I'm still a bit mad about this.
It's my second favorite from Adachi.

I know it was 15 volumes deep, but it could've easily gone to 20 and at least finish off with the tournament rather than a private fight in a gym.

It was a good ending, for what it was, but it just wasn't as satisfying as a proper ending.

I never really understood the despair over this getting cancelled. It had a pretty good run, the ending wasn't bad. And frankly it wasn't that exceptional. It was really good for a shounen, but at its heart it was still a pretty generic shounen...

I'm honestly still amazed by /a/'s love for a shit series like Mx0. The series went to complete shit in the latter half so it's not surprising it tanked in the ratings and got cancelled. You just don't notice all the issues when you read it when you don't have to read it on a weekly basis.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and mention Lilim's Kiss. While cliche as hell, I loved the premise and it had started building up to something only to be canceled. The ending didn't resolve, well, anything and made the last few character introductions meaningless.

It did come back and it is running, scanlated up to chapter 4, first two volumes can be bought online digitally. It's called Scartlet Order and takes place ten years after the ending of the original. Also has a spinoff starring the werewolf cop dude called Sledgehammer.

That some shit or other about mirrors and love magic with the two girls and MC - and, of course, the better girl was destined to lose from the start so at least that scene was prevented from being drawn by it being prematurely cancelled.

The story might've been a little weak but the characters were solidly done, I can't believe it got the axe.
