What gives Japanese cartoons that recognizable "anime" style, compared to American cartoons?
Shiny skin, big shiny eyes, shiny multi-colored hair.
Basically, it's gotta be shiny and skip a lot of frames.
Oh yeah, dark inks.
^ This was obviously done by a Westerner.
>everything tends to stay on-model in anime
I beg to differ, idiosyncratic animation styles are more common in anime. It's not uncommon to see talented animators having their own distinctive styles.
Because it requires a suspension of disbelief far more than an average WWE show when everyone, heroes and villains alike, burst out into song and dance during a particularly serious scene?
Because it looks sterile and boring
How are you supposed to dress underwater
>tfw this is ruining anime
>Those expressions during the final scene
I only still watch anime becuase this is merely a phase. They will go back eventually, I am sure.
I'm pretty sure you can count every new anime with Sawano a musical at this point.
Also different business models. Elevens already promote and sell OPs, EDs and OSTs. No need to make even more musical numbers.
Jane is best disney girl. Prove me wrong faglords
Disney was shit anyway.
>Adapt Hunchback of Notredame
>Pussy out and edit it to hell
