>reading good manga
>get to chap 185
>mfw cliff ending
>mfw plot holes open story
I fucking hate Japanese faggots who think the only good manga are ecchi and fan service shits so the western world gets left out. It's not licences here so no money for them.
If the licences here. They get readers. They get money. No more canceled series
Pissed at cancel anime/manga.
What series are you mad at?
>pic related: cage of Eden, latest series I'm pissed over
FUCKING SPICE AND WOLF MAN
I'M STILL ASSBLASTED FOR S3 NEVER
At least we've got the novels, anon. Could have been way worse.
same author went on to make Nisekoi
True, the author could have died. That happened with another series.
I've never finished this one, stopped around the part where they discovered multiple large ruins. And then after sometimes I heard it was cancelled.
Literally what the fuck, man? I thought Cage of Eden was selling ok.
Forgot To add Gekka Bijin, That one hurt me the most
Fuck you Jump SQ
I bought all Five Volumes
I could type a list of at least 10 anime that cut off... While SAO got 25 episodes, and a second season...
That's not how it works you retard.
If only 1 season got produced that's because that's the amount of content that was planned to be made. Nothing got "cancelled" because there's nothing to cancel in first place, it was just that.
Or what? You expect, for example, Light Novel adaptations which are glorified commercials to get full and complete adaptations? You are a retard if you think so. Or are you that new that you do not know how the industry works?
There was one manga I wanted to start, but the guy either died or his mom did, so he stopped writing it. It looked good as hell but I'd rage if I started reading so I left it alone...
>mfw I missed the actual last chapter
>mfw I thought 144 was last chapter for over 4 years
Some yes, if I recall Inuyasha was in the sense its was pretty much on auto-renewal and they just stop it.
Animes are not cancelled because at best they are just 26 episodes long.
Of course I'm a fag, I'm op.
If rushed ending at 10 episodes is concluded, then what are publishers doing
>Problem children are coming to this world aren't they?
Currently don't know of English trans of the novel
But the anime is most definitely cancelled
I just read the chapter.
I have closed a chapter in my life, one that was open for FOUR FUCKING YEARS!
Holy shit all this newfags, just cause an anime or manga ended doesn't mean it's been canceled. This isn't some american sitcom where it just goes on forever till it's been grinned to the ground to milk every last dollar or some bullshit show or game where the ending is open ended so they can sequel bait to start some fucking franchise that you people will just eat up.
I still can't believe this got axed. Easily one of the best mcs I've seen so far with a top story. Sometimes Japs just don't know what's good.
What about anime originals where this is no source material, those anime have ended with a conclusion to their stories. And just cause a studio stops adapting a series that doesn't mean the series is canceled.
Yes Anon, GO!
GO AND FULFILL THE VOID!
I know there's more of it untranslated and continued as a doujin but I can't read moonrunes nor will I ever go anywhere near a doujin market
Wasn't it popular?
why did this even happen?
If there isn't source material, and it's finished no problem.
It's when they get axed for shit anime and leave plot holes. It's even worse for anime with no source, you don't know what it was supposed to end
I'm still a bit mad about this.
It's my second favorite from Adachi.
I know it was 15 volumes deep, but it could've easily gone to 20 and at least finish off with the tournament rather than a private fight in a gym.
It was a good ending, for what it was, but it just wasn't as satisfying as a proper ending.
No matter what people say about Force, I still want it continued.
Fucking love her and MC
One of the few times that glasses wins.
I actually did enjoy the ending, too.
i just finish catching up with that.
I think the flatchested violent tsundere was the cutest, too bad she never did anything further than being less bitchy toward Ageha.
Snake brat best brat though, why he had such shit taste in girl is still beyond me
>Know your audience and your bosses
Nobody want's to read some pandering bullshit despite what the numbers say, I would much rather read a unique manga than every single manga that get's produced be some shounen ecchi harem shit. But I do agree with you on the write better and draw better part, can never have too much of that.
I never really understood the despair over this getting cancelled. It had a pretty good run, the ending wasn't bad. And frankly it wasn't that exceptional. It was really good for a shounen, but at its heart it was still a pretty generic shounen...
I'm honestly still amazed by /a/'s love for a shit series like Mx0. The series went to complete shit in the latter half so it's not surprising it tanked in the ratings and got cancelled. You just don't notice all the issues when you read it when you don't have to read it on a weekly basis.
>MC goes through hell to save his waifu
>gets captured by clandestine medical agency for experiments
>manga just ends
Granted, I know the novels continue on from that point, but hell if I can read moon runes.
I wanna believe its not over, but we will never get a season 2. Fuck everything. Also Un-Go.
> The series went to complete shit in the latter half
It's the other way around.
It went to shit because it was going to get axed. It's like that everytime a manga is getting axed.
Sensei no Bulge and Oumagadoki man Horikoshi knows how to make Pure girls
Probably because it had potential to be good.
But i think it could've easily gone the Gantz route.
I think it had potential to be good, as long as it was kept under 10 volumes.
I also find myself astounded by the love for copypasta shonen on this board. I usually just try to ignore the One Piece and Death Note worshipers and pick out the good threads.
I wish we at least get to see the out come of this fight, but nope artist said fuck you.
It was going the Gantz route already. There was no indication of tying up the main plot(whatever that was) anytime soon. The character relationships were progressing at typical Jump rate-not at all-
After you read too much stuff on the edge (no misuse intended) of manga, you'll be prone to come back to lighthearted and simple generic shounen. Like how people fed up with high class culinary would love ordinary, easy to digest stuff.
That and good execution trumps bad original ideas every single time, a generic but well-executed shounen is worth a lot more than wild ideas going nowhere. That's why generic shounen can still be loved, and non-generic non-shounen can still be hated.
> Why would you read something you don't like?
Even better, why would *the author* write something he doesn't like?
Because it sells.
That's where the shit taste of the consumers mass and the shit taste of the creators few diverge.
I actually don't know if the series is over or if the translators are dead either way I want more.
Mx0 was boring shit and people only liked it because of plant girl.
Luckily Boku no Hero Academia was a success
>I fucking hate Japanese faggots who think the only good manga are ecchi and fan service shits so the western world gets left out.
You sound so ignorant anon. Remember the manga industry doesn't give a shit about the west, which is actually a really good thing. Also 'fanservice shits' being prefered isn't a thing either. Lots of shitty ecchi and harem manga gets canned.
If anything, blame the fact that shounen jump and weekly are still the most popular magazines.
I'm with you on zombie powder. im sure it would be way better than bleach if he gave it a real chance, it didn't even have a ending it just cut offed wouldn't that get on any artist nerves for having a unfinished work?
Don't know if it's cancelled, but D.Gray-Man.
>Mangaka apparently broke her hand
>Can't illustrate the way she used to
>Long stretches of fuck all
>2 years since last update
It hurts, anon
Thugdere badger might get canned soon.
I was bored one night and found it. Read the whole thing in one sitting.
It was actually pretty enjoyable, and the female MC was sort of funny.
then the rape happened
I couldn't fall asleep after finishing it
I got more pissed off with the time-skip than the fact that it got axed.
Worst time skip in the history of manga.
I was okay with it, I was hoping she would go on a diet to lose weight to try and win the MC's dick. Didn't happen or wasn't enough time for it to happen, so very disappointed with that.
The plot went to hell because of its poor rankings but I loved the critics/homage(?) to the shounen tropes and the characters were really charismatic. I still remember the names of a lot of them, so I guess that's something
Yeah because being the predecessor to Mahouka and Index with it's ideas and having the ability to execute them like during the class battles, the exams, and the black card stuff totally isn't exceptional back when fucking Naruto and Bleach still looked like chicken scratch.
It's not like those two series are making bank or anything, and it's not like King and Kitano aren't popular as fuck for being misunderstood.
Just face it, you have shit taste and pick on the small flaws Mx0 had, the majority of which belonged to the fall festival and getting axed.
That's because you are a minority and don't matter. Being needlessly picky without being able to understand why the majority likes something isn't a measure of good taste, it means you are narrow minded and lack perspective.
People usually get over that stage after high school.
A half built sandcastle can be improved upon.
A sloppy sandcastle can only be improved by rebuilding it, and it's impossible to unwrite a story.
I'd rather have a cancelled manga.
That's not somethings fan do. A fan can only headcanon or whine sufficiently hard that the story gets retconned later, but since a manga that gets cancelled does so because of poor ratings, it's highly unlikely that a retcon would happen.
Not cancelled, just go into another hiatus
Its hiatus announcement is basically the same with HxH's
>Waahhh I got called out for being an immature narrow minded faggot better act like I belong on /a/ more and have consensus backing me up despite the board having regular Mahouka/Index threads!
The best part is you actually think you have good taste, when all it takes is one post from you telling us your favorites and everyone would shit on you like the nigger you are.
I haven't laughed that hard in a while
I still feel bad for them though
>Serie gets cancelled.
>Instead of leaving it as a statu-quo open ending which could let the reader leave it to his imagination or the author to create a sequel later in a new magazine, he write the shittiest rushed ending ever
I'm going to go out on a limb here and mention Lilim's Kiss. While cliche as hell, I loved the premise and it had started building up to something only to be canceled. The ending didn't resolve, well, anything and made the last few character introductions meaningless.
It did come back and it is running, scanlated up to chapter 4, first two volumes can be bought online digitally. It's called Scartlet Order and takes place ten years after the ending of the original. Also has a spinoff starring the werewolf cop dude called Sledgehammer.
I don't even care that this series wasn't that good. It still hurts to know that it'll never get another chapter.
Great space scifi, shame it only got two eps
>DRRR S2 never. No more laughing at the retarded escalation because I hate reading the LN.
>Ben-To S2 never
>Umineko S2 thankfully never. Fuck Chiru
>Darker than Black? More like Deader than Dead
>Pani Poni Dash S2 never
>There will never be another Slayers anime.
Why must the good die young?
Tokage no Ou LN translation when?
>Desire to protect that smile intensifies.
I want it back so badly.
Nana was best Nana, Hachi a slut.
Author just gave up.
Doesn't help that the scanulators are literally the worst group
>THE ANIME COVERED 2 VOLUMES SO WE'RE GONNA SKIP THOSE ONES AND NOT EVEN BOTHER SCANNING THEM
what a bunch of faggots
speaking of Hyakko's author
Why can't this guy finish a goddamn series.
ill keep believing kyoani and kadowaka wont just let this cash cow die i want to literally hand them my money and they go lol no. I mean someday i will loose all hope and read the lns...if they ever get finished.
>shoujo with competent and intelligent protagonist and interesting concept
I don't understand
That some shit or other about mirrors and love magic with the two girls and MC - and, of course, the better girl was destined to lose from the start so at least that scene was prevented from being drawn by it being prematurely cancelled.
The story might've been a little weak but the characters were solidly done, I can't believe it got the axe.
its your fault I won't get to see my beloved potato-chan ever again
I want to at least have a special about Phantom Thief Watashi.
That one gay rugby manga. I don't know why fujoshits couldn't keep it alive.
The last few chapters seemed rushed, giving me the feeling that it got axed. One of the few mangas that genuinely made me laugh, what a shame. The sequel wasn't that long either.
This manga looked like it could be good in the early chapters, but it went to shit fast. Then I looked at the author and suddenly everything made sense. I'm kinda glad this shitty manga got axed.
I fapped at this part though.
Mx0 was better than both those series with a great MC.
Am I the only one who enjoyed this? Astronomy, Space, SCIENCE, exploration? I was so hyped when the author pulled out this test where they had to get these plants super plants that produced like pure oxygen in order to breathe underwater or something. If only it was the 1960s where the world was actually interested in space exploration.
Then mysterious supernatural powers bullshit ruined it. Then the axe soon after.
>ctrl+f Shina Dark
>main characters use unique dancing moves to fight
>canceled cause no one uses a sword and diseases are too sad
>guy goes on to make successful harem garbage
This is why I usually stick with more popular series, but even that didn't make sure the ending doesn't suck.
But now I'm curious about these title, thanks /a/. I think I'm actually M.
Ah I remember this, it's Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa.
Not exactly cancelled but I want a second season or have the scanlations resume.
>I fucking hate Japanese faggots who think the only good manga are ecchi and fan service shits
I'm really tired of retards who are actually think this way.
>hurrrpa durrpa muh mature mangas are cancelled cuz shitty fanservice even it has nothing to do with anything.
Fucking hipster I swear.
Listen fag, it's a fucking single show, it's fine to not like it but the reason you just gave is so stupid that you should be punched in the face repeatedly.
>Not liking about 5 jokes for twelve year old boys stretched over 13 episodes, animated in a way that panders to western manchildren so they can grab the South Park audience
Man. I don't get you. Best balls-out antihero I have yet to see.
How can you forget this page
>Cage of Eden
Please, tell me that you're bullshitting us.
The worst rushed up finale I've had the displeasure to read by now is probably Elemental Gerad.
Usually I don't really care when a series has a shitty ending, it automatically dies as a story for all I care, but it's been like 3 years and I still wished Azuma had a couple more volumes to explain all the unfinished stuff.
Sadly, we'll have to live with most of the last volumes not making any sense whatsoever.
