Reminder that the 13th zodiac Ophiuchus will come out from behind the sun on December 18th to destroy any chance of things being daijoubu.
The more I look at these the more they really do look like the disembodied heads of snakes, with the big plus signs being like fangs.
Better prepare emergency udon, Anon.
>I'm telling you guys, it was thiiiiiis small!
>mfw 18 dec is my birthday
>Fuu can't correctly judge the size of a micropenis because of a lack of depth perception
>this face of despair is perfect
Too bad this isn't a vn where we get a Fu end kinda like Conquest end in Neptunia mk2 and Fu ends up killing anyone in her way including the shitty tsun and Taisha
Hope for multiple routes in the game
Which ones? Also this trend of helpless girls is getting annoying. I wonder how it's selling in Japan after they pulled that. I'd drop it but it's almost ending anyway
I hope you're not talking about who I think you're talking about.
Lot of losers around here upset that best girl is too good for disabilities.
What? Up until episode 8, the show's been pretty damn happy. Even now, there's still a string of optimism running through it, these girls have been anything than helpless. They are actually doing shit and trying to figure what's going on.
>government agency forces you to fight enemy at the cost of your physical body
>you cannot die even after losing important functions
>you cannot refuse to fight as watchdogs have been set to you to force you to fight and to not allow your death
It's a life of slavery. Togo tried to find the sweet release of death and even that was denied to her. If that's not helplessness then I don't know what is
You're wrong, they can make the choice to not fight.
>Imouto is stronger mentally then her onee-chan
Truly a deconstruction of the Evangelion of Madoka.
Togo implied the fairy's objective was something other than their master's will. It's implied they are there to keep the girls fighting and in line. Then again an LNfag can prove me wrong.
Right now the only way out I see is to do as FU and rekt Taisha for being sneaky fucks.
>>implying dying solves anything
>immediately mentions kamikaze
You see how ironic you sound?
In any case kamikaze pilots CHOSE to die for their countries. Here the girls can't choose shit.
>***,*22位/***,*22位 ★ (**2,361 pt) [*,*78予約] 2014/12/17 結城友奈は勇者である 1 [Blu-ray]
It peaked at 18
Too bad it caught fire too late, at the rate it is going it is only going to barely sell more than 3k by next week.
Could they be going for the 'Heads of the Hydra' sort of deal here?
On a personal level, maybe, but Madoka had more momentum after playing it's hand earlier. Not to mention a more unique art-style for the witch battles.
People didn't really know where Yuusha was going until recently, possibly to it's credit. Depending on the ending it'll either have amazing payoff or feel like they wasted a lot of time. I think it'll be hard to knock it out of the park in terms of popularity like Madoka did, but it might be a better story in the end.
One who couldn't even scream for help
Probably still has some of her blood on it
Could also be Itsuki. Only said Togo would move to their town after all and didn't mention Itsuki with Fuu.
This definitely "tops" Togo if you know what I mean.
I'll fite u m8.
Man this episode is why I prefer YuYuYu over Madoka. You can slowly see her descend into irrationality. On the other hand, in Madoka, Mami just went insane and 1shot Kyouko after finding out the truth. No build up no nothing and just shock value.
So I can protect their smiles.
No, there sort of was with Mami in the sense she did say she's not as strong as she lets on. During the time loop shit she also rejects the idea that magic girls could become witches and only when it was confirmed did she completely flip out.
It wasn't the right choice, but in retrospect you could understand why she did it. Mami was always the weakest willed one, she just puts up a good front so people would like her. The only reason she hadn't killed herself was the delusion she was helping people to make up for her not wishing for her parents sake.
Mami didn't go insane. Her thought process was actually relatively rational. Killing magical girls including herself would indeed solve the mid-term problem of those magical girls turning into witches and spreading curses. Mami realized that magical girls were the very problem that magical girls were supposed to solve, and so she decided to end things before the problem just got worse.
Fuu's rampage was completely irrational in that destroying the Taisha would've done fuck all to solve Itsuki's muteness. In fact it would potentially endanger the very world they worked so hard to save. What Fuu was trying to do would make their sacrifices meaningless. She was being completely counterproductive.
TL;DR: 300 DE = 2016 CE
The calendar in Itsuki's room is on September, starting on a Thursday, with Monday 19 and Thursday 22 marked in red.
If Monday 19 is Respect for the Aged Day and Thursday 22 is the Autumn Equinox, this places Year 300 as 2016AD.
Respect for the Aged Day was held on September 15 until 2003, when it was changed to the third Monday of September, and Septembers beginning in Thursday since then were 2005 and 2011, but the equinoxes on those years fell on the 23rd.
So possible AD years assuming the calendar's marking Respect for the Aged Day and the Autumn Equinox:
I predicted the Tales of Symphonia's seals plot twist for the mankai, even predicted which disabilities Fuu and Itsuki would get in these threads. It was some days before ep 6, if you want to search the archive, search with YAMATO DAMASHI.
>tfw no one has genderswapped the girls yet
>or crossed them over with other series
>or written English fanfics
No, seriously, where are the fanworks? I can only even find one amv on YouTube
I agree Fuu acted irrational, but it was also understandable in the circumstances. She discovered her team was being used and the people doing it didn't even have the decency to admit to it when a couple of them found out. Her family was hurt and she wanted petty revenge. Sure, all it would do is make her feel better in the short term, but she went through all the stages of trying to deny it first before getting sad, then angry about it.
Question is how they will progress from here. What they need is information. Part of that might involve using the one form of pressure they do have to make demands.
>God: Oh my loyal sheeple. I shall grant you a way to defeat a great evil that I can't be arsed to defeat myself because I'm not as great as I look I just act the part. Oh but in return you have to cut off your hand in exchange. Sound good?
What a Jew
Why would you want this?
>Part of that might involve using the one form of pressure they do have to make demands.
>We have nude pics of Shinju-sama and Taisha. If you don't want them to be spread you should listen to what we have to say
Please, no. I'd appreciate more pixiv art, but I don't want the fanbase to get huge.
There's already a significant following on tumblr.
It doesnt change anything.
They will still do it even if they know about the price of going mankai.
Of course no sane leader will actually reveal all information that might make their fighting force waver or actually hesitate to fight 100% in a do or die situation.
Taisha did nothing wrong
Try it this way
>I shall grant you a way to defend your home and loved ones from annihilation without the risk of death and although there is a price to pay at least you'll always be able to go home again and enjoy the victory you've duly paid for.
See? Doesn't it sound more reasonable that way?
And what pressure would that be? Decide not to fight? The fairies can probably somehow force them to? Attack taisha directly? They can probably just deactivate their powers. They're puny mice in a Lynx's den
The heavy hitters in the team are Fuu and Yuuna. She is the Precision/Dodge Tank of the party.
Oh come on. This is an offer that soldiers throughout history would have jumped at in a heartbeat. It's an incredible kindness. Of course you can't expect emotional teenage girls to understand things like this right away, but with time even they will come to understand how generous the gift they've been given is.
We've not seen any evidence that they could force them to fight, I could get that maybe the Taisha could turn off their powers what with their complete control over the maintenance of their devices, but not to outright enslave them.
The fairies just seem to look after them, maybe push them on or even act as proxy for the Taisha. It would be more appropriate if the Taisha used the heroes family to ensure compliance then having some plot device just control them. That way you could have some tension as Tougou tries to force some shit gets some information but then the Taisha having told her a bit about what she wants to know could indirectly threaten them back by explaining their families are at risk if they aren't prepared to protect them (and the nation).
I don't believe they can just press a button and the fairy will possess the girls or something. If so, why even leave it to fate in the first place, just have them possess them the moment the Vertex turn up. Add some amnesia while you're at it so they don't know why they are slowly getting crippled.
that feeling when Yuuna keeps jumping ahead of the others, losing parts of her body until she's this completely crippled mass of divine energy that will try and save everyone.
Seems like fairies are a new thing. All the originals took damage as they fought and regen their injuries. The new girls don't.
Same with the sealing technique, it's a new ritual from the Taisha after the first generation.
>Yuna's tongue, Itsuki's throat, Fu's left eye, Togo's left ear, and Karin's
vaginaare being covered by their own body parts
The alpha version of Hero app was shit.
The current Hero app was built on the old heroes sacrifice.
Sonoko mankai 10times, didnt kill any vertex and only drove them back. After that, the Taisha ran a nationwide hero aptitude test and upgraded the hero system.
The Taisha are good guys.
It's a good question. The price is terrible, and it's understandable that they're upset, but without the fairies they would be DEAD. It's sad that they'll have to live with their disabilities, but at least they get to live. They get to continue spending time with their friends and families (as the case may be). They can find new dreams, new happiness. Gin will never get to do those things.
Learn how to use Youtube
Anyway, people keep on comparing Madoka and Yuuna and I don't see it. If anything she's more Usagi, and even that's not accurate
I forget if I've posted this, but I thought this was a genius scene.
Not only was this the first time Fuu found out about Itsuki's audition, but it was also the first time she had heard her voice since Itsuki lost it. Additionally, it is also the first the audience got to hear her voice in 4 episodes.
The way itsuki rambled on must have been intentional. It's like backup. This whole without a single word from Itsuki, for Fuu or for the audience, and then we get this deluge, anticipating how much we missed her.
Why don't they just ask the Vertexes to leave?
>there are people out there that think the vertexes can be reason
>there are people out there that think the vertexes are good guys while the taisha are baddie
They totally wreck the bridge overseeing Sonoko and all kind of stuff everytime they invade.
I'm uncertain, I think the Shinju's barrier isn't necessary at least not any more. Maybe originally it was needed to keep the nation safe from a legitimate threat, but now it's 300 years later and the threat is gone.
The problem is how Shinju protects itself. By turning all the normal builds and people into trees and roots any damage inside the barrier translates into disaster in the real world. It's possible that if a Vertex reaches Shinju-sama and damages/destroys it, all the people transformed as destroyed. They just don't know and it seems more likely harm will come about then not because they've seen the damage in the barrier translate into real losses.
So now the problem could be more that Shinju is trying to protect itself from something that doesn't actually threaten people and it's protecting itself by turning everything into it's roots and forcing them to fight for it. Or at least something along those lines.
We need more information.
What if the Taisha is the last remnants from the apocalypse times, society has recovered outside the barrier, and the vertex are remotely piloted machines attempting to free them.
That doesn't agree with the official history taught in schools, which says that humanity was saved from the virus by all the gods coming together to become Shinju-sama and create a barrier to protect them.
Again, they're still actively trying to kill a bunch of little girls, and have actually successfully killed one before when the little girls couldn't kill them. They can't possibly be good guys.
>Dispatched by the Great Shrine, Yuna and the Hero Club set off for the sea.
>the Great Shrine
I did sort of think that Taisha was 大社 at first since that makes more sense. Wonder why it's deliberately 大赦.
Nice gods they have there treating little girls as offerings instead of old and busted slut and grandpa.
At the end of the day, they are still living by offering their precious sacrificial girls to the gods due to their past mistake.
The virus is from 300years old was definitely caused by humanity themselves.
The Vertex are more interested in reaching Shinju-sama than fighting. That's why they sent Gemini ahead while they fought to distract Shinju-sama's guardians. They've exhibited a fair amount of intelligence, they even run away when badly harmed.
Doesn't change the fact that they're willing to kill anything in their way including little girls though, and that doesn't make them the good guys. Taisha is at least trying to keep their girls alive.
It is obvious that the Taisha dudes are good guys.
The 1st generation Heroes are all from bigshot Taisha family. They only ran the hero aptitude test and started recruiting the commoner after they got rekt hard.
A slut wouldn't be able to pull off the pure and innocent look.
2 years ago, the girls couldn't kill them even if they wanted to. If there were people inside the Vetexes, they would have known that fact clearly, yet they still actively tried to kill the girls and actually killed off one before retreating. Vertexes might possess a certain level of intelligence, but not as high as human, and definitely aren't up to something good.
>The cripple's words are true.
Fuu knew already she couldn't hurt Karin anyway, her fairy would have stopped the blade if Yuuna hadn't intervened with her fairy stopping the blade. Karin didn't know though.
I think it would be pretty interesting if no one actually did do anything wrong. There's no great evil to lay all the blame on, it's just a terrible situation that everyone is trying their best with. Maybe people would find that unsatisfying though.
So, I'm sure some evafag can add to this, since yyy and eva share the same structure, but the whole, 'monsters trying to get to the base and we can only defend it' set up reminds me whole lot of sperm trying to get to an egg.
There was something in that really messy translation of chapter 8 that made it sound like they could only funnel Shinju-sama's power to a limited number of heroes at a time. I think. It was hard to read.
Madoka is great and I love it, and Homu is my waifu
But YuYuYu is better in the sense that it wrecks me on emotional level far more greatly and I care for all the characters(and not just Homura).
Unless Yuna is Taisha's spy and the strongest hero really is Itsuki.
Or Tougou. Imagine if her hero potential actually increased after the memory loss, and that's why they send her back to front lines.
I swear, it's these damn megalopolis
This. In Madoka it's difficult to get attached to more than two characters, someone liking the whole Holy Quintet equally is something I have yet to see, so various monments of sufferign/deaths are shocking at best, but not emotionally traumatizing.
Yuyuyu has had a slow built up, but it definitely made these lasts chapters really powerful.
Pretty much this: madoka drops the ball in ep3, world building uses confusing concepts with a simple idea behind it. YYY drops the ball in ep8, having much more time to introduce characters and build our affection towards them. It also uses simple concepts with complicated idea behind it(don't know about you but I still don't know what they REALLY want to say).
I'll be honest here. I'd miss Tougou's Tougous, but it wouldn't hit me particularly hard in the feels if something horrible happened to her or Karin, or even Yuuna.
Itsuki and Fuu though? I feel every bit of their pain and I have to hold back the tears.
It is telling that the majority of madoka fans are homufag.
Madoka is homucentric and in YuYuYu all 5 of them get equal screen time and focus. Even Karin got her time to shine.
Are we talking about the Jesus Christ kind of Jesus or the Jesus Yamato kind of Jesus? We already have one of the latter (pic related); I don't want any more.
>Not caring about Tougou
Is something the matter?
Madoka is an MMO where you need to compete for limited resources often with people much stronger than you.
YuYuYu is a MOBA/ASSFAGGOTS where you need to cooperate with people roughly on your level against a common enemy.
Madoka's story-telling structure doesn't really lend itself to getting the audience attached to the cast as a unit since it's more geared toward the lessons Madoka learns from each of the girls and how that shapes up to her final answer. It's like the Sword in the Stone and how Wart's lessons with the animals shapes his ruling style, but we're not expected to get attached to each of the animals.
YuYuYu gives all the girls the same starting time (except Karin) and roughly the same levels (except Karin), so the girls are more involved in each other's stories. Plus they all know each other previously (except Karin) and agree on a set of tenets (except Karin). So there's less dabbling in "I believe things should be like this, because backstory" and "but I believe this other thing, because my backstory". What the hero club is experiencing is new for all of them, so we get to see how each of them react on an even playing field.
So while Madoka was more about "what" a magical girl is, YuYuYu is more about "who" the heroes are, I guess.
Except the Ophiuchis, could we predict other asstronomical phenomena based on this data?
Let's be civil about this.
You can only choose one.
What is the Vertex are actually the good guys who want to stop the Taisha?
She is just annoying right now with her constant optimism and DAIJOBU DAIJOBU everything is gonna be DAIJOBU. Tone it down a bit and give her some actual reason for being DAIJOBU and she will be fine.
All we know is that their real objective is to get to Shinju-sama.
It doesn't seem like the Vertex consciously try to attack the juu-kai or the heroes either so we're in the dark about their motives.
But the Taisha on the other hand have lied on more than one occasion which warrants some suspicion at least.
She was born with it, literally.
In chapter 8 of the LN, it states that she has the highest hero aptitude in the entire nation and going by the show's explanation, that would mean she has the most pure soul which would explain her selflessness.
What's wrong with wanting to comfort her friends? She's not gonna just cry and let her friends try to kill themselves and each other. If she were alone, she'd probably let herself despair but her friends mean more. Not that hard to understand.
Almost as bad as Chaotic Evil.
>It doesn't seem like the Vertex consciously try to attack the juu-kai or the heroes
They have actively tried to kill the heroes for the sake of it several times. As stated in the LN chapter 1, the girls could feel their killing intention very clearly.
Well maybe that's because the girls are in their way. What if the Taisha is doing something really evil and the Vertex are a way of stopping them? In that case they would see the Heroes as conspirators and of course they would fight them. They even had a Vertex that's a runner so that they could reach the Shinju Sama as fast as possible
Guess liking the sisters most means I have the refined taste of a gentleman.
Everything is staged by Taisha, they created both Heroes and Vertexes. Their only objective is to get sacrifices from pure hearts willing to fight for their god.
I don't see the point. If the girls are preventing the world from being saved, they should be killed and if the Taisha is actually evil, then it's them who is forcing them to fight
Get out of here, Vertexes.
Little girls are not meant to be killed under any circumstances, especially when they could not kill the Vertexes like in the case of 2 years ago.
If there were people controlling Vertexes, they would be even bigger assholes than Taisha. No matter how you look at it, you're a bad guy if you kill a little girl because she punch your face to prevent you from killing her parents.
The good guys kill little girls too.
