The way Shirou and Saber are portrayed, it's like they forgot it was UBW. They have nice chemistry unlike Rin and Shirou, whose interactions have been short and awkward.
Then again that awkwardness might be a big part of their relationship since Rin was the pretty girl at school Shirou was always admiring from afar. Or maybe ufotable just hates Rin.
Saber's intentions are completely platonic. Shirou fell for her at first sight, he's just distracted over Rin or Sakura when either of them need his help and make his attraction fade.
>Then again that awkwardness might be a big part of their relationship since Rin was the pretty girl at school Shirou was always admiring from afar.
DING FUCKING DING
Also just look at Rin and hear how she sounds. Shirou is dense as usual, but she has shown enough signs that there's something about him that clicks with her.
Shirou realy lost some points there
Please tell me they won't skip pic related
Shirou and Rin's relationship develops later than most; mostly because they have to get through that phase where they're technically opponents. It's a longer arc compared to the other girls who start off as friendly.
Shirou and Saber are also on good terms in UBW. Ufotable hasn't done anything particularly to emphasize Shirou and Saber; almost everything except for that scene in the shed last episode was in the novel.
I am aware of that, I am simply stating that I like Sunny Days.
Alternative ending with pig NTR.
Imagine if Lancer's master wasn't a retard. Gay Bulge is the most efficient NP of all, he could've spammed it until it worked. I can understand if he was trying to leave Saber alive to deal with Berserker, but he has no reason not to march up the Ryudou steps idly thrusting his lance forward and instakilling anything that gets in his range.
Exactly. The entire ending boils down to "Hey look, Saber's here!". There's nothing of particular note or interest other than her being around. It exists to make people who were sad about Saber dying, happy.
It can't be helped, they have to pander to Sabertards.
>Archer chatting up Saber and Rider while Lancer is getting his ass beat by Berserker
Gae Bolg, at least according to the myth, isn't suitable for facing multiple opponents. Once it's thrown into some one, the only way to get it out is to cut the foe's flesh away. You can't simply pull it out.
Also, you're supposed to throw it with your foot.
>Archer v Berserker in Fate route
>...Oh wait, shit. Why don't I project his axe and sword skills? That'd sort him right the fuck out. And it wouldn't even make my arm explode into swords like it would in the hypothetical scenario that my arm be stitched onto a human. Why didn't I think of this sooner? I think I'll call it Nine Lives Blade Works.
Having Saber around is not an inherently bad concept, but the execution is cheap, and the reasoning given for why she can stay around is sketchy at best. It's by far the weakest main ending in the game.
He's still technically berserk and can't use Nine Lives himself. And if Dark Berserker didn't have Godhand, NLBW killing him nine times at once wouldn't even be necessary, let alone him still being briefly alive afterwards.
As far as the game CG is concerned, yes they are.
And besides, any melee weapon should still be traceable given that defensive armaments still are.
The rin/ilya fight, sakura on the bridge, gilgamesh actually having some lines before he does whatever the fuck he does this route.
I forgot if this is the one where you can get killed in the parking lot if ya don't stand up to him
If projecting is so broken OP, why did nobody except Shirou ever master it?
>UFO has to get the Saber quota in early so the Saberfags don't riot in the streets
>That's what rinfags actually believe.
How about you reread the VN or at least see>>117310318?
Because you need a fuckload of details to make the projection be effectively "real" enough.
The human mind can't keep that much information stored and too much is lost, also when creating shit they still have to power it up so it's kind of inefficient.
What Shirou has with UBW is an external library that both provides all the details and the shape and the existing framework, cutting out all the bullshit.
>It feels so good that I want to vomit.
>Her big butt is squashed in front of me.
>A: Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.
Yeah getting killed in nine different vital zones at the same time can hardly be called a decisively fatal wound, after all.
because what he does is not projection
Every time there isn't an episode chocked full of Rin people get paranoid that they're rewriting shit or clearly going for good end.
Man sometimes I think people need to reread the novel.
No that's Reinforcement or perhaps Alteration(pretty sure it's still just Reinforcement).
Projection COULD allow to layer a sword on top of the pipe, but projection is always creating something out of nothing as an illusion.
I doubt you could do better than this fine piece of art.
Gay bulge requires a brief charge up period Assassin could use to rush him. Thrown gay bulge from the bottom of the steps may work, but that would require having a strong idea what part of the steps he'll be hiding at, which is very difficult with his class ability of presence concealment. Maybe once of his runes will help him find him?
Aside from that it's close combat or bust, and so long as Assassin has his bottleneck and steps he'll never be beaten by anything other than hax level abilities like Saber's with generous dollops of luck or Berserker's.
>mfw never ever SLH
>my body moves like a superhuman.
>my blades moves like lightning.
>Shirou laughing mad with joy while fighting Saber
>Ougon no Ou and Mighty Wind
this fucking scene
How can he bang a pretty girl and still manage to come across as a faggot?
That's pretty much why I wanted to know. Even thought UBW movie was a huge step up from Fate TV, it was still DEEN. Zero had no sexytime, so we'll finally see if UFOtable with stick with tradition and censor it with nonsensical CGI, if they'll censor it in their own ridiculous way, if they'll simply downplay, or if they'll write it out.
You underestimate my powers of self-delusion, anon.
>Rin straight up beat Saber
Truly we are in her era.
Well, considering that Sakura has beaten Rin in a poll before...
And she lost to Saber before too. So what you're saying is that Rin's popularity is ever growing?
Projection could be used like that, but not Shirou's version because he needs to make everything. Shirou has a harder time working with something that already exists. I should have made that clear, thank you for pointing it out.
Yes, along with Sakura's. Saber's going to end up being the least popular before long.
Shirou's magic is not projection. It's being called projection in-universe because that's the closest thing to it, but the thing which Shirou's magic is is not the thing that projection is. It's fundamentally different.
>YOUR MAGIC IS NOT PROJECTION, BUT PUTTING SHAPE TO YOUR MIND
MISS MAGENIUS LOLI SAYS IT RIGHT THERE. WHAT DO YOU NOT GET.
>Saber's going to end up being the least popular before long.
Nigga that is straight up delusion and you know it,
I don't mean too start shit and I'm not a huge follower of this series but from what I remember from previous makes it seems like Rin is the getting preferential treatment this time around. I'm not sure if even a Rin routes exists because I have played the VN.
Could be wrong though.
UBW is technically the rin route, but she's basically promoted from a fourth-order character (after protag, love interest, and antagonist) to a third order character (after protag and antagonist). In the other routes, the love interest is the second order character, but in thie one, it's the third.
This is UBW, so yes, Rin is getting preferential treatment. People are unnecessarily getting worried Ufotable is going to pander to Saber though because she's popular, even though that hasn't really happened.
Rin is the most prominent character in the novel outside of Shirou. It's understandable they didn't go full in on her in UBW. She'd completely outshine the rest of the girls if the route was all about her.
Do you really think that? Look at her hair in the DEEN version.
One of the two UBW endings.
Nah, is all good nigga.
It's the "Good End" of UBW where both Saber and Rin stay with Shirou.
So UBW is basically an alternate retelling of the same story?
I want to read up on this so I don't seem retarded in the threads, but I'm also enjoying not being spoiled for what comes up next in the anime.
Nah, Rin's arguably more into Saber than Shirou is in UBW.
It's the second main story of the VN. Instead of Saber, it emphasizes Shirou, Rin, and Archer. It branches off from Fate when Shirou chooses to spend a command spell to not attack Archer on the third night.
You mean where Rin gets Shirou and Saber.
It's not a retelling of the same story. It's a different progression of events in the same setting. Different things happen toward different circumstances. If you ask another stupid question I'm gonna be rude and spoil you.
Actually it's an alternate timeline. They're all canon by the way, including probably every bad ending(only "probably" because they say bad/dead end), and definitely including Sparks Liner High (because it doesn't have the bad/dead prefix on its End)
>So UBW is basically an alternate retelling of the same story?
Not really, but you could think of that way if you want. Each route (Fate, UBW and HF) is a different way the HGW could go based on certain events/deicisions Shirou makes.
If they don't do it on accident by discussing the series, they'll do it on purpose.
The best way to explain this to you is through the opening of each routes:
Unlimited Blade Works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNPesnjM2Sg
Heavens Feel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtmdnB95Uxc
The first anime by Deen is mostly Fate route with some elements thrown inside. This one is UBW and HF is going to be adapted in a theatrical version because they don't want to censor it.
I usually don't cry to VN's but when shirou tells the priest
i can't stray from the path for the people i've left behindi cried like a bitch. The actual end was sad but that one line man.
I'm prepared for my delicious pasta
Thanks I appreciate it. I'll probably play the VN with the show is done.
Pretty sure the red guy is Shirou from a different universe because of that trace power Shirou uses looks like Archers noble phantasm, and they've made hints they're like each other, like in this episode. My second is Shirou's dad or something. I'm probably wrong though. He probably related to Rin somehow.
What do you guys think about that new Emiya half-playing in the background?
I just want to hear it all.
Remember the pendant he gave back to Rin but in the other episode Shirou had it?
Ahh, alright. Have fun, UBW is a lot better compared to Fate(in my opinion) when it comes to action scenes, there are salty moments too.
VN if you want to understand everything, the ufotable adaptation is not bad, though.
Keep it up. UBW is my favorite since I like its theme the most, but HF (the third route) is by far the most exciting and action-packed in my opinion. It's a long read but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
The Throne preserves causality, though. The only way it would let someone be summoned from the future is if they had to be summoned within their own life to become a hero in the first place.
Prisma Ilya nigga
Manga for the GAR
Anime for the fanservice
I'm a Sakurafag, but come, you can't admit HF has its good moments, Kirei vs Shirou was exciting as fuck, also, Shirou versus the whole world for Sakura's sake made my dick rock hard.
Only edgyfags dislike Shirou, he's A+ bro, only surpassed by Lancer.
HF > UBW > Fate
I need doujins of Kuro asking for "projection" lessons from Shirou.
My only complaint is that Kanshou and Bakuya should have cut off her cloak rather than have been deflected with some weird metallic noise.
What did she do, use her staff or something?
What would've happened if Shirou summoned Archer instead of Saber?
It's the worst route. Only Saberfags like Fate.
>Caster is perplexed by Archer's scream.
>And to the right and left of her…
>A white and a black light are aiming for Caster.
>Caster's robe is cut off.
>It must be because Caster reacted to Archer's yell, as she manages to narrowly avoid the attacks.
It wasn't an issue in the VN though.
>I genuinely love watching secondaries.
Not that video, but...
>"wait wait wait, no... no... Is... Is Archer... Shirou from the future...?"
If you thought Fate was pretty good, UBW and HF will blow your mind.
He really does need a hug though.
Poor bastard doesn't deserve to feel as bad as he does about...well shit, being alive.
Someone he respects needs to just tell him it's alright.
Some say being made to look at this picture for over 5 seconds is an effective form of torture
Fate/Stay Night is probably the biggest thing ufotable will ever do and yet Fate/Zero had better aesthetics. They need to put more effort into it. The music is also really dull.
>Caster is a mage from the Age of Gods
>she is as high tier as mages gets, the mages of nowadays is like kindergarten children to her
>gets fucked by a Caladbolg arrow
Caster? More like Lamester!
It gets better when you remember that Archer is a magus and Caladbolg is a one line spell.
Bottom of the barrel tier magi of today > Age of the Gods magi inside their own workshop.
Too bad Sakura is a virgin in Realta Nua while Rin isn't.
>lol im not going to kill you
>lol im not going to kill you
>lol im never going to try killing you until lancer kills me
>lol im so tsundere im not going to kill you
>lol im not going to kill you
>lol im not going to kill you
>i'll make a half-assed attempt at killing you, just long enough until your servant will show up to save you and you start healing from Avalon
Is this what they call plot armor?
The OP isn't hot. They're probably saving This Illusion for the second cour.
Also they have used Emiya. an altered version of it has been used as Archer's theme for the entire show. They've even used quotes of it to hint at the connection between Shirou and him.
But he killed Shirou
Explicitly does not truly want to kill him, wants him alive, desperate for answers and family
Playing his great game of suffering, murder is too quick
Literally wants to win the swordbowl
Gimped by Shinji
Whimsical flighty fellow
Only legitimate one he should not have survived, but did because plot.
Don't expect VN music. They seem to prefer tying the music of this adaptation to FZ.
>expecting Emiya this early
Actually sometimes the new Emiya plays in the background but only a tiny part of it. It played when he was summoned and some other times too.
I think Crunchyroll is just confusing secondaries by using mage instead of magus and magic instead of magecraft.
In this episode they used True Magic for 魔法 (maho), when they should just call it Magic, and used magecraft for 魔術 (majutsu).
Just the other day some fatefags in Japan forced a magazine to apologise when they used Magic instead of Magecraft in one article.
Does shirou eventually become tall, tan and hunky or does archer only look that way cause he became a heroic spirit and all that jazz?
It's nothing to do with becoming a hero. It's a result of his magic running wild and ravaging his body.
He will always become a tall beefcake. However, the three Shirous seen in F/SN's true ends all receive proper magical training and will probably avoid the overloading that turned him tan/white haired.
>its shirou centric so you can't complain about constant plot armor
It's called good writing. If the only way your characters can survive a retarded situation is plot armor, don't write the situation in the first place.
Where did Archer' coat come from in the flashback? Does making a contract with the world come with a complementary jacket?
Fate route is sexism, explanations and bullshit romance
Heaven's feel is bull shit romance, white knight faggory and MUH SUFFERING. Kotomine and Iiya can't save that mess.
Unlimited Blade Works is the most decent one out of the three and deserves nothing but respect.
It's his magic.
But watch the episode. It just showed up on him. Was she just slightly out of angle on the camera? Was she thinking he'd be cold on that hill and just gave it to him?
Everyone says currybutt gives it to him, I'm not sure where it's referenced.
Q: When and where did Archer (Emiya Shirou) acquire his red overcoat (a holy shroud)? Or, was the shroud he used in Sakura’s route an original one?
A: When he began working as a freelance magus in his twenties, he received it from a certain curry-loving member of the clergy... now that would make a nice story, it would.
Q&A with Nasu Kinoko
(pp. 130-136 of Fate/complete material III - World material)
>cut throat battle using ancient heroes to kill the enemy magus and win the war
>all the ancient heroes are weak, nerfed or held back in some way
>no one actually wants to kill Shirou
Yes legitimate explanations
Ufotable confirmed for bros.
I think seeing a Ciel-Emiya team up would excite me more than any London Hijinks.
>people pissed about Saber surviving Tsubame Gaeshi
>not remembering the same exact thing happened in the fate route
She dodged it by rolling down the stairs, if they were on level ground she'd be boned.
No, but he is that suicidal. Doing things that will almost certainly result in his own death is as natural to Shirou as breathing.
Maybe more natural, considering he forgets to breathe a few times in HF when his brain is shorting out, but he still acts crazy suicidal.
Why did no one tell me this gets good?
>actual thematic content with the contrast between shirou and archer, and they feel like real people unlike saber in f/z who was just a scapegoat for kiritsugu's ideals
>no more cooking shit
>god tier action
Please tell me it stays this way. I'm up to the same point in the VN but Fate was so shit that I'm demotivated to continue reading.
For what purpose.
It will be boring beyond belief, I'd prefer a F/HA adaptation.
And people say Tohsaka isn't best girl
How come the autist teacher was able to put up such a good fight?
All he had were fists of steel, there's no way a regular human could've had the speed, durability and technique to keep up with a servant.
can go after that, lets adapt everything from FSN, then we can go to H/A and then tsukihime
and speaking of tsukihime, what route would be preferable for them to adapt first and subsequent followups
and lets not forget apocrypha animu as well
This week's episode was a huge snorefest with irritating plot holes
just like the VNI actually enjoyed SAO today more than Fate, which is pretty sad.
For those that were still upset over the whole Tsbame Gaeshi thing, I noticed this scene here, right after she evades, you can see the line one of the strikes cut on her breastplate, which makes it clear that she didn't actually 'evade' the ability, but rather escaped being hemmed in on 3 sides by diving into and tanking one of the slashes on her armor.
Apparently Assassin can't penetrate medieval plate.
With Caster strenghtening his fists, he has a chance but he is one trick pony against servants. With no strenghtening he gets easily killed by a low mana masterless Archer later on.
I made this shitty photoshop edit to show that Shirou and Archer have the same style of clothing exept that blue->red and white->black
Would anyone that does not suck at photoshop mind remaking this?
>mfw Archer 360 no scopes Caster
WHAT IS THAT BALL AND WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING
That's just stars shown in time-lapse.
Suddenly, I want to re-read Uzumaki.
