Good thing you said that because if someone were to say Muv-Luv I'd say you have some serious issues if you want your waifu to be in there.

I wouldn't want to see her in Muv-Luv, as that setting is pretty bleak. Though it is rather funny how much Mai and Meiya resemble one another (both are swordswomen with long blue ponytails and large breasts who are high-ranking members of the nobility).

I would rather see her in a more peaceful series as I would prefer she doesn't suffer. Perhaps something like Bamboo Blade? I think that with her skills she would do quite well in such a setting.

I'd say that Meiya and Mai have some similarities in their personalities as well. Both were raised in relative isolation and had difficulties interacting with others, though Mai adapted to it pretty fast. Both also have a very strong determination to protect those that they care for, though Mai tends to be more light-heated and easygoing outside of battle compared to Meiya. But yes, Mai isn't really Yamato Damashii as Japan no longer exists in her setting, and she normally uses western swords; though she does have a Japanese name.

PS: I think Mai will likely be in the next game. I would indeed like to see her in it.
