Lets have /a/ nostalgia thread from the last 11 years.
>Have random /a/nons do a free drawing
Yes i assume. Came in and asked for Anime recommendation. But he is still a faggot.
Dunno if 4 years count as nostalgia, but this was a thing even in 2006+
I am pic related old. Do I count as old?
Protip: text boards are still accessable, do some research, but you cant post
what happened`? Dont watch fujoshit stuff
Mudo walked around the outside of the school building.
"Why haven't I touched her yet?" he thought to himself. "I bet she feels nice."
Just then he saw the object of his thoughts, the thing known as Potemayo sleeping in the sunshine under a tree. She wasn't wearing the bottom part of her clothes, whatever it is. Then he saw it billowing on a clothes line, drying in the sunlight.
"She must have wet herself again" he thought. For some reason, this made him feel a little aroused. "Now's my chance."
Mudo walked up to where it was laying and reached his hand downwards. She made pleasing sounds in her sleep. His hand came into contact with her rotund body.
"At last" he thought. Potemayo felt soft and warm to the touch, like a warm bag of oatmeal. Mudo then proceeded to pick her up. He squeezed her quite gently. She stirred slightly. "Suny-ao" she murmured in her half awake state.
A devilish thought came into Mudo's mind.
Oh fuck you I can't believe I remember that show much less this pasta
He held her tightly and ran into the school building towards the bathrooms. Checking that no one had seen him, he went inside. The room was empty.
Mudo entered one of the stalls and locked the door. Potemayo was awake by now. "Honi honi" she cooed looking up at him with her large round eyes from the toilet seat where he had placed her.
Slowly, Mudo began to undo his trousers and pull them down. When they had been removed he quickly grabbed Potemayo by her stubby arms and sat on the waiting seat.
Not expecting this, Potemayo started snarling angrily at him.
"SHAAAAAAAAAAAA" she growled, attempting to intimidate him.
Seeing that this had no effect on her captor, Potemayo's anger turned to fear at what was going to happen. This only made Mudo more aroused.
"Aaaah" he cried as he ran her up and down, alternating between smooth and rough movements.
Potemayo was now visibly terrified and wet herself all over his penis and crotch area. While he enjoyed the feeling of the warm liquid cascading onto his groin, he had been urinated on and saw this as a grave insult.
He picked her up and stabbed at her with his erect penis, causing further cries of fear from his pink haired captive. Mudo then noticed the source of the previous urination, which must be the equivalent of a vagina for a human. It was still trickling urine.
Slowly, he lifted her up again, then began lowering her onto his waiting cock. Potemayo began thrashing to escape, knowing that something bad was going to happen, but it was no use. Mudo's human hands were much stronger than Potemayo.
"I wonder if it will fit" Mudo asked himself as he lay poised to enter his class's mascot creature.
In one swift movement, he brought her down onto his penis, entering her opening roughly. He had no lubricant, and thus it was not an easy fit, and Mudo was sure he felt tearing and rupturing on his way in.
Potemayo let out a screech of agony as the foreign object which was Mudo's penis buried itself deep inside her. Never had she been in such pain.
After a short time of getting used to his situation, where the only thing that happened were more cries from Potemayo, he began thrusting into her. Holding her in place by her arms with his hands, he lifted her up and thrust into her, savouring her tightness around his penis. This carried on until he felt satisfied. He did not care that he was irrevocably damaging the innards of Potemayo, indeed, the pounding had made it easier to move around and the blood acted as a lubricant as it flowed down onto his shaft.
Well, if you cast your mind back to just before and after the demo, it kinda was.
The OC being generated for it was crazy. It put most people on the board in such a happy, productive mood for some odd reason. I guess we all got super carried away with the fact that our board was making a VN
I can't believe how overblown that shit got when it was finally released
Does /vg/ still have threads about it?
Last time I went there the general was numbered around ~2200
Yup. They are on thread 2481
How the fuck they still manage to find thinks to talk about, I'll never know.
Well, one good thing that the release of the game caused was Katawa Crash. That was fun for a few days.
Whats so good about nostalgia?
I'd personally enjoy an anime / manga discussion thread more, or a general where we create lots of original content to contribute to the community...
It truly boggles the mind
Back then I would have laughed or chuckled, nowadays I'm just looking at this pic and shaking my head and thinking to myself "whats so funny about this?"
I disagree. Using emoticons makes you look like a retarded teen.
Use proper spelling and grammar, don't fuck around with sentences, behave properly and have a civilized discussion.
>Caps from 2013, 2010, 2009, etc.
We haven't had any fun Cromartie threads in a while...
You came to the wrong fucking site if you want civil discussion.
Have something weird from 07.
>implying King Crimson browses 4chan
Just saying that kiddies who got here post-Chanology really don't get to be "nostalgic".
Fuck, I don't even know why we're having this thread, offtopic shit is usually sagebombed into oblivion or deleted on /a/.
You want half the shit posted in this thread, you'll find it on Reddit anyway.
Its mostly porn, fanart/fic, a weird kind of subforum for the community where they talk about whatever they feel like, some general VN discussion, and stuff related to the Emi workout regimes etc.
Shit is barely related to the game most of the time.
Been here on and off since the beginning.
My favorite moment in /a/ history was the kurosawa summer. We really came together like the gay faggots we were. I'm still embarrassed in participating in it to be honest but it still is fun to remember. Holy fuck we were all such big faggots then.
The absolute lowest point was during the accel/propane/wiki/taiga/lancedjack days. The board was basically unusable. I remember trying to make threads back then and everything had someone who didn't like it and had access to shitty spam software.
Before this low point the board had been continuously getting worse every year. The jokes really weren't funny. It was all very lowbrow humor. Certain anime were constantly put on a pedestal and we made the same fucking threads about them for years. It took a long time for us to transition from talking about the same shit every day to becoming a seasonal anime board, which was very good.
I remember for the longest time people were clueless about this transition and asked continually why we don't talk about X ever. That was really frustrating. After we got over talking only about the "classics" over and over again we started making threads about popular airing anime. Because of the nature of fan-subbing not everything got subbed quickly and certain shows completely dominated /a/. This was the low point mentioned earlier.
Today I think /a/ is better than ever. We talk about a diverse amount of anime that is new. We even have a decent amount of manga discussion. Honestly if I had to pick at any point to be an /a/ user it would be now. I only semi fucking hate you guys. Group hug.
>Just saying that kiddies who got here post-Chanology really don't get to be "nostalgic".
As much as I agree with the mindset, sometimes you have to take a step back and realize that that time period was 6 years ago. For someone who was 18 then that's a quarter of their life.
Maybe one day it will return
I have a lots of old anime screencaps/art/shit, but I'm only going to post a thing or two because I'm ill as fuck.
I remember when it was just "anime" without manga.
8 years later and im still here, Jesus Christ im really a faggot
So is Naruto still the best Chinease Cartoon /a/?
Still, there's no real point to threads like these, hell, I come here to discuss anime and avoid the "le /board/ cultur XD" threads that infest literally every other board.
Also, would someone tell me if putting "sage" in the Email field on 4chanX still works? I can't tell if I'm bumping this thread or not.
I would disagree that the board has made a transition to being seasonal. There are less off topic threads than before but you could find enough discussion back then too. I avoided the drama the best I could so it never really dominated /a/ for me. Instead the stuff that stuck out was on topic thread spam or out of the blue stuff like board redirecting.
>Using emoticons makes you look like a retarded teen.
I does now because retarded teens adopted emoticons in mass but emoticons were used since the BBS times and a part of the old school internet culture. You just don't know about it because you are too young.
Sage works, just isn't visible anymore.
I think pointless thread caps are the price to pay for threads like this. We can benefit from these discussions now and then, otherwise you don't realize just how much things have improved.
And it's not like the catalog hasn't made ignoring them in favor of stuff you like infinitely easier.
>otherwise you don't realize just how much things have improved.
I don't know if it's improved though.
We look back at those threads and cringe, but judging by the other reactions it was funny back then.
Whereas now it's self-pity threads and >tfw no gf shit everywhere. At least /a/ tries to stay on topic.
And yeah, the catalog is one of the few good things moot has added to the site.
Been doing chartshit on /a/ for a long time, but I'm still not sure I regret starting the fake season chart stuff for this sole reason.
>Also, would someone tell me if putting "sage" in the Email field on 4chanX still works? I can't tell if I'm bumping this thread or not.
You sound like you were a part of the problem back in 2009. Just stay gone the board is better now.
You can't take the Type-Moon out of /a/.
>Whereas now it's self-pity threads and >tfw no gf shit everywhere.
There were always threads about not knowing what it's like to hug/kiss someone or just general ronery threads. Some of the stuff you see now is legitimate, but some of it leaks over from other boards like threads are bound to.
/a/ is the best board on the site, it's because meta-threads and "bord cultur" shit is discouraged.
I asked because I didn't want to bump a shit thread and I didn't know if moot removed the Email field or just renamed it.
>banning General threads
>listed as faggotry
Only good thing the mods ever did
Then again that whole image is /a/ newfag central, the same kind of people that like TTGL, Code Geass, Bleach etc.
Good fucking riddance
Still one of the most fun threads I experienced here. I wish I had saved it and not just some of the images.
This is from back before roulette threads were banned.
2008 was the epitome of Gary Motherfucking Oak.
I'll agree that that's worse, that shit needs to stop along with "let's blog about my life that's only somewhat tangentially related to anime" threads.
>The site doesn't change, it just replaces one unfunny meme with the other.
I can dream, can't I?
General threads are still around. Most seasonal anime have one, along with some other series.
Up right now: Free, Saki, KanColle, DJT, TM, OPT, /aikatsu/, JoJo, GuP, Yugioh, Buyfag, One Piece, Koe no Katachi, SnK, Nanoha, Drawfag, Precure, Miuna, Chaika, Digimon, /ai/, Key, HxH
And we'd have even more if Fall season were started.
>MGX on that chart
On one hand the manga went to shit and just ended with a whimper, on the other hand it really got an anime with all the good parts.
Was idol arc current around that time?
I wouldn't count most of those as generals. Most are currently airing series and others are only around for their release days
The ones that faggots post every single day, without any fresh content at all need to die, but mods no longer care. Most boards are ruined with the plague of fucking General threads, I detest them and the posters in them
Threads that will be gone in a few days aren't Generals you fucking retard
>"let's blog about my life that's only somewhat tangentially related to anime" threads.
But that has also been a thing here for almost a decade now. The site just replaces one dumb shit with another until you no longer fund the users and what they post funny. At which point most users cry that the site is dead and they miss the good old days of the year when they first joined the site etc.
>At which point most users cry that the site is dead and they miss the good old days of the year when they first joined the site etc.
People do this? I granted, I got here in 2011, just before /new/ was deleted and resurrected as /pol/. But I have no love for those days at all, they were just shit.
Recent shitstorms have brought the site down to that quality though.
People who joined in like 2007-9 were notorious for whining that their shitposting was being deleted
Some of it was fun, but most of it was awful and I'm glad it's gone. Boards like /v/ got so bad until the board split. /vg/ is a total cesspit
Free ended, Saki is monthly, TM is only starting soon, JoJo ended, GuP is over for now, same with SnK, Nanoha is paused between movies, Nagi no Asukara is finished, Chaika threads I wouldn't have included if they weren't so frequent during the down time, Digimon and Key are over, HxH is both done and on hiatus.
So I guess the ones still going are Aikatsu, Yugioh, One Piece, Koe no Katachi, Precure. Still generals but some new content.
Stuff like DJT and Buyfag threads are more /jp/ than /a/.
I said TM because sometimes the threads are Tsukihime/Mahoyo.
People might look at this and think we were stupid, but rather, it's just that things were more simple back then.
It's like how you look back to the thingsyou did/liked in childhood but seem silly now.
You're criticizing meta threads, yet you have been continuously making meta posts yourself for almost an hour. I can almost feel how hard this newfag wishes to be a mod it's not even funny.
Whats going on in thiUNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ
>Boards like /v/ got so bad until the board split. /vg/ is a total cesspit
/vg/ has actual discussion though, /v/ is mostly console war bullshit and filename threads at this point.
They're both terrible still, just for different reasons.
>Saki is monthly
Saki threads are still up almost 24/7, though probably at most half the time this month because delays. Right now it has good reason to exist though because the new chapter was leaked, but most of the time it's just Toki shitposting and imagedumping.
4chan was always counter culture. The internet was too serious back then, so 4chan wasn't. When everyone started to realize Internet meant absolute freedom to do whatever you wanted, 4chan started to become more conservative.
I didn't mean the threads were up monthly, I was saying the manga is only monthly but the threads are up constantly. That line was me justifying why I considered them generals.
Man It's been ages since I last saw these.
I can't believe I persistently press F5 just to navigate this site.
>/vg/ has actual discussion though
/vg/ poster detected. Tripfag drama and bad photoshops isn't actual discussion
Threads for series that just finished, fine. Threads for series that are about to start, fine.
Threads for monthly release manga only need to be up at chapter release, shonenfags manage this yet SnK shitposters for example don't and those threads need to be blammed because the posting quality is disgustingly awful
Generals for long dead series need to be blammed
Generals for non-/a/ shit need to be blammed
There aren't that many Generals that need deleting, but they should be to not encourage people to make more. Because for some reason these threads attract bad posting like flies to shit because it becomes some gay little mini community where lonely fags can circlejerk
moot created /vg/, /vp/ and /vr/ to seperate the cancer from actual video games.
Pros and Cons of each board:
+ Games discussed on a daily basis
+ FAQs included
+ Good speed of the board, high bump limit
- Highest amount of narcissistic tripfags
+ A whole fucking board dedicted to Pokémon games
+ Very nice people
+They talk about VIDEO GAMES, YES YOU HEARD IT CHAMP, VIDEO GAMES
+ Excellent video games discussion (proper arguing if a game sucks or not [for the most part], talking about vidya music, different ports etc.)
- They sometimes talk about modern ports in their generals, because /vr/ janitors allow it (the janitors and moot know /v/ suck and /vg/ is too fast for slow generals)
- Very slow board (maybe twice as fast as /dinosaur/ was)
- No video games
so much for net neutrality huh?
I don't remember what was the /a/ related thread, but i laughed until my sides never came back. This shit is plot itself.
/vp/ purged a lot of the furry stuff, but it's been slowly creeping back in. The entire board was spammed full of Goodra shit last night. By the time the mods deleted it all there was only 4 pages worth of content left.
>mfw I know what this is about.
Had forgotten about it completely.
>Threads for series that just finished, fine. Threads for series that are about to start, fine.
The difference is the stuff I marked isn't just "threads for stuff that finished", it's daily threads without end. Just because they don't call themselves generals doesn't mean they stop being them. Even for currently airing stuff like the kid's shows. If you're half a week away and you're talking about nothing at all just to keep the thread alive, there's no point.
I feel it heavily depends on how much the game/series of the specific gets new non-cosmetic content. KS general is basically it's own circlejerking subculture that has very little to do with the game, while Dota general actually discusses the game, though they can get pretty spastic during competetive matches.
>mfw I enjoyed all the sperging in the Alice RP threads
retarded teens adopted that shit after the fact, idiot. How new are you?
There's taking things too seriously, and then there's shitposting. Let's try not to have either.
You guys are capable of nothing.
seems like I am too.
Here's to another 11 years of autism... I guess.
>Captcha really did save this board.
I hate you to death. I'm convincend captcha could have been avoided if moot had cared about this board at all at that time. Now he's doing to to jew out 4chan passes.
>there's less board warriors around being butthurt about every little detail that bothers them about the board.
I thought /a/ only got worse in that aspect. Too many people declaring any anime or thread they personally don't like cancer and "fighting" against it.
An alternative for every single board wouldn't have worked. Remember that even though the site is divided into communities the idea of the site is that it's divided into topics that anyone could potentially discuss.
>I would happen to agree, there's less board warriors around being butthurt about every little detail that bothers them about the board.
I forgot about that word. I just cringed. People taking moderation into their own pubescent hands were the worst.
>no you're not allowed to make that thread I will ruin the board rather than let you post it
Does anyone else remember gorespammer? Guy refused to let bakemono get posted without gore. Didn't he get arrested?
It's just a rename; the only difference is that your email won't show up if you type it in.
There's an maintained fork of 4chan X (based the Seaweed fork) here:
It's never going to happen so you might as well settle for something like hanging out with a bunch of anons at a house.
Man, Siztra's doxx are still funny.
How's the progress on this? Those few threads on anime production and animation were my favourite threads last year.
Just in case the word jew disables your critical thinking ability: the 4chan pass disables captcha, and it's the first and only way moot has ever been able to make money with 4chan. Yes there are ads too, but they barely compensated for the server costs.
So you will have to admit that moot has an interest in keeping captchas annoying, or nobody would buy the passes.
Time to post some /a/ stuff that /a/ will hate.
I'm surprised that site is still up. I haven't heard about anyone using it after 2008 or so
Where else would I get my decade old 4chin pics? ED? KYM? Don't make me laugh.
Yeah, woxxy didn't want to delete the foolz boards because he didn't want them out in the wild.
Their drama is funny to watch as an observer, especially Tali x Siztra OTP bullshit.
He was right.
There was an archive link a few years ago that had memes and macros and shit going back to early /b/. Lost it with my last computer though, would be good for a thread like this.
My personal favorite event, the day Gainax stole christmas
Nah, loads of people hated it even earlier. Remember le voldermort face? You get the idea.
I find it more surprising that KS has had continuous threads on VG for (nearly) 3 years.
Not saying anything, I actually really liked that site back in the day. Just surprised it was still functioning after so many years, that's all
Watching the Umineko anime with /a/ was one of my best internet experiences.
It was terrible and we hated it but we kept watching the new episodes every week just to rage.
There was so much theorizing, interesting discussions and original content... I wonder about the anons from back then. The translators, the artists, the writers. Even the annoying as shit rpfags make me nostalgic. Nothing will ever come close to those times for me.
Reading those posts on the 4chan-news bit between 2003-2008, I really am surprised that this website managed to survive
And Im glad it did. I dont know what I would have done without you faggots.
Lexplorer, he called in a bomb threat to an elementary school and then called in quickly after to the police to say it was a joke.
Funny thing, he worked as a custodian. HE DOES IT FOR FREE
>Watching the Umineko anime with /a/ was one of my best internet experiences.
I was the guy who always argued the anime was better than the VN.
I still think that's true because the VN was shit. I refuse to read the last chapter.
If my memory serves me correctly he was posting from a public computer like at school or something and the Mods contacted the administration. It's possible that was all bullshit though.
>Ironton Police say tracking down Kyle Parramore, 23, of Wesley Chapel, Florida was an "exhausting and tedious investigation," since the threat he is accused of posting was on a less traditional message board site where users post anonymously.
>Parramore is charged with making terroristic threats and inducing panic, both felony offenses, after a threat to shoot up Ironton Elementary School was posted on September 12.
>Police say Parramore used an anonymous phone number to warn police of the threat shortly after it was posted.
>Parramore was eventually tracked to the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, where he worked as a custodian.
What anime were you watching 11 years ago?
