A boy falls in love with a girl.

Twist ending: They never meet. Their love ultimately ends up the ultimate long-distance relationship. They die alone.

I think the time has finally come for golf to participate in the magical world of sports manga.

It will of course be like all sports manga, with hulking behemoths with blatantly supernatural abilities. There will be city courses that go through people's houses. There will be fistfights with other golfers in active volcanoes. People will level forests and buildings with their supersonic golf swings.

At the end, aliens will invade and challenge the Earth's mightiest golfers for the fate of the world into an impossible golf challenge. The dominant personas inside his mind start to take over and they come together to end the threat to earth that ended their own planet. The first 10 episodes are slice of life shit and the last 15 are over the top action as he tries to use his aliens personas to stop the destruction of own species.

A lost girl meets a man digging a cave into hole into Mt. Fuji in preparation for the apocalypse. She decides to stay and help him but he warns her of the ghosts of the forest around the mountain. As time passes, she realizes the mental toll that both the cave and forest are taking on him. She usually finds him skulking around the forest at night and writing random things on the walls of the cave while digging. As she starts to try and figure out what he is doing, he starts to believe that she is trying to sabotage his shelter. He spends the the final episodes trying to kill her, which leads to him destroying his cave and leaving him to rebuild it after she escapes.

The twist is that the apocalypse has already happened and the ghosts of the forest are other survivors.

And so, these four heroes make it their mission to not only plan the creation of their own studio, but subtly sabotage Eito's anime in any way possible.

MC is a genius scientist and goes back in time before he dies to watch over his greatest regret from youth, a girl in his class being hit by a train. While watching from the top of a building he is spotted by his younger self causing the events to change, by his younger self thinking he is some sort of omen attempts to save the girl. Younger self dies in the process in front of the girl.
To prevent a paradox he uses his futuristic technology to enter his younger body after he puts it back together. However, this process is not perfect with lots of memory being lost so he uploads lots of information into a computer AI.
Story then goes on follow the MC's attempt to prevent a paradox while dealing with his lapsing memory and the girl he saved who went slightly insane after the event.
After a few episodes developing the plot and characters people who use similar methods as the MC did appear due to the alternated timeline and he tries to deal with them destroying the present.

Common route features him and his journey to the safe land and his encounters with various females that have routes, but also his encounters with the high ranked subjects of the demon lord. In these encounters the protagonist's group is saved by what looks like the childhood friend who was taken away. The routes are average and just end with reaching the safe haven with your preferred girl
as you're waifu.

After clearing all the routes of the girls that are first presented, you unlock a route where you are given the power to defeat the larger demons without the help of the 'outside force'. In doing so, the war takes a turn, favoring humans, and you are at the center of it. Instead of searching for the safe land, the route directs you to the demon lord's castle, where you find out that the previous demon lord died, leaving the childhood friend to take over and be the current demon lord. With this you also discover that she and the previous demon lord were doing this because human sacrifices were required to preserve the human world's existence; at the end of this route the human world ceases to exist, and the protagonist has a happy(?) ending with the new demon lord in the underworld.

MC is an aspiring bounty hunter girl. She's small but feisty- even a little eccentric. She sails in her talking boat, "Jeremy", short for Jeremiah. She has a key necklace. In the beginning she is hanging out in a boat, fishing for a shark or something. She gets a bounty update on a pirate magician and heads over to the island where he is seen.
She heads over to the pub where the magician is drinking. When she shows up, people at the pub start talking about how she's unbeatable even though she's so young and relatively new to the bounty hunter society. However, the magician is a big guy.
They get in a fight. Even though it's a medieval setting, the magician takes out his modern handgun. The crowd gets amazed by his "dark magic", which is just him shooting his gun. The pirate girl is severely wounded. She curses to herself, takes out the key from her bosom and pushes it deep in her head before turning it a few times. As she turns the key time reverses. Her wound is now gone, and since she now knows what will happen, she dodges the bullets and stabs the magician.
People praise her strength and say that she will never be beaten.
MC takes the gun and leaves- concerned about her overuse of the key. Jeremy says that, according to quantum mechanics, by relocating time and place, world can become really funky or even end at any moment.
MC tells him to shut up his smart ass mouth and keeps sailing.

Time passes by as he the two catch up and find out that many members of the regiment did actually survive and have been living in the same city as him for as long as he has. Fast forward to the anniversary of the botched robbery and MC has gathered members of his former gang alongside a few of the surviving members of the regiment for a toast of celebration. Surrounded by his brothers in arms, their wives and children alongside his pregnant wife and young child, MC smiles and looks towards the viewer in saying "For the longest time my world felt like a dream, a never ending slumber that I longed to wake from. I am here now and I realize that my life has now reached its pinnacle and for that I am truly grateful" "And now to us, to our fallen brothers and to us may this days get ever brighter from here on out." As they all raise their glasses into the air and take a swig MC pulls in close his family with a snapshot being taken at this moment, his youngest son looking up at his father, his wife laying a sweet kiss on his check and his brothers in the background with handles held.

The series nears the end when his wife whispers into his ear “Wake up”. MC awakes to find himself in a straight jacked and locked in away in a padded cell in an asylum for the criminally insane. Turns out that everything was a lie, he never went to war, he never rolled in a gang with his closest friends and he never worked in a postal office or had a wife and child. The only thing that did remain true was the botched robbery which turned out to be a murder of an innocent family of four. The crime he committed was that of torture of the father, rape of the mother and children before consuming them in a cannibalistic fit of passion. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and dissociative personality disorder with delusions of grandeur. The series truly ends with MC looking into eyes of viewer, before shutting his eyes his rocking himself back to sleep.

MC visits a park every Sunday to look at the stars. He does this every Sunday for a period of 9 months until he stumbles across a girl sitting on his bench looking up at the stars. MC goes up and talks to her and asks her why she is sitting in his seat, she says that coming from the country she enjoys looking at the stars because they remind her of home in the country side. Interactions start off stiff at first but they eventually warm to each other and begin enjoying each others company during these times. With both looking forward to seeing each other each Sunday, almost like a date. MC arrives one night to find that she has not been shown up for the past few meetings. It does not worry him at first but he eventually grows concerned that something bad has happened to her. So he reports a missing persons report into the police and hands a picture into the police. The police say they can't help him because that person does not exist in the database but they have been receiving some concerning reports of a man wandering around in the parks talking to himself. MC gives up and returns to the park bench and waits for her to show up.

Turns out that MC had been suffering from severe depression and anxiety following the death of his wife and what he was seeing was a manifestation of her. His unwillingness to let her go and accept her death led his mind to continue regressing back to the days of when he first meet her in that park all those nights ago.

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, they graduate and never see each other again until they're already working.

One day, at a reunion, he sees this shota little kid wave at him. He reminds him of his crush he never confesses to and they hang out without him asking his name, thinking he's the little brother (or worse, son) of his old crush.

He meets the guy's girlfriend, they hang out, have drinks, do Karaoke, and when all is said and done, when they're alone, the guy reveals himself to be the butch version of his flat-chested crush who discovered she was a lesbian.

It opens up with someone telling the story of king arthur.

The legend of the sword in the stone is a famous one. He who can pull the sword form the stone is the one to become king.
The ones who are truly capable of pulling swords from stones are weapon smiths who extract metal from ore. The sword in the stone is a metaphor for kingdoms who had early access to steel technology. Superior weapons allowed them to dominate and expand their reign.

The actual story is set in a slightly futuristic society called Camelot. The main protagonists are a team composed of maybe an engineer, a historian, and an archaeologist. They seek to rebel against the current oppressive government in a journey to discover a new "sword in the stone".

The main character is a high school boy with the ability to read minds. He's had the ability since birth and has never revealed it to anyone. It's completely automatic...if he's near someone he automatically knows everything that they are thinking.

Because of this, he comes off as a seemingly perfect person. He knows the answers to anything someone asks of him. Perfect grades and he's the most popular guy in school simply because he always knows what to say.

However, he's become depressed. He begins to resent the rest of the world because of his ability. He knows every sick, horrible thought that enters anyone else's mind. Because he knows exactly how someone will react to anything he says, human interaction feels empty. He lacks the courage to be honest with most people because he automatically latches on to what he knows they want him to do.

Eventually, however, he meets a girl. The girl is insane. She suffers from every mental condition imaginable. She's a bipolar, schizophrenic, obsessive-compulsive, paranoid-delusional nutcase. However, because of the bizarre way her brain works, he finds that he's completely unable to decipher her thoughts.

He is faced with the first person he actually feels that he can honestly interact with and eventually falls in love.

The theme of the anime will revolve around the importance of trust in relationships and being able to appreciate the difficulties that come with it.

Wondering about what happened to their twin that makes them different.

MC and his crew test their skills on the asphalt and race ahead of the force, easily leaving them in the dust. Taunting them them with heads turned before realizing they are own the path of an oncoming truck, MC is thrown from his bike and lands in a ditch supposedly unharmed but knocked out cold while his crew is either been killed in the impact or from being thrown many meters from their rides. MC wakes up bloodied and bruised to find whats left of his mates, paving the road with their blood, internals, limbs and trashed motorcycles. MC drops to his knees on the ground sobbing before he is blinded by high beam headlights from a truck.

Turns out that what MC had seen was not real as he has been in a coma for the past 5 years and the lights that blinded him were the lights on the ceiling. MC lies bedridden in a full body cast with his legs being amputated from the thigh down and the loss of his arms from the elbows down. MC stares at the viewer and lets out a muffled scream as he realized how he destroyed his life in an instant over such a silly mistake on the road.

An app available for augmented reality devices renovates this ancient tradition: personal handwritten requests are now contained in virtual sky lanterns, publicly released into the night sky.

People carrying AR devices, such as contact lenses, smartphones or glasses, can see these messages under the viewing options. The plot follows two individuals encountering each other in a city, competing to answer these sky lanterns.

One of the individuals is a young woman volunteering for the recognition. She desires to improve her karma profile, a popular online trend designed to record altruistic actions. The second character is a heartbroken young man answering the sky lanterns to cope with separation.

Discovering these motives fosters concern. The young woman sees the young man answering the sky lanterns as an excuse to neglect the losses he suffered. The young man sees the young woman as a lonely person using the sky lanterns in hopes of find meaning in her vacant life.

As the two characters work together for certain requests, they begin to understand each other, eventually leading them to answer one another’s sky lantern request: helping the young man accept separation and finding a purpose in life for the young woman.

MC is a hobo living on the streets as the result of a gambling addiction that cost him his job, his wife and his kids. Sifting through the garbage looking for something to eat when he stumbles upon a tightly wrapped blanket. Turns out the bundle was a baby girl most likely one that was unwanted, MC not knowing of what to do with the child but unwilling to leave it alone takes it back to the shelter. Fellow hobos of the shelter see MC with a child and say to him that he was better to have left it in the garbage, MC unwilling to listen to them instead asks if they have any milk for the child. Shelter workers tell him that the shelter does not provide such luxuries, MC speaks up and says he is willing to give up his weeks worth of meals there so long as the child gets something. Shelter workers and fellow hobos moved by his compassion for child not of his own decide to pool whatever money they have into getting this child the things she requires. MC taken back from this amount of generosity uses the pooled money to get what she needs. Several weeks pass and MC is still caring for the child, with news of his deeds being heard from throughout the city. With donations coming in far and wide to help the shelter and the man that took in a abandoned child. Alongside this the mother of child hears of the good news that her child has been found and is well looked after demands that she have her back, MC unwilling to hand the child over to the legal guardian and mother resists and is to either charged with kidnapping or hand the child over. Abiding by the law he hands her back not without a heartfelt farewell. Ends with the mother and child being taken away, unsure of what will happen to her MC takes pride in the fact that he gave everything he had to help someone else in need, where as most of his life he cared for no one but himself. MC simply smiles and begins to walk back to the homeless shelter to start over again.

MC died not long after this.

After scratching his head for a while, and thinking about it he decides why the hell not? and writes something off the top of his head. Soon the thread is flooded with replies from other posters showing amusement and appreciation towards his idea, they encourage him to write more, and he goes along with it since he has nothing better to do. eventually he gains worldwide recognition for his talent, as he goes to receive an award (or something) he gets accused of murdering his childhood friend. He gets a call from somebody willing to help his case, he begins to have a positive outlook, at the day of his trial he awaits his friend, but no one appears for him, he tries to ask the judge to wait for his friend, the judge objects saying there is no guy that called him and accuses him of stalling, the MC pleads one last time, BUT THEN WHO WAS PHONE?

College student in Kyoto University undergoes an existential quarter-life crisis, and lives through various paths of idealized college lives as remediation for his perceived less-than-perfect lifestyle.

After reliving various aspects of his experiences in college in different forms, he becomes disillusioned with his struggle for an exemplary tangible happiness. He shuts himself out of the outside world in his room, becoming stagnant.
Little does he know true happiness comes from within the psyche, and not through any preconceived notion of a rose-colored campus life. His pedantic pessimistic thinking led him to a life of unhappiness, while his previous incarnations were all 'rose-colored' in their own personalized idiosyncrasies. He realizes this in the end, and in his own way finds happiness.

One evening she witness an event unfurl in front of her eyes she act as an intermediate, however, the altercation cascade into tragedy and Tsugumi is stabbed, she gazes at the sunset with a smile on her face knowing she did good.

Plot twist:
The story is told from the perspective of a stray cat who had followed Tsugumi throughout her journey to be seen as a hero in someone eyes. The cat was stabbed by a paranoid homeless man who thought the cat was an alien.

Last days of a generational starship expedition gone wrong.

Nobody knows what caused it, but the AI that was supposed to maintain the ship malfunctioned over the centuries of travel... life support is spotty in functionality, the ship is in disrepair, habitats have been torn up and scrapped for parts to maintain the still livable portions, food is fought over among survivors, entire generation blocks have been jettisoned from the main ship killing thousands and leading to strict eugenics practices to scrabble feebly toward a stable gene pool, and nobody even knows where the ship is going or when it was supposed to get there.

The story follows a young boy in love with a Black Caste girl (she has no proof of her parents, so she isn't allowed to conceive, to protect the eugenics programs, and is treated as an Untouchable) who flee their home Habitat Lock to be together as they explore the ship, find other pockets of survivors, flee bandits and cannibals and robotic servitors on the lookout for information about the location of the fabled First Bridge, which is said to hold the knowledge of their ancestors.

"Abandoned" as a child by a still unread letter her mother, Suzuko Toyoma always had trust issues. Unfortunately, there's little opportunity for a young, unproven makeup artist so she was forced to take a job gussying up the recently decreased at the local morgue.
There she discovers she has a special attachment with the dead laying there. Whether she is in direct contact while applying makeup or holding an important article of their's, she will without fail, hear those person's last words.

Shinpachi, a young man who is friends with Not-Asuka and finds interest in Toyota after hearing a rumor about her power. His father has been listed MIA in the war for almost three years
Mom-lady, a subject only carefully brought up. When Shinpachi learns his dad is alive, due to MC's inability to hear his dying words, MC suddenly remembers that letter sent to her from her mom just a few days before her pronounced death.

MC is good in his studies in collegue, he liked a girl, but was rejected due to not being popular enough, bully girl who makes his life miserable tells him that instead of studying most of his time he could join a club and gain popularity within it, MC decides to join the kickboxing club, they train him and the rest of the manga focuses on the club members, who form part of the bully gang, MC starts to see that they aren't bad at all, they simply liked MC and wanted to hang around with them, MC ends with bully girl

In a dark and gritty ten-minutes into the future setting, a strange phenomena has begun to turn people into powerful psychic entities with superhuman abilities. They're capable of telekinesis, super-strength, the generation and manipulation of energy, matter and other fantastic abilities, with only one caveat: They are completely useless so long as they live. The only way to unleash the power of these 'Martyrs' is to drive them to the point of death where their souls escape their body to activate their latent powers. The plot follows a journalist attempting to uncover the criminal underground where these supermen have become a rich commodity as bodyguards, assassins, soldiers and spies. Transfer-Student-chan ends up sitting between MC-kun and Glasses-kun, and becomes privy to the goings on of the coalition. Shrewdly, she realizes that it'd be to her benefit if she becomes their "inside man" while she tries to figure out whether or not she likes MC-kun.

She eventually learns that she does, but only as a bro. She begins trying to set him up with his crush instead from within the Anti-Harem-Alliance.

Now the twist
While all this has been going on there are brief little blips about people disappearing on the news and talk about disappearances at school. We also strange hints that the girl may not be what she appears, like her strange overnight weight reduction, a yandere expression when a girl gives MC chocolates on Valentine's Day, and the fact that her hair seems to change length every day.
A week after her confession of love the two are walking home from a date when they get mugged. The mugger stabs the MC when he rushes to protect the girl. The wound isn't fatal but the MC falls to the ground. In reaction to the MC's injury the girl releases an unearthly wail. Her body begins to morph as her skis rips and her bones break and realign. Her chest opens up to reveal a horrific set of jaws lines with hundreds of need like teeth. Before the mugger can escape he is pulled into the horrific mouth and consumed. The girl regains her composure and her normal form and rushes over the MC's side. He's freaking the fuck out. She apologies for not telling him sooner, but she's actually a shape-shifting mimic similar to the alien in "The Thing". She assures him that he doesn't have to worry though, because she'll always protect him.

A male high school student is summon to another world.
The world is made up of psionic humans, and their society is adapted around being a psionic. As psionics have varying powerlevels, their are castes in society with the more powerful psionics acting as nobility while the less powerful are treated as commoners.
The King of a particular kingdom of psionics is in a war with another kingdom, currently in a stalemate. The war is over a material that focuses and amplifies psionic abilities. They attempt a summoning ritual, tearing a whole in space-time reaching in the past, present, and future and across different dimensions to bring an overwhelmingly powerful psionic under their control. The opposing kindom has already successfully completed such a ritual, so time is of the essence and the soon to be Protags kingdom is panicking trying to find someone to match them.
A particularly well respected and powerful House is selected to conduct the ritual, due to much political maneuvering and backstabbing. When they attempt the ritual however, they make a grievous error. Instead of summoning a very powerful psion, they summon a boy with apparently zero psyhic abilities. Due to the nature of the magic, it destabilizing space-time and attempting it several times will destroy that kingdom, and potentially the whole universe. Their only chance at summoning a hero failed, the House loses their political standing. With no more respect or political power, they can only do their best and attempt to train the hero into being a war machine to regain their lost prestige.

The first part is the Protag adapting to this new world. The technology level is analogous to modern day real life and in many ways superior, only it all assumes psychic ability. Instead of electricity powering lights and technology, they directly power it with their psionic abilities. With no psychic abilities, Protag is hopelessly loss in such a society alone. Fortunately, his summoners have provided him with a personal attendant who conveniently also functions as the main romantic interest. She conveniently teaches the protagonics and the readers how the world works.
This dependency on psychic ability also extends to their war technology. As even minimum psychic ability trounces conventional weaponry, the psychics have developed weapons around boosting the efficiency of their powers. This comes in the form of lightsabers, laser guns, and energy shields that are dependent on the powerlevel of their user. Unfortunately, the Protag has zero psychic ability and these weapons are useless for him. In battle, the protag soon discovers that he isn't powerless. The mistake in summoning was that it didn't summon powerful psychic abilities, it summoned negative psychic abilities. So the weapons have no effect on him, and while ordinarily his physical means of attack would have no effect on his enemies, his negative psychic field cancels others and makes them vulnerable to conventional weaponry. The field is small at first.
Why don't the enemies simply use conventional weaponry on Protag? Well he IS vulnerable to conventional damage, but the psychics have been fighting with psionic weaponry so long they don't even consider using conventional weapons. They usually make the mistake of instead of assuming he has zero psychic ability, his ability is so high he simply cancels out theirs. If you saw a tank, you wouldn't assume that it is vulnerable to a rock when your mines and missiles aren't working on it( 2/4 )

When the Summoners House discovers the implications of his ability, they begin scheming to take over the kingdom. Well, they already were but the cancelling ability is so much more powerful than simply being stronger. As he battles more and more his cancel field is growing stronger, larger, and less controllable. The Protag and the summoned from the other kingdom meet in battle, and Protag wins because canceling ability > simply being stronger. With their trumpcard defeated, Other Kingdom is conquered by Main Kingdom. With the war won, summon house has regained their influence and notoriety and then some.
Protags powers being increasingly uncontrollable and dangerous, cause him to be forcibly isolated from society ( imagine if your mere presence caused power outages in a several block radius )
Main Kingdom nobles debate what to do with him. They could kill him, but that runs the risk of his powers not being dependent on him being alive and just intrinsic to objects from his world and it solving nothing. They could warp him to a random dimension, likely unhospitable for Protag and him dying but leaving their society safe. It is decided against because it would be ungrateful to due that to the guy who saved the kindgom. They could try sending him back home, but there is a chance they accidentally send him to the wrong place anyways. Reopening a gate is also a massive risk of destroying the universe too, so the latter two options are discarded.
While what to do is being debated, some nobles conspire to simply kill him and be done with it. They send assassins to execute him. The assassins fail, and Summon Nobles decide to use this opportunity to play Protag against the kingdom. Civil war ensues. Ultimately Summon Nobles and their allied traitors are victorious. Summon Nobles are now the ruling House, but the problem of protag disabling all their technology and ruining society is still an issue. ( 3/4 )

Having to choose between Protag and being rulers, Summon Nobles choose to be rulers. They declare Protag to be executed. Friends of Protag assist him in escaping. Knowing how his power works, Summon Nobles create a conventional combat squad to kill him. With his superior combat experience with conventional weaponry, Protag defeats the Summon Nobles attack squad. Protag is incredibly pissed at this point, and decides to conquer the kingdom himself. He succeeds in this endeavor, and ultimately establishes a society without psychic abilities or technology due to his fuckhuge field of psychic canceling. He marries someone who isn't maingirl, just to piss readers off. His descendants have a controllable version of psychic cancellation and psychic abilities, so they become stupidly powerful and go on to conquer the world in the far future. I wanted to do a story where this NEET fed up with his life and just sitting around doing nothing has a breakdown which ends up with him trashing his computer and downing a shit fuck ton of pills. Wakes up, realizing he's just destroyed the only thing he cares about in life grudgingly gets a job at a local convenience store to earn enough to buy a new one and promises himself he'll quit after that. He eventually makes friends with one of his co-workers after some persuasive pestering to get him out of his shell, and meets another co-worker, a girl. Who's basically perfect and super nice. Over time his life gradually starts to improve and gets better and better as he starts to actually enjoy living and even after he makes enough he doesn't quit, or even buy his computer. He keeps saving with dreams for the girl, which obviously has feelings for him but he doesn't reciprocate or show that he has them in turn, one part of his social problems he hasn't gotten over. Eventually something happens to her, I don't know what and she gets killed somehow. Maybe the day he planned to buy her something and confess. But it just sends him into this downward spiral where he just cuts off and shelters himself. The world starts becoming detached and the depression causes him to start having hallucinations. Everything is literally falling apart around him. And in the end he comes up with a plan. He believes he can fly to heaven to take her back. And by this time, legitimately believing he can fly, he jumps out his window. But he doesn't fly, he just dies. (PLOTWIST: Everything that happened was his brain short-circuiting on the pill overdose. It was all in the time frame of a minute, ending with him jumping from his window in what appears to everyone else as a drug induced suicide. It's cliche, but in the final moment of jumping he realizes that they were all just hallucinations. Making the pain and saddess even that much more. Not only did he lose her, they never existed to begin with

How could you make working at a convenient store fun for the reader/watcher? Maybe if you threw in some foreshadowing like at his work something weird happens that couldn't happen in real life which makes him realize that it was a dream all along or at least add something just subtle enough for the reader/watcher to notice and keep interested. This is just a really rough background, so go easy.

Anime takes place a few years after a devastating world war that destroys all modern infrastructure. It leaves societies crippled, and advanced technology, such as weaponry, are scarce or completely unavailable. MC lives with his family in a village that used to be home to military base. His brother was killed in the war, but he left behind a special necklace that MC wears. One day while MC is hanging out in the woods with his friends, they find out that a neighboring, and much larger, village is on their way to take over the village in hopes of finding military equipment to further strengthen their forces. MC and friends rush back to the village to warn everyone, and they gather what little defenses they have. Still, they get shredded by the attackers, and MC is killed as well. But as it all fades to black, MC wakes up the day before the attack. Only this time, two things are different.
Firstly, his necklace is gone, and no one knows anything about it. Secondly, he starts getting weird visions. As if he's looking through someone else's eyes. He does retain his memories of the attack, though, so he talks to the leaders of the village about it. They don't believe him at first, but when MC's friends come back from the woods of the news, they begin to prepare. They did in fact have access to advanced pre-war equipment, and used this to fend off the attackers. During the battle, MC gathers that his visions are through the eyes of a solider of the enemy village.
Now that the enemy knows of this pre-war technology, they focus all their efforts on trying to take it over, and the series takes off from there as MC's village also goes full defense mode with the technology. MC uses his special ability to win battles and gain information, as his visions get stronger and he gains the ability to get them at will later on.

There would be some episodes focused on his side of the story, but the two don't meet until the last battle. In the final battle, the MC loses his power through an injury, which is a crippling blow to his village. His brother leads a squad to track down the last of MC's village, which consists of MC and his friends. MC fights off the enemy attackers, but stops when he sees his brother pointing a rifle at him. That's the last time they see each other, as MC is shot by his brother and dies.

A detective story.
A woman police officer is investigating a case of a serial rapist and murderer, the last victim died in a cheap apartment. The officer went to ask the victim's neighbors, one of them is the MC, a NEET and a huge rape fetishist with his room filled with rape doujins.

Nothing about that link regarding circular characters do they suggest that a circular character be a one-role poney with no other defining characteristics other than her role. It's the difference between generic and memorable.

The examples given, like Buffy Sommers, show that there's more to her than being a slayer or grrl power at that. She has motivations, humanizing traits, and a back story that separates her from banal action girls with zero personality whatsoever, so using that as an excuse is rather insulting.

I can think of a few variations of the idea.

1.) As with any story, it follows the life of the MC. Their actions affect the story's progression. Say for example, a magical girl falls from the sky. This implies certain cliches for the genre. However, the MC, being an idiot, misinterprets it as an alien invasion. As a result, the world is rewritten so that the falling magical girl turns into an alien invader, thus turning the story into a sci-fi action.

2.) MC is an otaku who is confident in his ability to recognize and play off of cliches. Whenever a cliche appears, both the MC and the readers are easily able to tell whats going on. However, they end up being extremely off by simple virtue of the world being so different then they thought.

Really, its a difference between the MC being dumb and the world ever-changing or the MC being normal but the world is weird.

A vain young man samples an experimental mind altering drug to help him cope after the death of his fiancée. However, the side effects ruin his perceptions: he sees the people he interacts with through unrealistic features that represent their flaws.

The most alarming to the vain young man is his own flaw: he sees how truly ugly he is beneath his attractive appearance. He investigates to find a cure, but he is unable find the Witch Doctor who created the drug, let alone how to cure the side effects.

Horrified and unable to cope, the vain young man intends to jump off a bridge to see if it shatters his distorted perception. Until he finds a plain looking young woman, seconds earlier: astonished how, despite her plain looks, her appearance is that of a normal human being.

The vain young man convinces himself not to jump, introduces himself, and theorizes to be cured: he must conquer his flaw of vanity. He befriends her, and she assists him in his quest; as he develops into a moral person, he grows fond of the plain girl who reminds him of his fiancée.

Intending to confess to her, the vain young man later discovers she is the Witch Doctor, finding out she is immune to the side effects and is glad the drug forces people to change for the better in secret confession.

A young woman is the Sole Survivor of a terrible bus accident – the rest of the passengers involved in the late night crash were tragically killed – miles away from any help. The Sole Survivor leaves the area, calling for medical aid, despite suffering head injuries. She manages to find a gas station, but by the time they reach the site, the bus, along with the passengers, disappeared.

People report the Sole Survivor is under the influence, fabricating the entire incident. She spends days in the hospital, contemplating what happened to the other passengers, only to notice the passengers in a different bus, at a different route, wearing different clothes, while on her way back home.

Deciding to question one of them, she follows one of the passengers visiting the hospital, only to witness him prey on a sleeping pregnant woman. They are Aswang; shape shifting creatures of a Southeast Asian folklore who have taken the identities of the passengers to consume on their preferred victims: human fetuses.

The Sole Survivor spends nights researching these strange supernatural creatures, disturbed over how they vary in activities, description and even personality. After studying their weaknesses, she gathers assortment of weapons reputed to kill the Aswang.

However, for each passenger killed, she catches the attention of the police, who are investigating this killing spree, believing it’s connected to the cannibal-fetus cases.
