I watched S2, and didn't look so bad as what most of you said.
I have to believe that is because of your hyped expectations.
I really enjoyed the ride and the undeniably beautiful VANISHUMENT THISU WORLDO fight scenes.

The one thing I really hated about the show, though, is how shitty it treated Isshiki.

S2 was shit. And DEEN did the DEEN again, making an oppai loli masou shoujo into disgusting MILF shit. Not to mention, having fanservice of her whereas nearly nothing of Haruna or any small girls.
Oh god, Zombie 2 made me think the series is a complete shit until I came across the novels.

I didn't have such a thing. To me it was a miracle that S1 was even good, and the minute S2 came around with Kyoani talking about developing the relationship between the MCs, I knew it was going to be garbage. Kyoani is the epitome of the Japanese "romance cannot go beyond handholding and cockblocked kisses" studios. I could talk about how horrible their "pacing" for the relationship was for days though, so I won't even.
The chuuni scenes, which there weren't even as much of in the second season, weren't as imaginative or fun. They had character episodes for a cast we had a previous season with already, Yuuta and Rikka's dynamic was borderline non-existent, and they pretty much removed a character for no reason whatsoever.

I don't know how you enjoyed it, but kudos to you I guess. I'm amazed I even finished it.
