It's not the partitioning that's the issue, it's that I don't know the correct/best way to have it automatically back up my laptop's hard drive when I plug the external drive in. I know there's stuff like CrashPlan or Clonezilla out there, but I'm not in the mood right now to go looking for which software delivers exactly what I want. I know that I used to have a 1TB external from WD that came with some nice autobackup software, but I haven't really though of if it only works with that specific external or if it would work otherwise. Maybe my experience with the WD software is a Plato's Cave thing in which I don't know how bad it actually is. I do know that I'm not going to be paying money to for an autobackup solution.

The former being from Kyoani and the later being by Ufotable.

Despite the misunderstand, the sentiment is the same.

Kara no Kyoukai is shit.
The only slight exception is movie 5 but it's still terrible. Everything else is beyond terrible.
Good animation and music does not make for a lackluster plot and characters.

It took a little while to get it sorted out. XBMC has its quirks and once you figure them out it's not hard.

Reorganize and rename anime. Folders should be Media->Anime->Lain and files should be Lain ep01 or for multiple season s1ep01. Programs can help you do this.

Next is using "scrapers" that will get all the art and metadata. I use the AniDB for almost all my anime except for anime that has multiple seasons, then I use the TVDB.

Last is choose a skin (I am using Aeon Nox skin 4.0.9) and tweak the fuck out of it till you are happy.

As far as metadata it took a while to figure out the quirks of XBMC and the scrapers. Could you give me an example of an obscure show?
