth?
The bitter irony is that I fucking agree with you, but you're a retard and have turned anyone who might have agreed with you against you because of your persistence in ruining threads.
You also only post in yuri threads or threads related to yuri in attempts to ruin them. It strikes me of a certain individual who was trying to start a crusade against yuri, but couldn't actually rally anyone to his side because they kept telling him to fuck off, so samefagged up one himself.
Are you guys content with the amount of Yuri you get?
I am, even one show a year is fine with me. But that's because I'm primarily a mangafag
I still don't see how anyone could want this.
I'm primarily a mangafag too but I won't be satisfied until there are tons of yuri anime. Anime with lesbian main character couples that aren't specifically yuri/romance genre, too.
>Anime with lesbian main character couples that aren't specifically yuri/romance genre, too.
This will never happen because when it does there's an element that denies the girls are actually a couple even if they do things like live together while raising an adopted daughter.
How many anime can you think of where the main character is in an established /heterosexual/ relationship?
I gotta say no. It's like every other show has some yuri subtext or it's touched on as a joke, but there's so few actual yuri romance shows with cannon couples and developing relationships. Even stuff like Aoi Hana and Sasameki Koto which are centred on outwardly gay characters are complete snoozefests because there's no genuine romance. The constant tease is killing me
There are so many really cute yuri mangas, but anime studios just don't want to touch them
Do you think it would help the anime industry if studios touched on Yuri or even yaoi, for the sake of discussion
Severe case of madness driven paranoia.
This pair can have such good art, it's not fair.
That reminds me, I discovered yuri from video games.
While the homogeneity and the sheer quantity of anime these days are a serious issue, the real problem is the basic economics of anime.
Almost all of it is aired at fuck-you-o-clock so they barely see a fraction of the advertising money primetime or even the daytime stuff airs. So this leaves anime horrifyingly dependent on adaptations of other material. Look at how much shit studios have to crank out these days compared to 10 years ago. Could you imagine if we had to measure the success of movies or TV shows by how many upmarket-priced Blu-Rays they sell?
Not to mention a serious talent drain which industry veterans like Miyazaki and Anno have commented on. Mock them all you want, they're right. And the Japanese industry's general wariness about licensing and exporting isn't exactly helping their long-term international prospects. It's one thing to just have Crunchyroll and Funimation stream shit. But anime fans are already into anime. You want to get non-fans interested.
Homo stuff has the benefit of burgeoning mainstream acceptance and to mark it as a unique outlier in stuff like television and film, and while I think it could be an interesting vanguard in a hypothetical anime renaissance, the industry needs to sort out a lot of shit before it can capitalize on lesbians.
It makes me sad that it took this long for best couple to show up.
Thanks for being the first though.
Weird music and loli stretching don't mix well.
Well if we do last 10 years, we're still in their 10th anniversary along with a few other couples of note.
That's actually a well thought out reason, thanks for that.
You're definitely right in the aspect that the anime industry needs to get their shit together. Too bad we can't use yurimagic to fix real world problems
>Homo stuff has the benefit of burgeoning mainstream acceptance
Supporting gay rights and wanting to allow same sex marriage is not the same thing as wanting cartoon lesbians doing cartoon lesbian things.
>don't get banned
Fucking rocket science. You're a genius, dude. You sure showed that mod who's boss around here.
That's besides the point. In the 80s they had to de-lesbo Cagney & Lacey. Even in the '90s when we were still coming off the HIV scare and Clinton had DADT you still had TV execs shutting down even the inkling of homoerotic subtext.
Now we got sitcoms and dramas and films about the gays, and homosexual subplots mined for all its worth in live action TV. Where years ago it was considered
straight-up anathema, it's become a viable element.
It's not your message that makes you a shitposter anon, it's the way in which you deliver that message. Giving us a play-by-play of your ongoing struggle with a member of the moderation staff is not on-topic for any board. Please try to be considerate of those who only wish to talk about yuri.
How'd he get the name watermelon? I'm sure there's a /pol/ joke somewhere that correlates to his apparent autism trigger being crack.
he didn't get the name, i'm just attributing some of the anti-/u/ sentiment to a person called watermelon-kun (he's some drawfag) because i banned him from somewhere else recently
as for the major antagonist in this thread, beats me who that really is
