Everything after Fusion monsters broke the game, and even some fusions are pushing it. You used to have to woe to get your monsters out on the field. Then thanks to GX, some top-class fusions only required same attributes. Synchros just needed star add-ups and appropriate monster types. Now you can take any old monster and trade him in for a field fucker of galactic destruction. Its lazy, annoying, and it doesn't require any skill so its everyone's favorite move.

I got the pendulum starter deck, and the rules regarding pendulum summons are so fucking vague, even on the wiki. What I got from it is

I actually liked Synchros when they came out, they were fun to use while some of the later ones are pretty broken albeit they're relatively difficult to summon, but Xyz monsters I never liked. Never used Fusions much, they didn't become even usable til GX and I usually played dinosaurs and dragons so there wasn't a lot of useful fusions related to either of those monsters that would make a deck better than not having them

Because there are a million better ways to get Blue Eyes out and using up your entire hand to summon 3 normal 3000 atk monsters is just asking to get your ass handed to you, just like it was 15 years ago.
The great advantage of pendulum summon is that pendulum monsters go in the extra deck when destroyed and can be resummoned the next turn.

The between part is exclusive, meaning scales 2~8 only summon monsters with level 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.

Also, I've found most Pendulum Monsters are dead draws in hand. Sure, they've got searchers up the ass, but you gotta wait until you have a matching pair of scales.

A good deck would just summon a couple of big monsters and set an assload of facedown traps to cover them.

Also, Apoqliphort Tower/Killer is beaten by battle or negating its summon. It's not too hard.

Soon as they came out I stopped playing. I go through phases, Pokemon Phase, Smash phase, and YGO phase. YGO was just winding down around the time Pendulum came out and the announcement of Sm4sh got me geared up to play some last rounds of Brawl before the new one comes out.

Because the mangaka never liked him and he wanted to push Bakura as Yugi's rival but the nip kids fucking love Kaiba and the anime staff exploited it. The mangaka also wanted to make YGO about diferent games though.

Absolutely not. As someone mentioned above, the only competitive deck that runs pendulum is Qliphorts, and that has more to do with the archetype itself being broken. Maybe this will change once more pendulum cards are introduced, but it's very doubtful.

Use Spellcasters. Trance is a 26 beat and with Dragon Horn Hunter, he gets better. You can search both with that Blue Dragon Summoner guy too.

Your deck seems to be a little all over the place, but I can see what you're doing with it. It's alright. Ditch lightning vortex unless dropping cards from hand to grave is that important to you. Raigeki is actually limited last I saw. I'd recommend maxing out on Dragon tuners and level 8 dragons to make best use of Trade in and Cards of Consonance, but that's just my preference.
