I'm alive to see Hoenn remakes but I'm pretty sure I won't live to see Tsukihime remake, much less part 2 and 3 to Mahoyo. And let's not even touch upon the translating. I'd happily make fun of secondaries too, but I also envy them. They will never know the pain and suffering of the primaries.

Fate Zero is the best type moon property because it doesn't decide to get brought down by anime character tropes which other type moon works have (tsundere, brother complex borderlining on incest, loli, harem-esque settings, etc...).

It's kind of interesting to note that the frequency of those character tropes increased roughly linearly with H content and with the need to sell material (the very early stuff like KnK and DDD had one or none of the tropes you mentioned and no H content, but by the time we get to F/SN both are in full force). Money is the root of T-M's issues.

Nobody really bothers translating Type Moon properties anymore. There's the two guys translating Apocrypha but that's about it. Imagine if that guy never compiled that HA patch, who knows where it'd be at now.

I'm currently playing through F/S:N for the first time and I'm at the choice where you revoke your command spell. My question is, are there any worthwhile bad ends to watch and are all the tiger dojos worth watching?

Also going for Rin first.

Look up a flowchart. Getting all the tiger stamps earns you a bonus scene, it's good for completionists and overall a good extra imo. Might as well gun for them, you have plenty of save slots anyway.

Getting points avoids a bad end lock. If you don't get enough points you get auto-locked into a bad end for Fate route iirc, but you have to REALLY be trying to ignore Saber for that to happen. UBW I think it has to do with getting the good or true end. Can't remember, it's been too long.

How have you been saving? It's usually suggested to save at every decision point (as a new one or over your current one, whichever). Once you get the bad end the stamp is gained and the data is saved, you get sent back to the menu after at which point you can reload the decision and pick up from where you left off.

The "give up" bad end at the start gets you killed actually, if memory serves.

Up to you, you can just keep going at this point since you need to go through Fate anyway (to unlock UBW), and it's still early enough that the choices don't really make significant impact/lead to a direct bad end. Giving up your command spells and quitting at the Church should be the first point, so you haven't missed out on much.

Besides, there's the option to quick skip any text/section you've already read (gonna happen in UBW - the start is very similar to Fate), and I think that should already be kicking in if you save right now and start a new game. Feel free to check your settings and test.

I actually like the story in Melty blood, mostly due to the fact that there are so many people just hanging around that town that they could tell endless stories with the set-up they have.

I wish they'd dropped Fate after the release of Zero and started working on something new.

I think Type-Moon is more or less happy to whore most of their works to the highest bidder regardless of quality. The actual factor here is Aniplex. They can afford to get rights, and they can also afford to front really ambitious adaptations. Going from Garden of Sinners to Fate/Zero was no coincidence, and I'll be surprised if Aniplex doesn't have another major Type-Moon project lined up for Ufotable in the near future...

I think you get a bad end in UBW if you don't complete Fate first.

Nasu is too busy playing Souls games to write more than an average of three words per day. I'm not on my desktop so I don't have it right now, but there's a great interview where nasu says that if there were two of him, he wouldn't get twice as much writing done but would play twice as many games. He also once said that his origin is "games".

Part of the problem is that now Type-Moon has had some success and released some relatively professionally done content, it's extremely unlikely that we'll get the sort of unrefined, unpolished and not optimized for maximum sales content that we did in the old days and that a lot of us love. Saying "well, you made Tsukihime on two dollars, hot pockets and energy drinks, spit another one out" won't get anywhere. They have an image to maintain.
