For almost everything Tate related:
For everything else, come shitpost in here.
Since nobody else wanted to make the thread.
I kind of agree with the sentiment, if not the delivery here. These threads have sucked the past couple of days. Lots of trolling and non stop off topic discussions. Its okay to not have a thread up if there are no new chapters translated yet.
Not you again, you sick bastard.
Just finished catching up/reading. Not bad so far.
Main character that isn't totally incompetent or a push over. Has some actual personality to him. The situation in chapter 1 can be chalked up to ignorance.
Also all the other heros and the aristocracy are fucking morons. Even ignoring all the stuff that's proving how much utility Shield has...in gaming a tank class is one of the most important. A pure tank with enough utility to keep others safe enables the usage of pure glass cannon DPS. Otherwise you suffer deaths and it's clear that death is permanent in this world.
Which leads me to ask. Which hero do you guys think is dieing first?
You're a monster and she'll eat you whole
Pfft all three of them came to the same conclusions quickly. Sure their games may be shit but that's suggesting some sort of weird overlap.
Oddly I'm not sure I've seen any indication of a healer so far. If there are no healers why the fuck would you dismiss the one person capable of mass wound prevention.
Anyone know when this scene happens in LN?
Damn he's a little piece of shit. Fuck attention whores.
Shield can do some small healing. I guess the other heroes could too if they expanded their weapon line?
Even better then. These guys are seriously ignoring causality risk.
Hell shield also seems to have non-% based damage reduction. He's leaving those puny monsters to chew on him all day which indicates a X dmg - X reduction = 0 damage system. In video game terms such a system will almost certainly scale to the point where shield could sit down and have a cup of tea in the middle of a horde of weak assholes while anyone else gets mulched.
Have you guys pray for Sample-sama and TLanon-sama?
Let me think...
Some of the Mario RPGs use a system like that. Sometimes it was a buff or something. Those games don't scale very far numerically so it works fine. Enemies are usually more likely to employ a "I take X less damage. Go get a stronger single attack" then Mario though.
WoW has had some balance issues in tanking that required shifting that around. It's never been the primary damage reduction mechanics, but it's been around. Hitting 100% shield block for example during certain WoW time periods. Oh and there have been some flat spell damage reduction buffs in that game before.
Shadowrun's (tabletop rpg) damage absorption often uses a flat reduction. Though there is often dice involved in that check.
Something exactly like Fallout 2 though? Where it was the basic primary DR system? Most games realize it's better to go with a % as the primary and if they have any flat it's a buff or something specific. Worked well in Fallout 2 because single player game where Power Armor should be crazy strong. (and was)
He manages to peel for the villagers. More important is his usage of the shield bubble. Control aggro by limiting an enemies targets to just him.
I just want him to pair up with someone that has a "This takes me 10 minutes to cast for good reason" spell.
>Since nobody else wanted to make the thread
I wonder why.
Don't fucking make threads unless there's content.
It's annoying as fuck.
>At least now the OP isn't retarded and actually useful
The constant threads encourage shitposting, dumbass.
>Worked well in Fallout 2
Uh, I dunno, some fights with power armor deteriorated into 0 damage ping pong until the random number god granted someone a critical hit. I think that's why F:NV and (afaik) Wasteland 2 altered the system to have a minimum percentage of damage that still gets through.
Fallout 1,2 and Tactics had AC, DT and DR and DT was what make Power Armor pretty much invulnerable against small arms fire.
Of course by the time you manage to get a suit in Fallout 2 you would pretty much going against Enclave and their Advanced Power Armor and they were armed with energy weapons, Raiders would no longer be a problem.
well, good, great. What quantity above neutral?
You are correct. There is good reason many games avoid pure flat systems. They don't scale well.
Sure it gets more complex. Most games do.
I'm glad to have had a place to chat after getting excited reading the Manga. Though you are not wrong.
Its was not that complex, AC was a accuracy evasion so it was "not being hit", DT was simply Damage Threshold meaning it would negate X amount of damage with DR being on top of that as a percentage.
It also helped it was very vertical, you always knew a armor was better that the ones before instead of a "this or that", the only case I can think were that didnt apply was Tesla armor but it was still until you get Power Armor.
Now things are just too circumstantial and try to have everything being a option so everything becomes shit.
Anyone know more manga like this? Where the heroine is transported from our world to an fantasy world. I know /a/ had a thread about some neet that was killed by a car and was reborn as a kid and started learning magic awhile back.
http://pastebin.com/t2x3NuLg I guess.
rip in piece tlanon's chapters, got killed by viets on d art
> things are just too circumstantial
Well, that's the strategic element of RPGs. A game with a single armor or weapon that is flat-out better than everything else can quickly become boring after you get it, unless you consciously try shittier items as a challenge. (Case in point: FO3 and both armors you get from Operation: Anchorage)
I'm pretty sure they can't change their human form, at least the only form we've seen them change is their bird from.
>Yuusha Party no Kawaii Ko ga ita no de, Kokuhaku Shite Mita
>tfw no demonlord loving the cleric tenderly
damn I wish it had more attention
Skinny bird. I don't fucking know, it's the LN and I don't moon. Where did Motoyasu get that ride.
Your best bet is the pastebin link from >>114405644
You can read the manga/novel depends on which you prefer, just that the manga is monthly, and if you prefer some pictures to get you started, go read the manga first, then continue the rest reading wall of texts.
Damn /a/ don't kill me off just because I went to sleep, It's only 1:30pm here, sleeping schedule somewhat fixed I guess.
Stay tuned for more
Okay since I decided to get into I I just read the firs (or maybe only since i didn't check) chapters of manga and I have one question
Is it explained in the novel how the shit she turned adult or is it just lollvlup like in manga?
It's like you're a drug dealer right now. Look at all these junkies waiting for their dose!
Thank you for your hard work, do take care not to disrupt your sleeping schedule and your own health.
>The constant threads encourage shitposting, dumbass.
You could like, not go in them you know? Is your life so empty without shieldbro threads that you have to be possessive about it despite being less than trash?
Rhetorical question of course.
"Somehow……He has the eyes of a raped woman, in his eyes there are tears overflowing."
Kinda got creepy shivers reading that... Those are some very specific eyes rofl
Sure, encourage the shitposting.
>After the thread is archived they will go away since they have nothing else to do here.
The shitpsters will fill the board if we let this happen.
>I don't care, it has nothign to do with me.
Fucking kill yourself.
Personally I didn't want it that way, but our lord and saviour decided to let the mayority decide and that's what they decided.
It isn't really a problem anyway, so let it be.
In the japanese text, each person has their own speech pattern that makes it easy to tell who is saying what;however, they do not translate well into english, so it does help to put the names infront even when translating. I apologize for my lack of skills to properly convey each character's personality and speech quirk, unless people want me to go add stuff behind eveything they say.
This is a conversation I had with someone helping me out in the translations and pointing out where I can improve.
For example, the king expressing his thoughts to the queen after she freezes him
My translation is:
“That amount of magical power, and quality, you are certainly my wife! What on earth happened!?”
But king refers to himself as ワシ , and from what I understand 一体どうしたというの can be translated as "What on earth happened!?" but じゃ would not be translated, and that means I am discarding the king's speech quirk. I think Nobility or people really full of them selves only speak like that. But, I am not sure how to convey that in English. Or I'm misunderstanding and 一体どうしたというのじゃ is just "What on earth happened"
So would a more correct version of the first part would be:
"That amount of magical power, and quality, you are certainly this old man's wife!"
"That amount of magical power, and quality, you are certainly this one's wife!"
tldr: names in front help the one translating too.
But you can already tell by the way each individual is speaking on who it is.
And very often it gets explained on who is talking.
>They are violently resisting with everything they have, but they are outnumbered and overpowered.
>Shadow:"Please, Hero of the Shield-sama! Lend us your power!"
>Shadow#2:"Hero of the Shield-sama, please fight for this country!"
>Their voices are imitated by a shadow and such phrases were spoken.
In some cases you get it confirmed 3 times when someone says something, by already knowing it yourself, by having the name next to the line and by having it explained to you by a line.
Feels like I am being treated like a complete moron who is unable to figure out simple shit.
