I can't get enough of this damn show.
Recently anime has gotten so tedious, it feels like an episode takes hours to finish.
But this? Flies by before you know it and it leaves me wanting more.
I even put like ten dollars into the damn game in hopes of a season 2
I'm too adjusted to my life of mediocrity
I ought to do that. I have some iTunes credit that I'm sure not using for anything else anyhow.
Angels and demons have gotten so damn boring in media.
But with this, I actually kind of want to learn about their world and hierarchy.
Angels seem like a bunch of feminine sluts though
Maybe you are just...
Good question, WHY is she so cute? Every scene.
It's like she's made out of marshmallow or something in human form, she's so soft and fleshy looking.
It's amazing, but the shame is fan art will NEVER be able to capture it properly
It's like how mixed-race children grow up to be good-looking as adults. Angel + demon = blend of superior genes from both.
>It's like how mixed-race children grow up to be good-looking as adults.
Who is the holy knight?
Is it one person or the whole party because Bahamut is about teamwork?
Was going for 'homoerotic' but ended up at 'heartwarming' somehow.
I never really realized she's in a bikini because she's almost always moving so damn fast when she appears.
So is Joan's right hand man Amira's dad or the traitor?
Anon, please put the name of the show in the opening post so my auto filters can find it.
Nope, not here. Just sublime pillowy softness. I'll bet you could sleep for days with your head cradled in those soft thighs.
>Using Sky High to shitpost
she just is.
you tell me. get back to us when you are caught up.
>It's like how mixed-race children grow up to be good-looking as adults.
'Cause it really isn't more than extremely vaguely based on it.
>Except for Hansa, the main characters are all anime original.
ahaha they totally forgot Cerberus.
I never thought I'd say this, but I kind of miss her now that no more Legion of Doom.
Because we don't get many high fantasy anime anymore with decent production values.
She has full lips, porcelain like skin and a naive innocence despite her vast power.
I'm really not usually one for fanservice.
But I really want more screen time of Cerberus and Amira just kinda talking and goofing off
I already watched BnP, it's okay but I prefer traps that are more girly.
>high fantasy anime with decent production values.
Hey, that's a good start. So it's based on some kind of card game? Anything special about the setting?
I hope we get a really high quality intense fight with Amira.
I feel like she hasn't been able to properly stretch her wings
I'm enjoying them about equally. The main characters are a bucket of fun an excitement but whenever it shows other characters, it's adding SO MUCH to the flavor of the world and background. I love it all.
Now that Gregor is dead, will this be the new Legion of Doom?
>So it's based on some kind of card game?
the lore is loosly based on the game, but that is about it. the setting and main characters are original.
>Anything special about the setting?
he already told you. high fantasy. it is similar to medieval europe around the time of joan of arc, only you have gods, angels, and demons interacting with humans who can use magic. if you want spoilers from the last episode, read >>116714163
Jeanne D'arc will never flirt with you. ;_;
Either way, I hope they ride it into the greenlighting of a second season.
And a whole bunch of merchandise. Figures first.
Isn't Bahamut its own entity? OR is it some kind of possessive demon that needs a victim as a host?
After all, isn't its body trapped in stone near the angel capitol or whatever?
I want and the adventure continues end that's open for more seasons someday with this threat tied up but the characters available to do more stuff whenever cygames wants to fling more money
I saw the Cerberus statue they got, it's really great, I hope we get a Amira one of the same quality, instant buy
>tfw everyone is bullying the Amira
Well then, isn't Proto-Bahamut trying to break free from its stone incasing? It's not exactly dead.
...Does this mean we're getting two Bahamuts? A defining battle between two Bahamuts? One good, one evil? Or does the proto one have to merge with a victim to gain its final form?
figmas of everyone. Favaro first, but I want the whole damn cast.
>Blames self for world
>Assumes as little as possible
>Talks out problems with others
Some fucking beta nerd with no desires made this image, it gets me every time.
I like the fact Favaro isn't your typical MC, but at the same time I hate him cause he's a jerkward
>goat-headed angry as fuck dragon with shiny red wings and lots of fire effects
Here's a rip of Baharadio last week with Yoshino and Inoue for takers since the next one comes in two days and I just wanted to keep this.
128kpbs. There's a small jump in the first seconds but I hope nothing else since I can't be assed to listen through the whole thing again.
>It's an anime, but you don't really need to think of it as an anime.
Satou to Yoshino auditioning for Favaro.
I'm not trying to say anything negative about the show or call you out on your tastes or anything, but I'm legitimately curious as to why you (as well as so many others) seem to adore this show so much. I've seen 5 episodes and am quite surprised at how well this show has been received.
So if you guys could please reply with why you like this show.
He doesn't need the keys. The keys just lock away his full power. Even without his full power he's still difficult to contain. So if he gets his full power back they won't be able to contain him.
Don't ruin my fantasy, demon.
What even is Bahamut? A god or a demon that possessed too much power and lost it? A typical Eldritch horror beyond understanding? A force of nature that's meant to create new eras through destruction?
Means you were content with what you had. You should always strive to be better, smarter, faster, stronger, richer.
>Assumes as little as possible
That's a coward's way of thinking.
>Talks out problems with others
This only works for women. I'm not a woman. The creator of that image believes self apathy to be maturity.
There's some. They both admitted to playing and loving the mobile game.
I said this in another thread but Inoue lists that the episodes up to eight were made in order 1 3 5 2 4 7 6 8, and from the sound of it they hadn't recorded past that yet.
I'm pretty sure one of the red goats should be "arbitrarily assigns maturity values to personality traits based on personal belief".
And why is one of the red goats "asks"? Should we just listen and not question anything? What about the pursuit of knowledge?
It's just a fun ride, albeit a cliche one.
Cliche can be good or acceptable as long as your characters are entertaining, your production values are good, your music is dynamic and your pacing is steady.
No offense, but you're kinda sounding like a bit of a bitch.
Everyone hates and resents. We hate those who have more than us, and we look down upon those who have less than us. I think it's called being a normal person in the US.
He might mean it only works with women meaning it only works between a man and a woman.
Woman to woman = hate and resentment
Man to man = Action
Woman to man = Talking because the woman knows that ultimately the man is in charge and his action is a lot more impactful than hers.
> >Assumes as little as possible
> That's a coward's way of thinking.
So you just take everything you hear at face value, then? You never take into consideration the possibility that your or others point of view on something may be flawed? All for the sake of self-satisfaction?
>went full retard/14 years old
It's a no win situation on my end, the harder I try to prove I'm right, the more I sink into the "lol kid you no notin" and normalfag territory. Be happy and content with your dull lives and pessimistic views.
My second favorite Aeon in FFX. You can guess my personal best.
I'm actually a Yuropoor, anon. You're embarrassing me.
Feels good when you expect nothing from a show and get everything.
Man, what do you think I'm TRYING to do?
>yfw that white stuff on her face aren't tears.
Oh fuck yes, thanks.
Another cute tidbit I picked up was that Gou didn't really have to audition; Satou basically handpicked him to play Kaisar. He called him in to do the narration at the end of the first Comiket trailer for the show, and then 'while he was there' asked him to try reading for Kaisar.
Yoshino: "Huh? Why'd you get to do that, Go-chan?"
Inoue: "'Cause I'm friends with the director."
He also says that Kaisar was initially (around the time of the PV) going to be a lot more refined and lot less hot-blooded as a character.
Is it me or is this one of the few fantasy anime out there where humans are significantly more competent than the gods that they serve?
Hell, the angels were pussing out from earth tremors.
She's the Beatrix, she will only join the party temporarily if at all.
>Means you were content with what you had. You should always strive to be better, smarter, faster, stronger, richer.
Look at this faggot. He can't appreciate the present, so instead tries to chase a future to escape from his past. Come back when you stop being underage.
It's probably uncommon for tremors to be felt in heaven. And Jeanne was just someone who happened to be blessed by the gods and given a weapon. Not that the gods are happy about it of course.
I'm an absolute sucker for old-school swords'n'sorcery. Done honestly and colourfully, without pretentiousness, it never ceases to be a delightful reaffirmation of the essential virtues of spirit. Bahamut scores an outright bullseye.
Do you think Guts should kick out Puck and get a necro-loli for his bag?
My nigger, that's the best FF.
No wonder I love Kaisar so much; he's essentially the same character archetype as Steiner. Eye makeup and everything.
I want to bully Rita
100% deserved it.
Nice going, Favaro. Keep it up and you are guaranteed to never score.
Why did Rita want him to fight Favaro so badly anyway? Did she just want to hit them in the face with her rocket hand again?
was anyone really disappointed that Rita interrupted Favaro and Kaiser's fight? It was pretty emotional and a really great scene. Felt like there was some real character development, then suddenly loli arm.
>surreptitiously feeling on those thighs
Favaro confirmed for leg man.
I was saying that HE deserved the punch. What kind of monster do you think I am?
I want to yank on her pony tail as I fuck her. ;_;
She just wants them to fight it out and get the bullshit grudge over with. She fully knows that they aren't really gonna kill each other. Even as much as they both think that they're serious about killing one another.
She spent nearly 200 years of her existence in a ruined town with mindless zombies, anon. That's got to be boring after a while, she just wants a little excitement in her afterlife now.
Oh shit you better, you haven't even gotten to best village.
I can see the similarities.
How much you want to bet this'll bite him in the butt later
She wants to know how their subplot ends, damnit
For all he goes on about women he hasn't gotten to any base while concious
No. Jeanne is hot and there's nothing you can do to stop that, demon.
I'm a bit surprised by the amount of "way too much talk/exposition", "worst episode yet" complaints I've seen today, both here as well as some blogs I checked out of interest.
I was glad to see the characters lay back for once and reflect a bit on their situation. Favaro getting pensive for once and breaking from his ruthless rogue mindset and having that reflective talk with Jeanne, Kaisar finally stopping to think about whether his grudge is really the right thing to have and pursue, some Rita antics and buildup of both Jeanne and the Bahamut situation. The episode felt good to me after all the breathless excitement we got up till now and it's pretty obvious it was a calm before the storm kinda deal, going by the after credit sequence. I guess my hopes or expectations were quite different this time around from other folks.
Jeanne's "BAHARI" on the end card was too much for me
>everything in the show is about sweet lost parents and sad kids
>mfw the reason behind Bahamut being so angry is Zeus titan-like dragocide that nobody really remembers since people were either slaughtered by the dragon or brainwashed by gods 2000 years ago.
This, the show is exciting to watch but it needed at least one episode to show more of the conflict and for the characters to unwind and interact casually for once.
It still even managed to end on yet another cliffhanger and judging by pic related, the next episode (if it isn't a "roundup" episode) is going to be even more action packed then before.
theres more but im too lazy the wiki has it all.
I don't get why people like this so much.
Like, it's fun, and I'm enjoying it, but I'm hearing people say this is the anime of the decade and all that shit.
And Amira looks way better with her hair down
There is no evidence of homo.
Pic related, it's you.
I actually meant myself personally with Jeanne, not Favaro and Jeanne.
I just happened to use that lovely picture of Jeanne which leads us to this misunderstanding, demon.
I still want Bacchus to just backhand him out of the way with nary a glance in his direction.
Oh just shut up. Jesus Christ, you waifufags are so fucking annoying. Grow up.
I hope she will kill him. I really hate the notion that they can't kill characters from the cards. It would really limit the story.
Some Fatefags had the courage to say that Jeanne (Joan) d'Arc was a Saber COPY!!! how some ppl can be so delusional?
Yes. I believe in Frobro. They're doing a good job with feeding us a little bit of his shared backstory a little at a time; still wanna know where the scar and Kaisar's being a bounty hunter came from.
This is entirely it. It would be very much in keeping with the series' sense of humor to have Favaro trying so desperately to get away from his status as the chosen one that he expends more effort on avoiding it than it would have taken to just pick up Excalibur or whatever it is.
It's a very good thing.
Quest to add a beastwoman and a matching set of black, white and blue mages to the party next season?
And the Evil Jean card is like 10 times more powerful than the regular Jean. So yeah I think Jean is gonna turn into last boss in the animu.
Maybe the recap episode will have funny narration at least.
Not to get everyone's hopes up, but maybe it'll even be like Trigun episode 13, where it was a clip show but with new scenes to frame it here and there.
Kaisar, go to bed before Rita catches you and gets out the Shame Cross.
Agreed. I don't like the way the women look on the cards. Some of the men and monster types look okay though.
Yeah this is what I'm hoping for. I'm still gonna watch it, but the wait for new content is gonna be such torture.
that's the problem when you have like a billion artists all with distinctively different art style all drawing cards for the same universe. some art will end up like moe shits.
>Favaro trying so desperately to get away from his status as the chosen one that he expends more effort on avoiding it than it would have taken to just pick up Excalibur or whatever it is.
that is so horribly cliche though
>asshat has responsibility thrust on him
>initially eschews it but is forced to become a hero
god, please no
