I found the Crows Zero series not too bad either but I haven't paid much attention to Crows as a manga in particular.

Kenshin movie is fantastic

Both Sakuran and Ichi the Killer were really well done adaptations. One film I was somewhat let down by though was Sion Sono's Himizu. It was pretty much entirely yelling, which I guess is normal for a Sono film.

I thoroughly enjoyed the golgo 13 movie. Its old as hell, I think it was from the 70's?

I cant stomach most nip movies due to the awful directing, not to mention the acting, but I wasn't put off by this one like I usually am.
