ITT: beautiful single frames. Could be from any show and movie.
I'm a sucker for shots like these
Prettiest moment in the entire series. Best thing Hana had to offer.
This whole scene was absolutely amazing.
Haven't got one.
Oh man. I have like 100 screenshots of backgrounds from NnA. People who did them are one talented bunch.
I wish PA works would use this style more.
Classic but good
sorry about quality
The brilliance with this show was the fucking colouring. The managed to breathe so much life into the environment just by having the lighting and colouring contrast in such a stark and organic way. Shading was dramatic, lights were warm beacons amongst cool shadows. It really brought made the environment feel like a character all its own, with presence in the actual scenes.
If only the actual characters had been as vibrant.
Mushishi is just scenery porn. I love it.
Shots like this were what made me like the show.
It's funny, I have the same exact frame saved.
I feel like an appreciation for the visual nonsense of techno-gadgetry, mazelike pipework and analog gauges is just something we've slowly lost appreciation of as a culture.
I think this counts as beautiful.
I can go on forever. But I am done posting.
I guess you loved Kotonoha no Niwa then.
I think it's the contrast, but I also like shots like this.
This isn't the same level as many others, but it's my default desktop background usually.
God bless Satelight
Penguindrum is eyecandy most of the time.
Stalkers are out of frame.
Damn this looks good. The last aircraft anime I watched was Stratos 4 and it just full of ass. Is cockpit better? Anything that could cater to my moving parts fetish?
I just like the vivid colors.
I'd love to help you but i'm not really into /k/ things. All I can tell you is that you will be fucking delighted by Cockpit. Quality of aircraft animation is outstanding.
Do you have more of the "beam to the sky" stuff?
>that aspect ratio
Isn't its weirdness why we love Mushishi?
I'm in it more for the clever writing, scenery porn and haunting atmosphere.
This moment right here blew my mind. The way they use visuals to play with your perception and expectations gives me chills sometimes.
This entire thing. I have a fuckhuge folder of Shinkai stills.
Back to posting The Cockpit
Do you have a screen of the very end of the episode when a new mountain guardian eats the old one and its just a shot of ginko looking at a huge serpent dragon resting on the mountain?.
It made me want a nice rainstorm
>anime from digital era
Funny story, I watched that movie last summer and got inspired to head out to the park on a nearby lake and do some photography.
Ended up getting caught out in a summer rainstorm during the trip. I have like a hundred macro shots of raindrops on the lake surface with the light grey clouds and highrise buildings reflected in the surface. It was providence.
That's fantastic. Whenever I watch or get reminded of the KnK epilogue, it makes me really want it to snow lightly.
No Iblard Time yet?
Because it's nothing but backgrounds, and is absolute wack when it comes to backgrounds.
