For a second at the beginning of the chapter I thought Ichibei's power was to take the black out of everything, and I thought he'd take away Bach's mustache.
>Shunsui and Shinji never got to reveal their bankais
Daily reminder that this conversation happened. Getting caught was part of Aizen's keikaku

It's like you all just started reading Bleach.
Of course the fat monk will lose to elevate stachenazis status as the big bad before he presses on only to get defeated in an underwhelming manner in the end.
But Blackbeard is final villain of One Piece he is as far from "pretty" as you can get. But to be fair I also doubt Yhwach is final villain. He doesn't look threatening at all, he is just tired old man.
Yhwach is not even his real, and as far as anyone's concerned he has no name.
He alone has given the names to the abilities all Quincies use, he gave back his own voice, and he gave back his own power. His ultimate power needs no name.
Did this sword ever have a name. A sword that made a bow that shot an arrow that became a sword.
Also Soul Society like his own realm is an artificial construct impeding the natural progression into the actual afterlife which is either Hell or reincarnation, and even perhaps Hueco Mundo.
why are you doing this to me anon i just woke up
He only took his 'mana points', which the monk recovered using darkness.
Darkness is his sword ability. Yhwach can't take his sword ability because a) he
s already taken Yamamotos b) quincies have to be strong enough to wield certain abilities, like only Yhwach could take Ymamaot's bankai and with Monk being so strong, it's likely that no one can take his abilities.
>w-what, did I fail to steal your power with my infallible technique that sealed even yama's bankai?
>CHILL DUDE YOU INDEED STOLE MY POWER, BUT WELL FUCK YOU I'M BLACKNESS
This makes no sense, but monk is based as fuck.
Okay I'll give you sword abilities since they only take bankais, but in that case he shouldn't have been able to take anything at all.
It seems like new rules are just made up constantly
Is it really though?
Or is just one of a plethora of constructs Quincies can make.
Maybe I'm getting terms mixed up, but doesn't Zanpakuto have to fill certain criteria to be called that?
>mfw that jackass is one heartbeat away from being Commander and Chief.
WHAT IF URAHARA....
GUYS FUCKING LISTEN TO ME
WHAT IF URAHARA.... IS ACTUALLY HUMAN AND DIDN'T DIE BUT SOMEHOW HAS SHINIGAMI POWERS
That wouldnt make sense. He is definetly the son of the Soulking and run away from him, because he saw his bad ways and didnt want to take the throne after him. And thats why he could later invent this crazy stuff that Aizen in the end used. And thats properly why he was so sad when Aizen talked about his Dad. Uraharas Darkness is doubt.
You're not thinking in basic Bleach terms. Clearly Monk's power is on another level in terms of what a Quincy "can" and "cannot" take. This is basically what Aizen's "transformation" was all about- being able to operate on the same level as Ichibei.
His power is knowing and manipulating the true names of things. It's like a platonic ideal, he understands the core abstract behind the various reflections and representations of the ideal in language or symbol. It's entirely possible he's half bullshitting and his actual sword has nothing to do with it, it's just that his brush/sword can manipulate written words, but it's knowing the true names to write with the brush that give his powers their depth and reach.
I don't think "transcendent being" is actually a thing; at least not in the sense that Aizen thought he was. Now that we've seen Ywhach and Ichibei's powers it seems to me that "transcendent" is just an umbrella term to describe exponential differences in ability present in such characters.
What makes Ichigo "transcendent" is not actually about his Shinigami, Hollow, or Quincy powers; it's his drive and willingness to sacrifice his all to help others
and therein lies the heart.
So, it has been brought up several times, but people seem to demand an update more than others say "fuck no".
So? Should we work on something? If anything, Ichibei deserves a mention, I guess.
>this is literally the reason shinigami all have to wear black and aizen chose to wear white
It's kind of great isn't it? They're never really a token black guy or just one stereotype, it's just that occasionally his idea for a cool new character happens to be a black dude. It is a bit of a shame that he keeps away from black chicks. Yoruichi being black was more a play on her being a black cat than on her matching a racial image, Haribel's more a "natural ganguro" fantasy race thing than 'black', I'm pretty certain Jackie was hispanic, and Frenceska Mila-Rose gives off a distinctly Mediterranean sorta vibe (at least to me).
He also loves doing his chinese character thing with their bowl cuts and tail braids and kung fu shoes.
>Aizen not having a keikaku
Can we all still agree taht Aizen is still strongest chracter besides ichigo, he distorted time for king quincy.
Monk touched yuha, when you touch yuha he can imprint a bit of his soul in yours, then recall it back, that's the base of what and who he is.
He just probably recalled that part of his soul taking along with it the monks raw power at that moment, but not his abilities, although the tweeeest will probably come from that, as Yuha may now understand ichibei skills or some shit as he now has a part if ichibei's soul or some shit.
it's like none of you read bleach.
I've normally been one of the ones always deriding it as a stupid endeavor, but honestly so long as people are just spontaneously making them of their own accord I've got nothing against it. It's just the weird forcing of a new panel every week, even when there's nothing notable to react to that I've been particularly against, funny or not. I say go for it if people are actually interested, but I can't say I've noticed any consistent shared reactions to the past few chapters.
I don't know. We have to see if Ichigo has any new tricks beside Cross Getsuga.
Sheer power wouldn't do shit against Ichibei.
If he didn't have good character designs. I would had dropped the manga long ago right after it looked liked save the princess in the other castle again arc. Just kept getting baited to keep following just to see what happens with these characters.
That's what got my attention.
Give it UP already. The chart only works when it's just growing naturally because people actually want to create for it. Trying to force it is just so goddamn lame. It's like telling the same joke over and over
or posting the same epicmemeeven though no one's laughing anymore.
You don't have to play with letters. After dropping "Snipe" concept Kubo went with black -> white -> bleach.
I guess we have to wait for actual demand. People bring up the fact that it has not been updated in weeks, but it is true it's not enough to warrant a change comparing to some other updates.
Keikaku means Kai - Release and Kaku a short version of Kakuzu from naruto. So it means "Release Kakuzu" or better "Free Kakuzu". Speaking of Aizens Kaikaku means of Aizen plan to free Kakuzu. Did you understand?
I wonder, though. He absorbed it because it went to him automatically, against "owner's" will.
What if Ichigo started spamming Getsugas? He'd basically become Getsuga magnet.
But he did have black. Black socks too.
His power reads "Give 'Monk' control of Darkness."
Not "Give 'wielder' control of Darkness."
Thus, target of power is always Monk, and only the source of power may have changed.
>Kakuzu from NARUDO steals people's hearts to prolong his life.
>Soul king apparently stole kakuzu's heart to live longer?
This shit just leads to even more questions, this means then that the soul king isn't some immortal deity/god, he is subject to atrophy also.
I don't know who's trolling who here honestly
It was revealed in Boku no Hero Academia - another manga written by Kubo - that if the ability to use illusions on people goes hand in hand with the power to manipulated them so that they always tell the true.
Have i've been rused?
I can't tell, i honestly thought this conversation was legit all this time,
you arn't lieing to me, right anon?
And how the hell is urahara the SK's son?
It was easy to miss because of translation errors (I think only Mangapanda got it right), but there was a fatherly honorific used when Urahara talked about the Soul King while sealing Aizen.
No shit. How do you think the MC is so powerful despite using the same move over and over again? He's part Ichi.
You didn't think Getsuga Tenshou wasn't just a modified ink slash did you?
Soul King isn't necessarily evil, just perhaps a very cruel system put into place that Urahara sees as a necessary evil. Every thousand years a new sacrifice is chosen to be Soul King as he holds the realms apart, eventually he burns out and they need a new one, Ichigo will be the next for sure. Soul King upon being chosen can no longer be considered human anything, just "That thing". The last one will choose its successor, and it's already been foreshadowed heavily that Ichigo very soon won't be able to go back to Earth anymore after he becomes "something".
Kind of like FFX, choosing who becomes Sin.
Rescue Kakuzu, and then after that we're not sure at the moment, but we suspect it may involve creating peace via a deception, sort of like what happens in Naruto, One Piece, or Code Geass.
>Kubo creates a genuinely interesting batch of characters
>they are all doomed to die
I've been in and out of these threads all day and a while back someone asked something about how many shikai had "multiple names" (which was kind of a poorly worded question) but in looking over some of the shikai names, I threw together the kanji on all the big shikai/bankai/resurreccion/schrift we've seen. No Fullbring since those were all in English and kana, no kanji.
>anon makes fun of Kubo for years about his inability to draw backgrounds and pages full of white
>Kubo gives the most powerful shinigami the power of "black"
>Kubo's power is "white"
I actually do think it's over. This is already like the 6th chapter about this fight. IChibei has done nothing but job him, and now this "control all darkness" ability is just too insane for anyone to defend against besides maybe Aizen because he's immortal.
The nigga just consumed all darkness from Yhwach, the living world, hueco mundo and soul society.
So I can't tell.
Is Bach's face like cut in half? Or is he just getting ink splattered?
It kind of looks like his head is separated if you look at the edges of the white and black.
He is covered in the black which will make him forget everything he is. Yhwach may have been a shinigami before becoming a quincy since Ichibe insinuated that his sword had a name. Yamamoto insinuated the same before, telling him to draw his sword, like it was a zanpakutou.
But then Yhwach is gonna reveal his Wonderweiss equivalent and OHKO Monk.
Like fucking clockwork.
Why wouldn't a Quincy have a material sword to fight against shinigamis who carry a sword around?
Maybe it's a long lost fucking powerful artifact instead of a fucking Zanpakuto. It doesn't even make sense for him to have one since Asauchi-nigger stated that he knows EVERY asauchi and EVERY owner of a zanpakuto.
Please try to think about this within the world of Bleach instead of real life.
We are talking about a random ass sword vs Ryuujin Jakka or some other extremely powerful object.
The only way Yhwach could stuff reaitsu into his sword is if he were a shinigami.
>yfw Quincies are revealed to be a separate sect of the Shinigami who were displeased with the inefficiency of exercising hollows and just want to destroy them, and were subsequently banned from Soul Society by the Soul King after losing the (civil) war 1000 years ago
Mad? I'm gonna be overjoyed. That means the Quincy arc is over and bleach can end for good.
I'm sick of waiting new chapter to come out every single week for the past 5 years. I want to drop it. I want it to end. But somehow, i just can't stay away from bleach.
>We are talking about a random ass sword
This is your own interpretation only. You have no reason to say that it is "a random ass sword" instead of a powerful as fuck sword that the quincies made. And I don't think the lord and savior of quincies carry a shitty ass sword around, either.
>The only way Yhwach could stuff reaitsu into his sword is if he were a shinigami.
He hasn't stuffed anything in the sword and again you have no fucking idea what the sword exactly is and what it does.
Not only that but STILL we have not seen a single reference to him being a shinigami, having shinigami powers or releasing his sword.
Yama told him to use his sword for a fair fight.
Ichibei simply said that his sword lost the name.
There's no reason to think he's a shinigami/part shinigami/is carrying a zanpakuto.
>That means the Quincy arc is over and bleach can end for good.
Why would you be happy with Bleach ending?
I would be sad. I love this ride, and I want it to continue forever. Just stop being tsundere for Bleach and admit that if Bleach was a woman you would suck her girldick.
>I carry a zanpakuto
>But I can just summon a broad sword made of reishi that can job Yamamoto
You make a lot of sense, tho.
Yeah m8 you are 100% right. He's a shinigami.
Who even cares anymore? Bleach hit its peak weeks ago.
i dunno i liked "f" the fear's the best even more than the SUPER STAR.
sadly that was the only time he actually took off his dumb generic sternritter cape. Every other shot of him has maybe one limb visible at a time, or half his chest, or just his waist down. it's actually really annoying that Kubo does that a lot with some characters; they just never get a good clear full body shot.
He will return, but only to get angry.
And then he will finally do it:
"Bankai...ah, whatever. I hate all of you".
Then he will go to the mortal world and live there as a freeloader. The End.
Is it Kubo enough?
>not starting a tex-mex chain
Do you even keikaku?
She always struck me as more mediteranean than african, but maybe that's just me. Sitll she's not the only one; Kubo has mysteriously never applied toner to NaNaNa's face, and NaNaNa's as black as it gets.
i see what you're trying to say but, no well maybe i mean if he made his face and hands black or something like that then yes he would be wearing more black therefore more damage.
Aizen was cautious, he feared Yamamoto's Bankai as something that could potentially beat him. If he took it away though, there was nothing left to the man that could hurt him.
He feared a few certain other people perhaps as well, but after locking them in Heuco it didn't matter anymore. Upon actually fighting them he decided that he was just being overly cautious perhaps, but better safe than sorry.
I doubt Yamamoto would use his Bankai in FKT on account of it being in the real world. If him being in it threatened the existence of Soul Society can you imagine the collateral damage in the real world? Particularly against someone like Aizen? Aizen probably knew he was safe from that.
Yama might do it if it meant the world might be saved, either what that's notably what Aizen was cautious about regarding him which is why he took it away. It's not like the world would immediately die either, and that town they were in was just a fake without people. We saw his Bankai later, and the four forms might have matched up and beaten Aizen indeed, but he's not going to let such a thing happen. He'll create a special Arrancar ahead of time especially to seal him up so he can't use his sword at all.
that google search on "mediterranean women" was a weird mixed bag compared to the relatively straight forward and consistent results on black women...
>putting Berserk and Wan Pissu on the same level
I agree with you though, I don't mind the lack of detailed backgrounds. Naruto is probably the worst when it comes to pages that look like clusterfucks.
This page was great.
Best Squad zero member, I dont even give a shit about the rest
no kubo legitimately leaned on white backgrounds that cloudy sky toner, and just action lines for a very long time, starting during the middle of the Hueco Mundo arc. Obviously people have turned it into a joke and that's blown it out or proportion, but it's not like it isn't/was never there. It's really easy to see if you just scroll through thumbnails chapter by chapter because the heavy white balance is obvious from a glance. But again it seems to be working his way out of that in these last two volumes worth of chapters.
I hate how Kubo keeps making these mirror matches that would never work otherwise. Like Monk and Bach just happen to have the ability to give or steal powers. And Byakuya and Zommari just happened to both be fast. And Kenpachi and Nnoitra just happened to both be strong. And Harribel and Hitsugaya just happened to both control ice/water.
I want him to mix it up because they seem too obviously set up.
What are you talking about, those post Mayuri chapters were shit, and so were the zero squad fights.
This is picking up really fast and this is the only zero division guy is the only one that is charismatic as a character
Don't know if that's his bankai or super shikai but it's really fucking cool
That predates Shakespeare by a very long time.
The thought that there is power in naming things goes back to before written history. It's why it was a big goddamn deal if you weren't given a name or especially a surname when you were born 1000+ years ago. You were seen as less than a person in most cultures.
>tfw you have a shitty sounding name that means nothing and is also a girls name
After Mayuri beat Gigi, for a whole month, the chapters were rush yet nothing felt like it was progressing at all. Sternreiter Elite were so bland, and the way they kept explaining their powers, especially that lethal blood sternreighter was so frustrating to read.
The Bleach threads were so dead the only thing were just a few people shipping.
Now it's gotten a lot better, it's the Kubo coaster
the shipping idiots were what drove people away. the chapters are just as mundane now as they were then and there's just as little progress being made. the shippers just finally got bored of their inane horseshit and left us alone. that is literally the only difference.
>"transcendent" is just an umbrella term to describe exponential differences in ability present in such characters.
What they have in common and what it seemed like Aizen was trying to do was concept powers. The idea of transcendence is power for an concept, in Monk's case it's Black, in Bach's case it's quinces.
I just figured since the guy you replied to was basically agreeing with that statement.
I liked the elite stern ritter, and the RG. It was just a shame that very little actual fighting occured.
>tfw first name is boring but surname is kind of cool
>Kubo is LITERALLY spending weeks and weeks hyping this fat guy and make it look like he's destroying the quincy's sorry ass
>he will get beat in 1 chapter anyway
Why even bother
But you can say that about anyone. Mayuri's 'concept' is science, Shunsui is games, ect; what sets them apart is the dimension of power, which can be defined very broadly at this point.
Shunsui's 'concept' is games indeed. Zanpakutous are basically a manifestation of the owners soul/persona/psique/philosophy. Don't tell me the 'game' aspect of his swords don't fit him perfectly.
Same goes for Mayuri even if his sword isn't directly related to science.
>Don't know if that's his bankai or super shikai but it's really fucking cool
Has he released twice? No, this is just his Shikai, much like Shunsui's game shikai. The higher tiers all have broken shikai like this, but you'd be lucky if you ever saw their bankai before they died or the story ended.
Even Aizen never showed his bankai.
>next chapter right before Yhwach is struck down by Ichibei an explosion of blinding light washes away the monk's ink
>Next panel shows Haschwalth standing in front of Yhwach
>Forgive me your majesty but it occurs to me that I might be better suited to fight this man
>Ichibei begins to taunt the Quincy King for needing to be saved by his subordinate
>Haschwalth fires an arrow of light at Ichibei which he has trouble stopping
>there's a little box in the next panel saying Haschwalth, the Brilliance
I can't see this fight going any other way. And considering Haschwalth is whiter than the normal Quincy it would only make sense that his power is light. Not to mention wasn't he the one that opened up the way to the Royal Realm with a beam of light?
Healing hot springs + Shiny paddle/spear
True Name magic + calligraphy brush/sword
Life giving food magic (the tree cage)
Zanpakutou crafting/sword spirit communication + crazy sharp sword
magic tailor/seamstress skills and masterful slight of hand
Yhwach The A
Uryuu The A
Juugram The B
The X-axis: unstoppable piercing line gun
The Miracle: no fucking idea
The Compulsion: makes stuff do stuff like crumple and die
The Deathdealing: adjusts the lethality of things in people
Tailorfu tailors stuff with magic properties and it does it fast as fuck.
Yakuzaguy seems to be able to manipulate that special water he uses to heal people.
Nigga makes asauchis and he used a special sword that can cut thru everything (but it's not stated if it's his real zanpakuto)
Americagirl makes superfood or whatever
No one but the monk has shown his zapankuto powers so far.
>he will get beat in 1 chapter anyway
what do you even mean by this?
The fight has been several chapters already, with the two trading blows.
Do you mean that Juha will end it with a single strike? Thats fights for you
-One is some bantyo guy who sits in hot springs all day till his skin prunes just like your grandmama's.
-One is a culinary chef that puts your Ghost Mexico abuelita's cooking to shame.
-One is a black smith(pun intended) that also goes to poetry slam night at your local Hipster Java house.
-One is a seamstress that gets to manhandle you in ways that you will never be the same again.
-One is a celibate monk that is blue balling pretty hard reminding your family how the last one turned you into a filthy slut.
I wouldn't give a fuck if Bleach could go on for 500 more chapters if all of it was this awesome fat bald guy just whooping the biggest big bad guy Kubo ever cooked up.
Seriously. All this build up for Squad Zero and all this shit and half of them get punked in a single chapter. It's refreshing to see at least one of the good guys kick ass for once.
I'm not looking forward to some stupid technicality or trump card completely ruining him though.
Man if this happens the readers won't see Bach as a legitimate threat anymore.
It would be funny if he tricked everyone with his shikai to make them believe he had a bankai.
>looking at DS games to play
>notice a Bleach game
>this might be cool
>look at characters
>Only Visoreds are Shinji and Hiyori
what in the ever loving fuck. don't fucking include any of them if you're gonna only include the worst character and Shinji.
he's a bosozoku, not a yakuza, and not a bancho. Bancho are school boy delinquents in a king of the hill style heirarchy. They play on that classic japanese manly grit and spirit kind of heroism and brute force. Yakuza very from thugs to extortionists to actual organized criminals but are generally villains (albeit sometimes honorable ones). Bosozoku are bike gangs that are mostly about doing drugs and just being a general menace for the sake of disrupting the quiet of society. They're about being loud and disagreeable, also motorcycles. Realisitcally bancho(when there still were any) and bosozoku sometimes end up yakuza, but the archetypes in fiction are all distinct and separate.
>Shinji will not use bankai
>Yoruichi will never reveal her zanpakuto
>Tessai will never have a good fight again
>Super Vice-Captain will never kick anyone again
>Kira will never nauseate anyone's weapon anymore
Why continue reading?
Isn't the paint brush the released form of a sealed zanpakutou? Almost every sealed zan looks like a regular sword, with the only variance being the crossguard. So the paint brush would be his shikai and its power is the ability to cut names in half, and his bankai is the brush sword with the ability to take names and control black.
If his paintbrush weren't a shikai, then it shouldn't have any powers or abilities outside of being a regular tool but it does.
Ok I watch the anime and stopped after the Arrancar arc.
Every time I see the more recent chapters of the manga they are completely devoid of backgrounds.
Am I just seeing the wrong pages consistently or is Kubo just getting really lazy?
Urahara's isnt a cane, thats merely the sheath. Inside it is a regular sword
Honestly I think kubo stopped giving a shit about how zanpakutos work. Hell I thought the giant hands were his ability.
But I think it's a brush because kubo likes to give the strongest shinigami, like Yama, the least threatening weapons so they can unseal them and show of their bullshit.
The sealed form is always a minor variation of the initial Asauchi. The only thing that changes is the hilt and crossguard, the blade always remains. Urahara is a blade on a cane hilt, kirinji is a blade on a staff hilt, even the characters with shikais that dont even resemble a blade still have katana/blades in sealed form.
So unless ichibei is the first and only character to have a completely different and unique sealed zanpakutou, then I'm going to have to assume that his most recent ability is his bankai.
his powers were shown once and the name was never given. Whether his schrift is The Balance, The Balancer, The Balanced, The Balancingact, The Balancewheel, The Balancescale, The Beambalance, etc... has never been confirmed.
Furthermore, that doesn't resolve the point that if the brush were a sealed zan, then why does it have the ability to cut "names" in half? There has never been a sealed zan in all of bleach that had special abilities or properties, they only function as physical weapons. It's not until it's released that abilities are useable.
the monk has magic based on the names of things, he's been shown to have worked that magic via written word. It's not the brush that has any power, it's the word being written.
You can tell when kubo cares about his manga because he draws very well. These past few chapters have been amazing with amazing art. It's like Yamamoto vs yhwach. Good stuff kubo. You earned my thumbs up.
>since the shikai he showed publically was a fake
What he showed publicly was a fake Bankai, actually.
Captains are supposed to show their bankai. He too his chance (who am I lying too? This wa all part of his plan) released Kyouka Suigetsi pretending it was his bankai and there you go, everyone under control.
what the fuck are you smoking
Kirinji has a fucking paddle that can switch to a blade
Monk has a giant paintbrush that can switch to a blade
presumably the giant spoon of hikifune is also the same way
I'm pointing out that his evidence amounted to "your assumption can't be right because there's this other assumption" obviously I'm agreeing that The Brilliance wouldn't work, that's not in question. I'm saying that if he was going to refute the other guy's random prediction that he could have done it using the available facts and not just an opposed guess, be it a more grounded guess or not.
Yama's staff had the sword inside, tho. Literally a sword inside a cane.
It's not surprising that RG have special asauchis considering the guy who does asauchis is with them and everything.
No, it wasn't. He made a brief little rant about the balance of things and there was a scale. Given that his schrift is B, that makes it fairly clear what the nature of it is, but his power was at no point named.
Modern shinigami use swords because that's what they're given in the academy and that's what they focus all their spiritual power into.
Old school shinigami, like Yama and some of the RG, used swords because they cut bitches. They likely channeled their power into whatever the fuck they wanted.
So when he says he controls black, does he literally mean he controls all the ink of the manga?
Did he break the 4th wall? Does he have control of all of existence in the Bleach universe?
>Guy gets attacked
>Attacker says "It's gonna get hot in here"
>Attacked gets hurt by a heat based attack
fuck i guess his power wasn't fire guys it must be some mystical unknown element that we've never seen before. Good Job kubo you did it again
He could still attack with the cane is what im getting at. We've already seen Bath and Oppai(I think so) use there's outside of casual situations so there's no reason to assume that Monk can't use his in battle or some possible fusion of it. Or he just has a unique sword which is completely possible considering he's #1
you don't seem to understand what evidence or logic are or how they works. The fact that it has been effectively eluded to is not the same is it being proven. Obviously, as I've now stated several times, his powering being some variation on The Balance is the most obvious and most likely. That likelihood does not "prove" anything.
This argument is painfully stupid.
He acknowledged that it's balance, but there can be different NAMES for an attack that deals with balance or fire or what-have-you.
Who are you quoting? No, really. No one used that word before you.
So how's Ryuujin Jaka the most powerful zanpakutou again?
literally as hot as the sun, destroys all of soul society if used too long, can one shot anything, summon a trillion zombies, etc etc
As far as straight up combat goes I don't think we've seen anything as potent as that. Undoubtedly there are Zanpaktous with absurd abilities that may be able to beat Yamamoto in a fight but I don't think there is one that has that much inherent power behind it.
Wait a minute, if the brush already activated paint like powers that that would make it its shikai while the brush turning into a blade would mean that he is using bankai
His giant ink brush was his shikai all along
It's just destruction power. There are other ways to be powerful. Ichibe is the real leader of the shinigami. His zanpakuto can literally cancel anything and take away powers, names and identities. That is far more powerful than RJ in my opinion.
Oh, and that is his shikai. His fucking shikai. Imagine this guy's bankai. I just think we won't get to see it.
I know I'm really late to the party but
I seriously thought I clicked on a different tab for a second
We are safe to assume he was using his powers even before release.
We have a precedent, just look at Isshin, Yama... Chances are if you are powerful enough you are able to use powers even with a sealed sword.
Looks like only Aizen can fight Ichibei 1 on 1 and have any hopes of winning.
You can't take away what you can't see or comprehend.
This reinstates the fact that Kyouka Suigetsu is the most powerful zan in terms of sheer use and variety.
its pretty obvious its the soul society outside the area that was transferred to the quincy headquarters.
it's used to show that his power means ALL the darkness in the world no matter where its at.
Either way, Yama had the most raw power in the series, his opponents always had to find a way to gimp him somehow and I don't think we'll see anything as ridiculous as RJ in terms of pure destructive power
I disagree. Ichibe does not have to see what his taking. His zanpakutou will automatically take what it needs. Do you think he is seeing that salamander? He explained it himself. Every being will give him power.
Ichibe would literally cancel Aizen's ability. And KS is not more powerful than RJ. That's why Aizen created Wonderweiss. Aizen would get obliterated if he came one step closer to Yamamoto whilst using his bankai. Hot as the sun, nigga. And even when using his shikai Yamamoto was good enough to know where Aizen really was.
>I don't think we'll see anything as ridiculous as RJ in terms of pure destructive power
Final Getsuga Ichigo kept cutting down mountains without even actually touching the mountains, just by singing the sword with pure raw strength.
If that's not more destructive than RJ then I'm not sure what you consider destructive.
We may still get a chance to see their fight.
>mfw Monk erases Hogyoku, making Aizen mortal again
>he is now risking his life in an all out battle
>Aizen needs to use his bankai and level 100 hado to stand a chance
Make it happen Kubo.
>turning the entire world into ashes
That's why he didn't turn shit into asses when he released it.
If both Yama and Final-Getsuga Ichigo had a chrono to see how fucking fast the fuck up the whole SS Ichigo would win by a long fucking margin.
Is that even a boast? For all of Wonderweiss' build up he really didn't do a god damn thing. Hell, the only reason Yama's lost arm was permanent is because he was too fucking stubborn to let Orihime HAX it back on.
what is this guys deal?
did ywnach bring him for a reason?
Super Star was probably the least disappointing ritter, how many people did he fuck up again? like 4 captains or something?
The whole legend was that if he released it everything would have gone to shit because hot as hell. He released it and nothing fucking happened. It was just a damn legend. Yama was powerful, that's obvious. Of course he could have fucked up SS if he wanted too, just not as effectively nor massively nor fast as Ichigo.
Just think about the shit Ichigo could have done if he actually wanted to wreck shit up for real.
He was shaping the fucking land by swinging his blade in a lazy way.
Annual reminder Kubo likes to spill ink
That's the thing, it was happening, even without him attempting to destroy it Soul Society started to dry out, imagine if he straight up released those flames that were as hot as the sun around him, honestly, as HOT AS THE SUN, that is fucking insane
I think I liked Rukia better when she wasn't being a bossy, sarcastic twat
Oh god, did he? I honestly don't remember. So much of the Winter War arc felt like a fucking chore. I honestly tuned out for most of it. Namek, too.
Hell, the only episode I watched after they first went to filler was Nel's introduction. I followed that shit religiously during the Soul Society arc. The Bount fucking broke me.
Yeah, I just wish she had other thoughts besides ONII-SAMA and HONOR
Don't get too excited, this is Kubo we're dealing with
Ichibei's attacks require physical contact in order to actually do anything. You can't really make physical contact with bankai yama without being turned in to cinders. Ichibei's zanpakutou, just like fake bach's, would disintegrate upon touching yama.
>implying he can't probably protect himself from the heat with his own reishi or some shit
Just like how Ken can't be damaged unless the attacker is strong as dicks but with spiritual energy.
You don't understand how his bankai works.
First, the "flames" around yama weren't actually flames, just super condensed reiatsu. He was just boasting. Quincy #2 points this out when he states that real flames no longer physically look like flames when they reach that temperature.
Second, he can't "release" all those flames. The whole point of his bankai is that he takes all of the flame his shikai lets loose all over the place and focuses it on his body and blade. Letting it back out is essentially going back to shikai jakka
I'm still relatively annoyed this character's shenanigans ended so soon
That and Bazz-B never got a proper fight
>implying his reiatsu is anywhere near strong enough to do such a thing
That worked with ken vs ichigo because A: ichigo's spiritual power was at the time still very weak and his own abilities were very juvenile and B: Ken's own spiritual power was several magnitudes higher by proportion.
Yama by his own words has remained captain of the gotei 13 because there are no shinigami stronger than he is. It's extremely likely that he has the highest reiatsu pressure in all of soul society.
Reading this over makes me wonder if Ukitake, being the shady guy he is right now, has a motive related to what he said back then
