Even though it's been awhile since this series ended, it's still my all-time favorite romance manga. It's just satisfying.

Holy shit that use of logic and reasoning with respect to how ghosts work to save his waifu was 10/10 "I never fucking see this level of common sense in manga or anime" thinking. Best thing I've ever seen a kid do.

I don't want to sound autistic, but, come on, we all know why we read stuff like this. So I think it's valid to complain about the little stuff the anime changes, like pic related. What's the point of adapting an ecchi manga if you're going to take out the subtlety erotic things, like Yuuko wrapping her legs around her shota? Also, the anime holds off stuff like the kissu so they can bait it over your head until the ending.

The anime also messes with the storyline for the worst. Most people disliked how the anime ended, but thought the manga ending was fine.

The art is still great, but I don't think any of us wanted a harem. And it made sense for Teiichi and Yuuko to not have sex, because the kid's like 12. But it doesn't make sense for a 17-year-old to refuse sex to his legally married waifu who's begging him to take her.

Listen man, if it turns out alright I'll marathon the whole thing. But until then I'm not really interested in it. If there's a chapter where he completely destroys the harem idea and forms some super sentai team with his bros I'll pick it right back up. The problem is I wanted something as good as Tasogare, and I absolutely loved that series start to finish. Even if this gets better, it's still nothing compared to his big hit.

The harem thing is a huge blow, but another problem is that the storyline isn't really conducive towards an ecchi romcom. I mean, on paper, a plot that involves marrying a bunch of girls and getting their magical wedding rings sounds like a great plot for a romance. But realistically, you have to

-set up a fantasy world
-create rules about how the magic works
-introduce politics and geography
-have battles and a final boss

The climax of the manga will necessarily have to involve the MC fighting the Demon Lord, which really doesn't have a lot to do with romance. Meanwhile, consider Dusk Maiden's plot:

-main girl has amnesia and is dead
-school has mysteries that revolve around her
-solving the mysteries gives clues to main girl's past
-every mystery solved is the MC getting closer to her and learning more about her

The climax of it all was that getting her memory back would cause her to disappear, which is a perfect conflict for a romance series.

Can I be honest? I hated Maybe's porn.

It was alright for the penis in my pants, but not for the penis in my heart. A couple exceptions aside, he rushes into sexual situations with little to no build up and rarely makes you like the characters. For instance, the teacher and student one could have been great, but instead of a good set up, we get one character falling asleep and waking up to the other character masturbating.

His art is great, his eerie tone was amazing Tasogare and doing a world based in reality with a small supernatural twist, he was able to tell a great story in an enchanting world. I think with all this high fantasy stuff he bit off more than he can chew.

If there was anything I would have liked to have seen more of in the series, it would have been more Detective Conan moments from Teiichi and maybe a stronger voice for him. He definitely had a personalty and a character arc, but it was subtle.
