This week on Bleach:
kills of a Royal Guard without showing their BankaiI'm gonna fucking drop it. I-I swear
>See you next week.
Why? The chapter for this week hasn't been released yet and I don't see another Bleach Thread in the catalog.
>Bankais aren't as interesting as shikais
I disagree. also since they are the shinigami's most powerfull weapon it would be a fuck you to the readers if they weren't used in major battles. Oh wait.
Didn't you hear? Kishimoto is doing a spinoff series with Naruto's grandson as the MC. The first chapter is allready out.
if you don't like change, start buying it legally
you'll get it every monday, without it being late because the release date wont depend on what days a guy can steal it before it goes to print
I have some of the tankobons but the release is about a year behind in my country and WSJ doesn't ger released here at all which is a shame.
I won't pay for online releases if that's what you're getting at because that would be retarded.
I guess we have to be gratefull that we can still read manga online after all and shekellords haven't found out about chinese comics yet
Why are scans for weakly releases always blurry and shitty qualita while most monthly releases look fine.
Do they put less effort into weekly or use different scaners or some shit?
I don't understand.
>Shunsui also uses the word “Kureru” a lot when speaking about things that have been done, and this is also something that is extremely difficult to convey in English. There are various kinds of grammatical specificities such as “Kureru” that modify the nuance of a sentence/statement in Japanese, but for the time being I will focus on “Kureru”.
>The grammar point "Kureru" is used in spoken Japanese a lot and mostly in the context of when someone has done something nice / a favour for you and you are trying to express gratefulness without having to outright state that you are extremely grateful.
>For example, just so you can understand the nuance:
>"Nanao-chan did all my leftover paperwork (Insert Kureru here) today".
>This would express mainly the fact that Nanao-chan did indeed do the leftover paperwork, but it also shows that you are grateful for it.
>Shunsui is stating that the Quincies shattered all of Seireitei -insert Kureru here-. This is perhaps more sarcasm, or just showing that Shunsui can make light of almost anything and take everything in stride – this nuance is very hard to convery – but it is important in conveying the intricacies of a character via their dialogue.
that's not how that works at ALL
he creates the asauchis
he invented the process of making asauchis into zanpakutos
as such, he is connected to all zanpakutos
But he has no power over their form or function.
His bankai is definitely related to the 5, but to say he can use other people's bankais is lunacy.
Why wouldn't he immediately be using them and wiping everyone out?
Why wouldn't he use Unohana's bankai, as we know Kirinji can heal faster than her.
Because he doesn't want all his harem hunnies to get rapesorbed by YHVH, obviously.
Osho uses his fists and Yhwach replies in kind. Osho compliments Yhwach's prowess which the later mentions is something from the creator himself.
Cut to flashback of young Yamamoto and Oetsu sparing with swords. Oetsu wins and proclaims his invention is magnificent. Yamamoto clobbers him with his fist and the two bicker about Hakuda vs the new Zanjutsu. Both are subdued via bakudo by Sensei Osho. He tells them both have merit as do all the styles of shinigami battle he created. Both reply they want to be like him though they likely won't be as good in at least one area. . . .
Flashback ends as we see Osho fire several 90s kido without incantation, though he makes it clear they are at full power. Chapter ends with the Elites & Royals looking on as the battle it out. Then Yhwach emerges with Zanka No Tachi activated.
he reforged his power. technically fullbring residue is only their, doesn't have his fullbring powers actually there. add how he got his shinigami powers back, means he's ripe to become just like ywach with his own allies power.
You know how people used to joke that Ichigo would turn out to be half-quincy too?
His inner hollow was actually Zangetsu, and "Zangetsu" was actually his quincy powers trying to stop him from becoming a real shinigami.
The bigger sword is his inner hollow, the smaller one is old man Zangetsu.
>Why wouldn't he immediately be using them and wiping everyone out?
uh, I dunno.
why wouldn't the Royal Guards be using their bankais and wipe everyone out?
people in Bleach are stupid, remember?
GEE GUYS, LET'S ALL USE OUR BANKAI ON THESE QUINCY SCRUBS! NOTHING COULD GO WRONG!
Well I have some of the german tankobons and can at least confirm that the missing eyepatch was not a fuck up that was fixed later.
Unless none of his editors or other people related to the production realized.
Pretty much. HM arc was the worst in that regard.
Is this your first read-through? If so, where are you currently? It would be interesting to see your reactions to various developments.
You're a man of exquisite taste anon. But the Hueco Mundo arc doesn't treat her well.
Oh snap, that's one of the volumes with Cirucci and based Dordoni.
If you have to post Rukia, at least post her with the best girl.
I loved orihime as a character very early on when she was a funny ditzy girl, but when she started to get really angsty and jealous of rukia I stopped liking her quite as much. She's okay though.
how rude, I never said I hated orihime
Shit, I forgot all about that bitch. Why did you have to remind me?
>Who do you think is the best girl?
no, please don't this thread is going so nicely. Look into your heart /a/non.
God fucking damn it, fucking shipers ruin everything.
Fuck shipping, the girls are all that matter.
So it's been about an hour now, new guy. Not sure how fast you read, but you must be on about vol. 32 or 33 by now, right?
>implying my post about the volume was shipping
It actually does. We spent multiple threads "KUBO"ing on the day of the reveal at the foreshadowing we found in previous chapters. I'd post the image that lays it all out, but it's on my external HD, which is elsewhere.
Not always. If you're a fan of trainwrecks, shippers are great.
Just ask the Naruto threads.
yes. It's horribly convoluted but it checks out.
Where in my post did I ever mention shipping? If I was bringing up shipping, I would have posted some shit like this
>having shipping shit on your computer
It pretty much does. The day the reveal came out /a/ compiled an image of all the foreshadowing, like old man Zangetsu using Shatten Beriech to get Ichigo into his inner world, or using blut to close the bleeding. The following chapter the manga pointed out the exact same things. Word to word.
It was pretty hot.
Hey, it's guaranteed replies, don't knock it till you try it
I think the funniest part is that Kubo probably does all this completely unconsciously. I don't think he actually puts that much thought into it. He just wings it right. Like, really fucking right. And he writes backwards all the time. Like it's pretty sure he came up with all that shit about what Zangetsu did back then the same way /a/ did. It just all makes sense. The manga is written in a way that it's incredibly easy to retcon without breaking the lore or the plot. Everything's so vague and so up to interpretation that if Rukia would turn out to be Aizen's parther all along there would be three images the next day explaining how much sense it makes, and it would.
>I really want to know Ulquiorra's real power though.
Oh. Well it looks like I posted a few seconds too early. Anyway, I suppose that's a good idea. Wouldn't want to rush through it all and then be stuck waiting for weekly chapters like we are.
I can't wait until Kubo reveals Ichigo to also be part Namekian because Shiro visited Namek that one time. Bleach and Naruto went to shit when the MC got too many plot power ups.
Loose writing makes this very possible. I'm of the opinion that Old Man Zangetsu was always intended to "not be a real sword spirit" just because of how often Ichigo broke the damn rules.
Seriously, in Heuco Mundo Ichigo must have broken every established rule we had for Bankai. They break when the user is near death or dead, expect for Ichigo who keeps his sword in Bankai even when he was killed (twice). Bankai are large and unwieldy taking years of practice to use well, except for Ichigo who has a small one that EVERY SO SUSPICIOUSLY has 7 links of broken chain on the end and looks like a basic sword, and he figured out how to use it in less than a day. Bankai must be called to release your sword, except for Ichigo who caused his Bankai to release without its command on at least 2 occasions in Hueco Mundo.
I would have just written it off as laziness and poor writing expect there were other characters with Bankai who were still following these rules to the letter. It was only Ichigo who bent all of these rules, and many of the characters who were "in the know" kept mentioning it.
So while I don't buy that Kubo planned it to be a Quincy king from the beginning, it seems pretty plasuible to me that it was always planned not be his real sword spirit, while Whitey was.
Ichigo didn't get "too many powerups" until this arc. The Arc people said was the worst (Hueco Mundo) was the one arc where he DIDN'T get any new powerups.
Also, giving your MC too many powers is still better than not giving your MC any reason why they're better than everyone else but they win anyway because Nakama! That shit is even lazier.
>plot power ups
No, reread the image. It's the power Ichigo has always had but never knew how to use, because in all honestly it's beyond what anyone can teach him. This has been consistent since before Soul Society with the analogy of a leaking faucet, and Ichigo has been gradually learning to control the flow. So far only Aizen has known what it's like to be on the level of Ichigo at full power. I don't really see the comparison to Naruto bu then again you didn't really attempt to make one.
>The Arc people said was the worst (Hueco Mundo) was the one arc where he DIDN'T get any new powerups.
So when Deicizen said that Ichigo had briefly become a Transcendental, but had lost that power, this is what he was referring to, right?
I just want Ichigo to get some new fucking moves.
>The Arc people said was the worst (Hueco Mundo) was the one arc where he DIDN'T get any new powerups.
Not that true. He was getting gradual powerfuls. More mask time. First it was just a few seconds. He learned to repair it too while was still on. Then the whole horned monster thing and the mask pattern change after that.
>his new super move is two getsugas at once
You're really trying my patience Kubo. If you keep this up I'm going to totally keep reading every week - but in a mad way.
They have bankai? my friend here swears they dont because they were there before even before zanpakutos appeared. They invented the fucking thing, they should be superior beeings, with 100% power right from the start without zanpakuto releases.
the fight continues up to where Yhwach loses control and uryu takes over the fight. Meanwhile aizen is visited by a familiar face gin
ichigo finally arrives in the royal palce and behind him is the 5 ambulances he called in the flashback at the beginning of the series
H-How about now?
I tried my best using Paint-sama ;-;
>caring about powers
I couldn't give two shits about powers: I find character personalities, motivations, development, actions, etc. way more interesting and relevant to the story.
btw, look at the size of these titties!
I wonder how many Karakura kids have fapped to Orihime. I wonder if Ichigo, Chad, and Uryu have.
To be fair, this new power out of his ass is one of the best power ups in Bleach, despite this being a horrible arc again.
It pretty much deals with him coming to terms with both his inner hallow and "Zangetsu."
So, a fully powered Nurutu vs a fully powered Ichigo.
Who would win?
Forget Naruto. What about Uchiha Madara? And I'm referring to Rinne Tensei Madara Uchiha with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikidou paths ability) equipped with his Gunbai and control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, a complete Susano'o, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in his chest so he can perform Mokuton kekkei genkai and yin-yang release ninjutsu as well as being extremely skilled in taijutsu and bukijutsu.
I dont know much about Naruto except for the segments I cared about, but it seems Madara can reflect most attacks, Pain could toss invisible force nukes, and Obito became god.
Well, Ywach could rip any of them apart. Other than that, Urahara and Yoruichi with prep time. Aizen even without prep time, but he's gonna pretend that he had prep time just to sound cool. Tessai can stop time. And all of these people are ghosts.
If we want to be fair, let's match up the Naruto chartacters with some of the Fullbringers instead. Those are real humans. Visible folk.
Let's say, the entire Naruto universe versus Facebook. Three chapters later they are all best friends and the war is over because everyone respects Facebook so much that they are willing to put down their differences and live in peace.
>Porky still posts here?
No she does not.
At least, not to the best of anyone's knowledge.
These days a few extremely disgruntled Rukianons call anyone porky that's not attacking Orihime whenever she gets brought up.
I like how people seem to think that the gigantic, hit you over the head with it, yin-yang imagery of Ichigo and Rukia means shipping.
With all the metaphors Kubo uses in bleach, you'd think people would get this.
i know, i know
but didn't ichigo do that with just a swing of his sword? and in his hollow form he could spam nukes without care or worry about tiring out.
P;us his hax quincy powers will let him recycle the energy anyway
"I wonder if I can keep up with the speed of the world without you."
"That's right, nothing else can change my world."
gee anon, I don't know about you, but those seem pretty shippy to me
Could also be kubo baiting fujoshits
so fun fact worth noting now that raws from last week have made it around is that yhwach did not give himself The Voice as a schrift but as a different arbitrary ability
I don't see how that's shipping
Having someone be a life changing character is a common trope in dragon ball
See : Bulma and Goku in Dragon Ball
Botan and Yusuke in YYH
There are plenty more examples.
Usually if the author is going to actually have the one who changed their world be a romantic lead... he makes them a romantic lead.
Kubo has, quite painfully, removed Rukia from any significant action for hundreds of chapters at a time.
there's no positive-negative balance involved, they aren't opposites, they aren't specifically or explicitly complementary to one another, they aren't mutually interdependent, they don't have a cyclical relationship of creation/reinforcement, and there is no synergy in their relationship. There's literally nothing specifically yin yang-like about them. It's just a simple black/white color motif.
nyaa and harukayumenoato ought to have the full issues up. though if all you want out of them is bleach it might be quicker for me to post it page by page.
Rukia is life-changing for Ichigo emotionally, though.
Rukia might not be much involved in the current plot, but that's due to Kubo's incompetence. Ishida is CENTRAL to the current plot, and he hasn't done a single important thing for the entire arc!
This is kubo, he removes the main protagonist for more than a dozen chapters at a time. The quincy arc seems to be more about change in general of the way things work.
Before that Rukia was given a significant amount of attention
Get your shipping bullshit out of here Rukiafag. You're every bit as bad as Porky.
If you didn't drop it during Rescue Arc #3 then you are not going to drop it ever. Face it, you are way too committed to this thing to leave it, you've spent so much time reading it that you will feel it is all wasted if you don't stick til the conclusion.
Meanwhile, I got out of this during Orihime rescue. I plan to skip the obvious filler arcs (arracanar, whatever was after that, etc) and just get to the last arc and see if the guy actually concludes the story.
That's not negative and positive in a "good and bad" sense, it's the absense of versus an abundance of, like positive and negative on a number line
Yin is female, the moon, shaded (as in, hidden, hard to see the truth of), and the netherworld
All very Rukia esque
Yang is active, male, the sun, belonging to the world of the living, and open (in terms of personality, this is a honest, up front personality)
all very ichigo traits
oh I should point out these are my level-adjusted copies of the chapter. The raw files out there would be the straight scans in grayscale.
>they aren't mutually interdependent
don't know about Rukia but Ichigo certainly is physically. He has the poems admitting it and needed to be smacked out of depression twice by her
Rukia is always praising ichigo when we see her inner thoughts and has the highest opinion of him from everyone in soul society. When she was about to be executed, anytime she was around him her will to live came back
except those are both meaninglessly vague attributions that apply equally to an number of characters and you've got the black and white mixed up.
yin and yang work in balance, one side being more or less dependent on the other doesn't work
I think part of the issue is that the first two arcs were really about Ichigo and Rukia being the Yin and Yang, whereas the next two arcs were more about Ichigo representing balance as a whole.
As the story goes on, Ichigo doesn't need Rukia at all anymore.
So adding to that, Rukia spent the two year time-skip in the novel getting the necessary approval to bring ichigo back into her life with his powers back. That's got to show some interdependancy
>except those are both meaninglessly vague attributions that apply equally to an number of characters and you've got the black and white mixed up.
I never said anything about black and white
And those INDIVIDUAL traits apply to a number of characters, but the entirety of the list really only applies to Ichigo and Rukia
The sun and the moon, as we so often here.
(also, Isshin and Masaki are sun and moon as well, with Isshin being the moon and Masaki being the sun)
Kubo likes his yin-yang dynamics in bleach
Quincies and Shinigami in general also fit the dynamic.
the issue was that Ichigo's the one who relies on her almost exclusively and continuously. Ichigo attempted to rescue her once, and technically failed because Aizen got to her and took what he needed anyway. Rukia going out of her way to help Ichigo yet again doesn't resolve that problem.
yin is female, moon, the dead and BLACKl and obviously yang is thus male, sun, life and WHITE. Your attributing its features were on the basis of color to start with and the features and colors don't match.
As a bearded man, I can tell you, there is hope.
My beard when I was a young man (20) was quite thin and weak compared to the rather robust beard grow now, more than a decade later
Your beard dynamic (mostly fullness, but sometimes shape) changes as you approach 40, sometimes even continues until 50
>different novel anon
One was Spirits are Forever With you Vol 1, and one was Spirits are Forever With You Vol 2, both written by the same author, and both addressing the same time period.
and finally the last page from last week's
sounds like a borrowed time deal. maybe Ukitake will reveal that other than general constitution his sickness was holding him back in other ways and he'll be totally OP just long enough to threaten yhwach before his time runs out and he just get brushed aside as yet more fodder.
that could be interesting
if he basically did something that would mean he'll succumb completely to the illness, in order to let him go full on for one fight.
>shunsui/ukitake bankai both against Juha
>have him on the ropes
>time runs out
>ukitake hacks up a lung
>shunsui gets struck down
>they die together
>mayuri is now in charge
>I've never understood the appeal to Orihime
She's the nice girl
She doesn't want anyone hurt
She just wants to make people happy
that sort of sweet, wholesome attitude is uncommon for many of us
Ichigo's entire non-Soul Reaper life is just him getting bossed around by women. Between Tatsuki at school, Ikumi at work and Karin at home, he's basically got to go to SS just to escape.
Unless that's his kind of woman, then I wouldn't be surprised
Did I say SS? Silly me, I meant to say Hueco Mundo. Of course I didn't forget about Rukia, why that would be silly of me and it would be rude of you to not-imply it.
Though if I were to have forgotten Rukia for some reason then that just proves my point more. His whole life is just women who boss him around and get on his shit because he's too polite to be like. "I could murder all of you by existing."
We know Hell is canon because it was big ass giant doors Rukia summoned at the start of the series.
But I will still have to concede. Even Hell would not be an escape for him. Rukia would probably team up with Nel, Tatsuki and Ikumi just to rescue him
>Rukia summoned at the start of the series.
She didn't summon a damn thing, the portal came on its own because it's a universal law that sins committed before turning into Hollows won't be forgiven, Shinigami don't have any power over Hell.
>Is polite when referring to the Quincy.
>Is grateful the Quincy destroyed SS.
>Ukitake says Shunsui let the Quincy invade the Royal Palace, which he doesn't deny.
>"The divine presence is now working in our favor."
>brb Ukitake, I'm off to visit Central 46.
If these two
and Aizenturn out to be the actual big bads, I will take back everything bad I said about Bleach ever.
I don't know where everyone keeps getting that they have Bankai's. Shikais and bankais are unleashing the zanpaktou's spirit's powers.
The royal guard don't have zanpaktou's, they have "tools", which I assume is similar, but they aren't the same. They manipulate their powers through them, but they don't have a soul or spirit.
Except if they were just tools then Tenjiro Kirinji's weapon wouldn't have the release command "Tensho Issen" and the name "Kinpika".
Just because Zanpakuto didn't exist before they we're born doesn't mean they can't do what everyone else did and just pick one up once they became a thing. Yamamoto and Unohana were from that time and they have Bankai, There's no reason to assume they don't have them. They could just battle with what they know, so Shutara is boss at stitching and sewing so she uses that, while Tenjiro fights with the water from his pool.
At the very least, Hikifune should have a Bankai because she was a captain of the 12th Division until 100 odd years ago
The way I took it, Kirinji's paddle, Shutata's needle, Hikifune's spoon, Monk's paintbrush, and Nimaiya's sword are all just the sealed forms of their Zanpakuto.
Overly complicated roundabout explanation that could be simplified by just explaining that "kureru" means "to receive"
>I received [the benefit of] Nanao-chan doing my paperwork
>We received the destruction of Seireitei from the Quincy.
>If it's broken, it's fine if we just fix it again, right
>that sadness in his eyes
>he isn't talking about just the buildings of seireitei
>they are planning to destroy and remake this entire broken world in their ideal
Don't mind me, just being the third eye of Shiva the Destroyer and Creator here
I did find the convo between shunsui and ukitake a little eery but I really doubt they're going to fucking rebel against the soul king when they sacrificed many soldiers against the wandenreich
Confirmed spoilers below
Yh and Monk continues to fight, Yh loses his arm?
Hiyori and all the other vizards from the real world appears, they cooperate with Urhara
And there's this good looking guy? Looks a bit like Yoruichi?? her younger brother?? older brother??
Playing M&B: Warband as Ywach in between waiting for Bleach chapters, is pretty much the greatest thing ever.
>reading fake chinese spoilers
>not just waiting for superior mangapanda translation
Yeah right, nice bait, you can't foo-
This face is what nightmares are made of.
>Monk's zanpakuto cuts an opponent's powers and abilities in half with each hit
Reminder that best boy was quietly executed because his ability was on the same potential level as zero squad's.
>yoruichi has a little brown brother in a skirt
They move in opposite directions (double instead of half) but they exist within the same realm conceptually (having an unavoidable multiplicative effect on the opponent through mere contact). Obviously Monk's abilities are far, far more advanced given his ancient age, experience, and relationship with his zanpakuto, but given enough time, Kira's fully grown true bankai would certainly have been absolutely broken.
>Urahara sure is one shady character. Looks like he is up to something.
Welcome to Bleach!
Urahara's build up is so gonna deflate when shit is revealed, I guarantee it. It will probably be "muh dead sibling" or something naruto-esque like that.
Most bleach character never live up to their expectations.
I don't think Urahara's true motives are ever going to be completely revealed. The same with many of the legendary bankai people have been waiting so long for. I think Kubo realized, midway through the series, that fans will always find their own speculations and imagination about secrets like that more interesting than what his reveals could ever be, and so he's intentionally being coy with a lot of the most desirable nuggets.
You know, I just noticed that Hot Springs Guy is beside Yamamoto's left here. That led me to think that maybe all the RGs were once part of Yama's killers.
Why does dangai Joe have the nose and stache of Ywach?
Bankais dont break when near death they revert to a sealed sword
Its Ichigos shikai that breaks the rules since it never revers to a sealed weapon
Ichigo didnt figure out how to use it he basically used only the passive speed portion of it when he attained bankai and only learned he could use getsuga tensho when his hollow used it
Bankais were never stated to require a name on release only Shikais
Ichigo is more than strong enough by now.
And I'm not talking about Shinigami Ichigo using his Shikai. Hell, I'm not talking about Vizard Ichigo using his Bankai. I'm talking about the perfected Quincy-Hollow-Shinigami-Human Hybrid Vizard Ichigo using his Bankai to go Final Getsuga Tenshou mode while dual wielding the perfected Zangetsu after having mastered his inner Hollow-Zanpakuto fused spirit (which was designed by Aizen himself) in order to don his Vizard mask and in order to simultaneously utilize his berserk Hollow form in addition to his Shinigami powers, gaining the full benefits of highspeed regeneration, the standard massive physical enhancements, and to complement his already godspeed-level Shunpo with Sonido on par with the Espada, all the while firing off additional multiple Cero Oscuras beams to complement his usage of Getsuga Tenshou and Getsuga Jujisho - which is in addition to him simultaneously using his Quincy abilities to block all incoming attacks via Blut Vene in order to allow him to also take out his Substitute Shinigami Badge in order to activate his Fullbring armour and gain a truly ultimate defensive ability to complement his offensive powers.
one thing's clear: if this is his Bankai, seeing as his Shikai already involves redirecting the enemy's attack back at them, this one may involve redirecting and multiplying the effect. at least at its basic level. I wouldn't be surprised if it has another function as stated earlier.
>Royal Guard Captain can rename things and define how strong they are
>he cuts Yhwach's abilities in half
>not into 1/10th or 1/100th
Oddly enough, this ability should make him impossible to beat, but when Yhwach uses Auschwallen and kills off his remaining Sternritters, you just know he's going to one-hit kill the Captain and be all like "this wasn't even a hard fight for me, you know."
I still think that the Soul King will easily destroy Yhwach.
Yeah, what kinda retard walk around with his Bankai when there is noone to fight
Man...The monk's rape face must be terrifying as fuck to see.
Expected he will have a rapeface but never thought it'd be..different.
It's shit like this what makes me hooked to Bleach & the usual Kubo.
I'm expecting another mindfuckery pretty soon, like Aizen arc level. Who is Yhwach? Who is the Shinigami originally? And why is Ichigo so closely knit with the Shinigami when he doesn't know anything about them?
Ichigo is just a spirit(I guess, I am still confused when he is in spirit form and when he is in his real body after the fullbring arc), he don't have power in real world. Naruto is a fucking God now. Almost Saiyan level.
He'd need to cut the name itself into a 10th or a 100th for that to work. 腕(うで) only has so many components to it to take apart, the simplest being うで into う and で, and 腕 into ⺼ and 宛. ⺼ is technically a variation on 肉, which is made up of the radicals, 人月人. 宛 on the other hand is a little more convoluted. 宀 and 夗 are considered the components, but obviously 夗 is just a simple compound of 夕 and 㔾. So with 人, 月, 人, 宀, 夕 and 㔾 we get "person," "moon/month," "person," "roof," "slant," "joint."
At best he might be able to cut him into a 6th but that's if his powers actually do work by kanji alone. I get the feeling he might have two sets of powers, one like his hidden that works by written word and kanji, and another like his name that works by spoken word. I think this arm bit was closer to the spoken, so it's only got the two phonetic components う(u) and で(de) to work with.
Well, he seems to be the strongest Shinigami we have seen yet, even stronger than Yamamoto, so yeah, he's the head of the Shinigami, and by loathed I guess he might be referring to his relationship with the Quincy.
Slicing without slicing? Where have I encountered that before?
I'm kinda upset that Hacchi doesn't seem to have changed. Risa changed her hair, Hiyori at least has that dumb hat now, and before she had the bath towel. I guess Love haven't changed much. But Shinji had his hair long, Kensei had his shit back together, Rose had his hair cut. I was hoping for something more dramatic from Hachi, he was always one oft he more interesting looking characters.
Tfw I'll never have any of those because I look like a pedo with a stache and a hobo with a beard.
Hold me /a/ ;-;
The Soul King is the equivalent of Yhwach for the Shinigami. The difference is the Soul King doesn't actively kill his soldiers or fight among them.
But he gave all the special abilities to all of the Royal Guards, and then they have their Shinigami abilities on top of that (i.e. Shikai/Bankai).
Although we've yet to see the Royal Guard unleash their zanpakuto, it may be a restriction that they're so powerful they're not allowed to release their zanpakuto for fear of how it may influence soul society (in the same way that Captain level Shinigami can't release their Zanpakuto in the real world) without special permission.
Whatever the case, the Soul King has the ability to do something similar to what Yhwach does, but he doesn't give power to everyone like Yhwach does.

>Since when was he afraid?
Since he developed a retarded elaborate plan to make Yamamoto exhaust himself from using his ludicrous powerful bankai to then steal it with his, weakening Yamamoto considerably so that he wouldn't even fight back with shikai?
How the fuck do you only judge his demeanor and fail to focus on his actual actions?
>the Soul King has the ability to do something similar to what Yhwach does
It would follow then that the two are somehow related. Which would explain why Ichibei was a little reluctant to get serious and actively try to kill him.
When I think about it, it's kind of a terrible copout that Kubo killed off/wounded Kira in the first page of the invasion. It was like he was specifically targeted because of how powerful his shikai ability is.
Consider how useful that ability would have been had he been able to use it.
Yuushirou is a boy's name. I hate to play the weeaboo card, but y'all should really have a basic grasp of masculine and feminine naming conventions in Japanese by now. Save for a handful of unisex names, it's not a complex distinction.
>has something he needs to do
>Captain Flamepants might make a move before then
>Oh well, stall and buy time, I'll deal with him afterwards
>YES MEIN FUHRER!
He was really just giving maximal amounts of no fucks at all.
>You've used your bankai to the point of exhausting yourself and to top it off, I just stole it
>All of these evading actions and subterfuge doesn't mean I'm a gigantic pussy who's afraid to take you head on, that means I am a "no fucks" hardcore guy!
It's like talking to someone from Bleach Asylum or some shit.
Anyone else think it's somewhat strange how Yoruichi's sibling is named Yushiro? As in, really similiar to Jushiro Ukitake, that guy who Kamikake'd his way into Rukia's kuchiki and also got some super secret Shihouin-shield to stop Rukia's execution early on.
>606 chapters of Urahara scheming later and we still don't know a fucking thing about what he wants, who he works for or what he's capable of
Wasn't Aizen's original plan to kill the soul king?
How was he supposed to stand a chance against the royal guard? I get that he could defeat the regular gotei 13 because they'd all seen kyoka suigetsu and could all be decieved but the royal guard never saw it and would probably kill him before he could draw his sword.
>if Rukia would turn out to be Aizen's parther all along there would be three images the next day explaining how much sense it makes
She's the one who awakened his shinigami powers even though it made no sense for her to need to do it. Aizen sent new monsters after him calibrated on his strength. Rukia was spying on him and reporting to Aizen what his level was. What Aizen took from her wasn't the hougyoku that was hidden in Rukia. But the hougyoku that was hidden in Ichigo and that Rukia stole.
>that fans will always find their own speculations and imagination about secrets like that more interesting than what his reveals could ever be
Well except for that one time with Zangetsu. He's got us looking at his sword's bankai but I guarantee you the real surprise is going to come from something else.
Dangai Ichigo only had to parry Aizens attack to destroy the lanscape. He also withstood and broke Kido who's gravity was powerful enough warp time and space. Also his speed is an important factor. He did catch Aizen's sword and took him from Karakura town to the mountains in either a couple of seconds or shorter.
Who knows about current Ichigo if he had that power up with his two Zangetsus and blut vene.
