is it just me or does Rin's face look like a star
>yfw Archer lipped Trace on
Just wait for Secondaries to ask what he said.
This is exactly like in my Chinese choose-your-own-adventure games!
>we no longer have to deal with DEEN's stick figures for this scene
Why are you guys so excited if even a tertiary knows what is going to happen?
This is exactly like the first time I watched the rooftop fight in the first KnK
I want to laugh at how silly it is, but part of me feels dead when I see that.
The only thing I thought about this scene was that it took two seconds for Archer to actually attack after disappearing which kind of broke any suspense of disbelief because it should not take that long to attack if you can move so fast as to disappear. Fucking two seconds.
the first few BWAAAAAAAAAAs is inception-y yeah
it turns more fate-ish after that though
i'm hoping to hear hurricane swordsman and of course sword of promised victory at some point in this show
It didnt break anything. We saw Lancer deal with it in a reaction speed that is relative to his.
Anyone observing this fight normally from the sidelines wouldnt be able to track any of the movements of either of them
>that noise when he disappeares and the ground fragments
I got hard as fuck.
>the fight we get is as good as the actual description of the fight we had in the VN
I wonder what it would have been there when it was first shown. (audible orgasms everywhere)
Was I the only one who was dissapointed that the battle music didn't break into this (at 2:00):
It was like "it's about to go down, almost there, so close, almost, nope".
It had a perfect start for it to be all "dum, dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum"
Yes. I haven't been on /a/ for about 2 years. Thank you based ufotable.
So many things about this fight.
The sound when Archer disappears.
The inaudible "Trace On" that was there for no other reason than pure fanservice.
The blades breaking and disappearing only to be replaced by new ones.
This is right up there with the Ilya/Saber fight for best animated Type Moon battle.
This is my only complaint about the fight.
What would happen if Rin summoned Gil? (ignoring the discussion about whether or not it would work, hold you autism faggots)
If Gil met incarnated Gil, what happens? Would Fuyuki blow up from an inevitable fight?
I feel like that what it was should have been...Is it reading my mind?
Start with this show or read the VN, it's your choice. Do not start with Fate/Zero as it spoils more than a few big plot points of FSN, though if you read these threads you'll inevitably get an eyeful of those spoilers anyway.
Better than I ever imagined it myself. Dis gun b good. So, so good.
I'd say watching Carnival Phantasm is more vital than Prisma Ilya. Prisma Ilya fleshes out the backstory a lot, but it's not really necessary. Dropping straight into F/SN without watching Carnival Phantasm would be like jumping into the deep end of the pool, you'd have no idea what's going on.
Kotomine is the Red Hot Man
It is an extremely close range attack. That and Lancer is only in the HGW because he wants to fight interesting and powerful people.
He fucking loves the thrill of the fight. If he used Gay Bulge to end every fight before it even begins, he would get bored as fuck
>Been a while since I've read it.
You're not tricking me
Yes, it is.
The thrown version is an entirely different attack that does not have the "Reverse cause and effect heart stab" effect on it.
Thrown version is just a nuke, essentially.
>But would you watch an anime about Lancers adventures as he goes around killing everyone?
Ufotable make it happen. I would murder for Bazett's and Lancers happy hour anime.
I just watched this
>my fucking face
>yfw Unlimited Blade Works and Emiya starts playing
You truly are the weakest servant, Faker.
>Those subtle EMIYA melodies whenever Archer is onscreen
>This paste has been removed!
They really blew it out of the park. Was not expecting it to be that good.
>And here we have the familiar Tohsaka basement. If this were Dark Souls, there'd be a hidden passage somewhere.
Fucking Nasu his Origin is too strong.
>What if Archer actually had to face Gay Bolg? Would he have a counter to it, or would he have died instantly?
He would have survived perhaps, but he would not counter it.
>Takeuchi: So, would Archer get hit?
>Nasu: For sure. But since he knows about it, he wouldn’t approach Lancer in the first place. If it looked like Lancer was seriously getting ready to use Gae Bolg, Archer would already be frantically getting as far away as possible.
Takeuchi: Ah, I see. That sort of tactic is always an option, huh? So what about the thrown version?
>Nasu: The “Spear of Striking Death Flight”. That one’s just pure, simple destructive power.
>Takeuchi: As expected. If you added on the concept of heart-piercing at long range too, then…
>Nasu: …it would end up being the ability of Lancer’s father. The ultimate version of Fragarach.
>Takeuchi: Eternal Force Blizzard! And the target dies. Around that level.
>Nasu: Naturally. Because the battles in mythology are freaking hax, right
Right before Lancer called out the name you'd see Archer hauling ass away from there. Archer has to time it right or else Lancer would just chase after him with superior speed.
This scene scarred the shit out of me at first, I has my 5.1 up fairly loud since the neighbors are away for the weekend with my bass up pretty high then that BOOM, it shook my floor and desk, I had to pause the scene to check if my sub was still alive.
I guess it makes sense since it happened right after she told him to fight well, but the effect was a bit strange. Rider didn't go super sayian when Waver used all his command spells in F/Z.
Please don't make me wait until episode 3 for BAH ZAH KAH
>Doesn't she know the purpose she was given to the Matous was to make her their heir?
That's incorrect, the purpose of her being away was so that she could give birth to a proper heir. She had to be forcefully converted into a Matou, but Zouken had no hopes for her in this war. All of his hopes were on what she gives birth to, and molding that into his perfect killer.
She was the test product that went through some shit to be molded, and thus was a bit out of tune, while the real one he makes was the one he was going for. This out of tune nature though gave birth to a real monster in one route. There's a reason he didn't bother getting involved in two routes of the game, since he had no hope for it.
When is Ufotable going to make a Tsukihime anime? Fate shit is boring
>Nasu: The “Spear of Striking Death Flight”. That one’s just pure, simple destructive power
This reminds me that I got into a long ass argument once with someone here over whether or not the thrown attack had the reverse causality effect. He kept insisting that it had the exact same properties as the regular NP and with the nuclear explosion to boot. I knew I was fucking right.
>I was there, too.
Are you sure? This was over a month ago, at least. Though it wouldn't surprise me if someone else had recently regurgitated the same debate, every day is repost day. But if you're really talking about the same thread from over a month ago, damn son.
Gil is no longer a servant after Zero since the Grail gave him real flesh and bones, making him just another person on anyone's radar. The world still thinks his existence is an anomally though, so proper maintenance of magical energy is still required to keep him alive. Which is why he required some orphans as a lifeline.
Also, Gil should not be capable of going into spirit-mode (aka: disappear into thin air) because of this, but I remember him doing that in the DEEN version which they didn't even bother fixing in the DVD release.
>ufotable's version of Nrvnqsr battle based on the manga
I'm already dead.
It's got far more power, far more range, and it does still have the attribute of "Will hit" but not "Will hit the heart".
Some think "Why even do we need Striking Death when we have Heart Piercing?", but sometimes you just need to bomb the hell out of someone when stabbing them doesn't work. It's Striking Death which supposedly can kill Herc completely? Although Heart Pierce might do it as well, since it takes away all your HP if it hits dead on, depending on they interpret it.
For someone who has 100HP, it will take at least 100HP away. For someone with 1,000,000HP, it'll take at least 1,000,000HP away if it hits dead on. The power of the curse is that it takes away the full amount of your HP away and makes it impossible to heal if it hits dead on. If it's not dead on, it can be healed from however. Lancer can use Runes to raise his attack power to A rank so Gae Bolg can Pierce according to Nasu, and it's stated that no matter how small the chances, he can beat Hercules entirely somehow.
It's possible that Hercules HP is listed all together, which is why you can kill him multiple times with the same hit if you manage to go over A rank. Although the other option is that an Anti-Army or something above Anti-Personal NP is needed, to take out multiple lives at once.
>Deen UBW wasn't that bad though.
The sound of that air slamming back in on itself.
>Are you sure? This was over a month ago, at least. Though it wouldn't surprise me if someone else had recently regurgitated the same debate, every day is repost day. But if you're really talking about the same thread from over a month ago, damn son.
Yep, I was there.
Fate/CCC2 : Overloaded Edition
Choose from servants within all classes
Assassin : Li Shuwen
He can't even catch a break in his own story mode.
I just want to give Lancer a happy ending for once.
So, this is the RAW, then? I don't see anyone talking about the speech, though that isnt really much of a hint, seeing as it's fate stay night and you can see it like 3 times in the VN.
