Season 2 of Oregairu/Yahari will be a blast.
I'm going to miss the cheap but charming style of the first season. For what a shitty budget they had, I think they did really well with it stylistically instead of dumping all the money into a few choice episodes.
How could they fuck up this hard?
>people don't know about this
consider yourselves lucky
S2 has the Index anime designer doing the designs. I wish I was kidding
>inb4 white haired 8man
You just can't get enough surprise for all this stupid newfag.
Yeah we have a fucking evidence here, that he's a fucking newfag. But oh noooo it's just a ruse boo hooo. So fucking rekt you piece of shit. I'm talking to you>>116354544
>inb4 u mad
I like old design better.
Yukino is better girl no matter how she looks though.
Would Hachiman be able to beat Accelerator if he had the power to explode all lies?
8man became 10x cooler though he'll probably look like this during the 2nd season
Both are nothing alike.
Watamote is about a girl being a bitch and being at fault for her own misery
Yahari is about a stupid teenager thinking he is smarter than everyone else and the author proving him right because he deals with his own personal trauma this way.
Is there actually an S2 of this or are you all just rusing me?
I enjoyed S1
Studio Feel are going to absolutely rape this show, Thanks Brains Base you bastards you could have prevented this.
>author proving him right
Not really. He fulfills the "wishes" of the clients but it really does not help them in the long run. Take Yui for example, her skills in cooking did not improve. Sagami got the experience she needs to grow but also got traumatized in the process. Rumi Rumi was not bullied anymore but she also became more isolated and Tobe will never ever get Ebina. The author portrays that 8man's methods may get the job done but there are collateral damages. It's just like using a dynamite to melt water.
Ahahaha eat shit Yaharifags.
Hopefully she doesn't confess to 8man and get rejected.
I like her but I also liked Ayase and look what happened to her.
Welcome to Endless Summer. Make sure you pack some aloe.
More likely that she confesses to him, but also rejects him at the same time, and tries to push him to confess to the girl he loves, Komachi.
>My youth romantic comedy is WRONG as I expected
Do not worry anon, there's a reason why this animu has that title. Do not count the green-haired senpai (in this case kouhai) out just yet.
Go to the thread late.
>people were shitting on some guy who compared the image to a recolored accelerator
>people getting called crossboarders over it.
>there are people on /a/ right now that honestly thought that OP's image was a legitimate image of new 8man. Despite the clear difference in character design and its uncanny similarity to index.
I've seen /a/ through almost 6 years now, through many ups and downs. But this right here...
Bigger image of volume 10's cover.
She's a slut doe
>WAAH I GOT REJECTED BY THE POPULAR BISHONEN!... Well who cares I can ger the consolation price
Fuck that bitch, I really hope that Hachiman destroys that whore if that happens
Nah, she'll experience
genuine loveand heart break.
It comes out on the 18th. It should get to my place by Friday of that week. Also taking a couple of days off of work. Assuming I can do 10 pages an hour without getting distracted...
I will be wishing for your success onii sama.
From the sound of how fast you'll be pumping shit out, i'll dodge the threads until you complete it to avoid spoilers.
You're the best thing i'm looking forward to. Godspeed our lord and savior.
Do you expect for me to wait that long Morty?
I don't really care.
BASED SPYRO, thanks for the hard work.
>Fuck that bitch, I really hope that Hachiman destroys that whore if that happens
Iroha is already 8mans disciple. He knows shes sly but she's the 8man approved brand of slyness now. He admitted he's proud of her, that's more than he ever thought about of Yuigahama.
Both were more interested in third parties than their own lives. Sensei mentions this while on the trip that she wasted her time like this. Now Haruno is doing the same with her sister and her friends. There's a reason why Haruno and Shizuka get along so well. Sensei was/is probably as a meddlesome person as Haruno is.
Mougenroku's alternative cover for volume 5 from Gamers.
>Joining a war in which you will never win
Ever since Iroha came along, I have been struggling to decide who I like more: Yukino or Iroha. Both are the most interesting girls and also the most lovable in their unique ways. Supposedly, Iroha is going to be the 3rd heroine, so hopefully she will be a good challenge for Yukino soon.
hey spyro. just curious, but how long can we expect to wait for 1 chapters to be translated once vol 10 comes out?
On a side note, thanks to you and your team for translating all the previous volumes. Really appreciate it
I had a feeling. Too good to be true, huh?
His taste is better than yours, faggot.
Ayase really never had a chance, even as a "front runner" due to meta knowledge about how series work.
Kanako was my favorite too, despite having less than no chance
Anon, it is rude to make assumptions. Yukinon is not even in my top 5. She's probably going to win either way though considering the story structure, but she isn't best girl or anything.
Sorry but Totsuka is the third heroine.
Since Totsuka is obviously going to lose, I think we can all agree this is the best ending for him.
Hayama was shown as the popular, beautiful and skilled guy, perfect dude, yet he is a coward, envious and lacks backbone to confront his problems.
It's quite laughable actually, I pity him.
That's for Watamote, 8man is too beta for that.
He's not really any of those things though. He stands up to Hachiman when he acts like a dick to others, tries to include everyone, and is generally a pretty nice guy. The only problem is that he's overly nice, and that annoys most people. Maybe you're identifying a bit too much with 8man here.
I'm not identifying with anyone.
He isn't able to solve his own clicke problems nor other problems, always coming to ask favours to others.
Then he goes to 8man and shows jealously because 8man can confront situations he can't because he has no backbone.
He isn't nice at all, he said so himself.
Hachiman is actually somewhere between. He still has these delusions occasionally where he considers himself superior, but the author usually crushes him with reality on the spot, and he reluctantly admits that things aren't as he envisioned them after all.
This is what makes Oregairu entertaining.
If Hachiman actually were all that smart, handsome, etc. then the whole set-up wouldn't make sense, because chances are he wouldn't be a loner.
>tfw there will never be a Christmas episode
>tfw there will never be a white day episode
>tfw there will never be a Valentine's day episode
Why even live if the frog can't confess his love for the best girl on Valentine's day or Christmas night?
Just because Hachiman says something doesn't mean that it is, unequivocally, the perspective that the author wants the story to convey.
If you take Hachiman's words down from the "main character" pedestal and consider them as just another part of the story, it's apparent that a lot of what he observes about his surroundings is both real and useful. At the same time, the way he responds to it isn't always healthy for him or for others. Furthermore, there are times when he's flat-out wrong - in particular, the famous "I hate nice girls" speech, which (ignoring the presumptuousness of blaming others for your own misunderstandings) he gives in response to the behavior of a girl who actually seems to like him romantically.
It's sort of sad when I see people going to the extremes of either idolizing Hachiman as a heroic loner or writing him off as just some overly angsty teen. He manages to be both at the same time, and his imperfection is part of what makes him enjoyable to watch.
Hachiman didn't consider himself above them though. He himself considered himself subject to the same behaviour as well - e.g. when he realised that he intuitively cowered in front of Hayato.
This is what made him entertaining, he didn't morally blame people for their behaviour, but he held the view that they couldn't help it because it's in their instinct.
For some reason i am starting to believe Haruno might have a thing for the 8man. That she might break him to make the 8man hers. Can someone deny me? I am starting to believe my own bullshit.
I don't particularly dislike HS, for once most shows get subs and fast, however, it is killing other arguably a bit better in other areas, which is rage inducing.
Also tripfaggotry for attention sake is shit and should be purged.
Las answer to this topic.
While she has an interest in 8man, I doubt that it is romantic. Considering her sociopathic tendencies.
she'd do it just to mess with sensei and yukinon
She knows that he can see right through her, and he knows that she sees right through him.
It's a complicated relationship, I don't think that there is animosity between the two. It's some kind of bizarre mutual understanding.
If 8man was all alone from the world and hid where none would ever find him, she would somehow locate 8man and kick his door down to just mind fuck with him for a chuckle and randomly leave. Just for him at the end to wonder "Why does this keep fucking happening".
Translations are almost completed, I think the only volumes missing are 4 and 5.
You can watch it or read it and then read the 4 and 5 summaries.
Completely up to you, the anime skipped a bunch of things, but it's decent.
That's pretty much what most of the anons have done. Probably also worth reading the volume summaries. They anime misses out Saki characterisation etc. http://pastebin.com/xcaGSZ9G
That said, Nanodesu has translations done for volume 1 and 2 so that might be worth reading. Volume 6 was also done by Spyro which covers the last arc of the anime, also worth reading.
hugs him and kisses him on the cheekthen says "i love you onii-chan"
>tfw you've been trying to learn japanese for about 5 years now and still don't understand it
I bought the manga, but I can't fucking read it
I was of the same mind when I was typing that. It was one of those "You know what? It actually feels like it would work out instead."
It feels like they'd just have this teasing relationship forever where they'd also be capable of telling each other serious thoughts mixed in between their banter.
What was so bad about Commie's release? All anyone does is complain about "literally worse than Hitler" in place of that futaba babby meme. I watched it and had zero problems with it, very good script.
What's the problem? He would be able to work in his new house with luxury.
And even then, he would be with twisted individual like him, Haruno.
Imagine the sex, full of psychological warfare in the middle.
No, accel is definitely sexier with white hair.
He spoils komachi and judging from his interactions with rumi and keika, 8man's great with kids. Also that scene where he defended irohasu from yukinon's reprimands shows he is gonna be a doting father in the future
>"It looks like you’re in a bind with the leftovers."
>"That’s totally right. We’re in a total bind here." Tobe looked at the stack of cakes.
>Looking at that, Hiratsuka-sensei nodded. She directed a sympathetic gaze to the cakes. "I understand... I’ll buy all of them... The ones that don’t sell, are very lonely after all."
>"Mmm... Ah, how about that? The cakes will be half-off, right? Why not push that up? See, the half-off stickers are over there too."
>Then, for some reason, Hiratsuka-sensei, instead of Tobe, reacted. "Uu, half-off... I know, right... When you pass 24, you’re half off... And when you’re past 25, you’re ready to get thrown out..."
>"This is about cakes, right? We’re talking about Christmas cakes, right?" I tried confirming, but my voice didn’t reach Hiratsuka-sensei.
>"Why won’t they sell even though they’re on bargain...? Haa." Hiratsuka-sensei said as she reached out to the half-off seals.
>"C-Crap, Hiratsuka-sensei’s putting the stickers on herself. Hurry! Someone hurry up and take her!"
Would you buy a
Makes no sense. According to my chinese cartoons, the moon people fight for them half priced stuff/
Will he be in it a lot?
>mfw his new design is a manlet Touma
>actually thinking that Hachiman is anything more than an typical angsty, overly self-centerd teenager with a superiority complex
>actually writing analytical essays about a mediocre seasonal anime
>actually defending Hachiman's mindset, from which you should have grown out by the time you were 17
You niggaz are fucking gay.
Alright, this chick wins
He would need to do something beyond impressive and publicly show how smart he is to somehow get her to go after him. Like 8man is going to have to be top tier of top tier, for her to snag him after graduation as 8man is going places.
Not necessarily, Hayama's the top dog of the school, but his mental state is getting worse with passage of time, so it's pretty much inevitable that his popularity will suffer because of this. He also seems at least a bit envious of 8man, so rather than 8man's stocks raising, Hayama's will fall if he vents his frustration on him.
>The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It's bullshit. You got ninety percent of the Japanese public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip. We pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy? It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around pal, I've still got a lot to teach you. - Hikigaya Hachiman
I wonder how much volume 10's going to sell.
I want Yukino to open up her arms and tell Hachiman to come give her a hug. Then they both cry their hearts out.
Pink is for love, blue is for friends.
Also, I'd kill a nigger for a
“Even so, I…”
I desperately held in the feeling of wanting to break into a sob. Even though I had swallowed my voice and words, they continued to come out in bits and pieces. My teeth would grind noisily and the words were squeezed out on their own.
“I want something genuine.”
The corners of my eyes were hot and my sight was blurring. I could only hear the sound of my breathing.
Nah i doubt she is that fucking intense on to mess with him that far mentally yet. But she is pretty crazy, so eh. We would see the signs to give us enough to raise the alarms for DEFCON levels.
I think this section:
───Aah, I see. In the end, the things I tried to say, no matter where I was and no matter how much I thought, were only thoughts, logic, calculations, measures, and tricks.
Despite that, I was still looking for the words that I needed to say, that I wanted to say even though I didn’t completely understand after thinking. Yet it’s not like they would understand even if I said it. Yet it’d be pointless just saying it too.
I didn’t want words. But there certainly was something that I wanted.
And they were definitely not things like to understand each other, to get along with each other, to want to talk to each other, and to stay together. I didn’t want to be understood. I was aware that I wasn’t understood and I didn’t think I wanted to be understood. What I wanted was something more cruel and harsh. I wanted to understand. I want to understand. I want to know. I want to know and be relieved. I want to gain peace of mind. Because I was terrified of things I didn’t understand. To want to completely understand everything was a self-righteous, dictatorial, and arrogant wish. It was absolutely wretched and repulsive. I couldn’t help but be disgusted at myself for having such a desire.
applies more to Yukino than Yui. Yui's been more of an open book throughout the series, and she & 8man had already cleared up the misunderstanding about the car accident all the way back in Volume 3. Yui's current issue with 8man was that he was trying to prevent her from getting any closer, which is curiously what he's wants to ask of Yukino in the above quoted section.
1st season looked shit compared to LN visuals, manga and even audio CD ads were better
Manga was best probably. Brain base anime fell flat budget and character design wise, but worse than that - did not paint his character correctly.
He is not some stoik "conserve power" type like Hyouka`s Oreki but with sarcasm. In anime he looks like poor hobo, which is wrong. He is edgy. Really.
The new look suits him better. Also manga still best.
>He also seems at least a bit envious of 8man
Hayama is jealous at how 8man can be himself and still get people to like him. And also how people drop their facades and masks around 8man.
Her behavior is only cute to 8man because she's his sister, Iroha looks like a cute angle on the outside too. Even 8man says she's a not cute Komachi. Not cute because she isn't his sister, but he immediately recognized her behavior as familiar.
I feel like there was no way the anime could capture the softness and simplicity of the early LN designs without looking cheap. And then the later LN work moves towards the anime designs, so...
He can only make that statement only because of his relation to Komachi. So she's a not cute Komachi. But I think he learned to appreciate her more after the whole confession debacle.
More like Komachi hides it better. 8man says Iroha is like Komachi but less cute, as in she's more blunt about being a manipulative bitch, but then later on he says Iroha is much cuter when she's not hiding that part of her personality.
>Thinking Tomoko is better than anything
>Not organizing your rankings as Shit>Insurmountable power gap>Tomoko
Since it turns out S2 will have the same character designer as Index, I hope Hachiman really will look like this.
Hachiman looking sekushii.
So OP's pic was edited because of this news?
Her neck is like a giraffe's. Not sure about her shoulders/torso, either.
What sophistry and hypocrisy? Tomoko's hypocrisy is plain as day, but I haven't noticed hypocrisy on Hachiman's part at all.
>“Quit it with the sophism.” (8man)
>“How long do you think I’ve been listening to your sophistry?” (Komachi)
>When I responded, Komachi replied back sullenly. She then poked my cheeks with her fingers.
If Komachi can notice it, how did you not noticed it?
