School Shock (also known as B.E.E.), an upcoming Chinese animated series, is getting a Japanese dub featuring Kana Hanazawa.
Here's the chinese trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tKfdbFG4y8
Is this anime?
The first scene was very obvious with characters just sliding across the screen. It looks like there's going to be a lot of stills, pans, and sliding characters in slowmo scenes. It doesn't look good at all.
>stills, pans, and sliding
>It doesn't look good at all.
Looking at it again, I think it's less of a budget issue and more of an inexperience issue. Even the most low budget piece of shit anime from Japan can have watchable action on screen. See: DEEN's F/SN
They had a little bit of animation with that scientist looking guy, but then when the big mech appears behind him everything just stops and things begin to slide again.
Yeah, they likely just don't know a way to do it better.
It sounds good when it's spoken by manly men doing manly things (Three Kingdoms TV series, for example), but when it's by teenagers or females it so fucking grating.
I'm starting to think CN and JP are actually good buddies and everything we know all this time is a ruse
So when are they going to animate ching chong boats?
Very slick char designs and coloring.
It's been so long since I actually watched a Chinese cartoon that understanding the words feels really weird. The voice-acting when he screams DO NOT WANT was awful though.
>Now 100% Chinese
It's over; Nippon is no longer banzai.
So it begins.
inb4 chinese/korean cartoons dominate the market in the far future
This. Character design is pretty good and looks japanese enough, but animation itself is very amateur. Bad lighting, unnecessary effects, weak camerawork and yes, sliding, panning, stills everywhere. They're just inexperienced in this field, I guess.
>oh, china will overtake japan in animation! it will be original and deep and moving!
>hey, look at our chinese version of Under the Dog, except worse and with absolute authority granted to the party censorship commitee with no room for original thought... i hate china, why am i working on this project?
the quality of the scanlations was REALLY shit for a long time, first being some groups that released like 5 pages at a time in "sub chapters", not to mention translating by jumping through like 4 different languages so it was nearly incomprehensible. While it's not a bad manga I just don't think It ever stuck out enough from any other paramilitary/mecha manga to get a pickup.
Japan is a proud race of descendants from space alien or some shit, folded into perfection over 5000 years of history while china is a shitty newfag communist state, what kind of visual quality do you expect from them?
Oh yeah, and the manga also has a ridiculously large amount of propaganda. The entire plot basically consists of the supremely noble and honorable chinese military complex fighting off the evils of the foreign government who attempt to invade, trick, and subvert the glorious soldiers at every turn. The president of the united states, in-universe, is "president obongo" and he has an afro and eats watermelon.
>chinese comiket when and chinese h-doujins when?
For more than a decade now?
