Although I usually likes "fuck world, save girl" ending. Here I prefer UBW ending for two reasons.
First, I think that UBW ending is much better ending for the whole theme of confrontation with heroic ideal. And secondly, Sakura in my eyes isn't kind of girl which is worth of abandoning of ideal. Maybe if HF had different heroine I would have speak differently.

In HF she lives to the end and pretty much everything works out wonderfully for her. In the other routes she loses pretty badly early on, and mostly due to her master.

It's an odd sort of contradiction, but in two routes we see an E rank luck servant survive until the end like that. Luck really isn't everything, considering it was lower for her with Sakura but worked out much better than previously. Also just look at Gilgamesh with his mighty luck, yet he fucks up in each route.

He plainly called this war a wash and was waiting for the next war after he planned to use Sakura to create new Matou heirs, this is flat out told by him. He only took action when a miracle fell into his lap as he notes he had no plans to join otherwise and waste energy.

Only the inclusion of Shadow caused this old roach to finally take action, when he saw a golden chance. He put part of the grail in her to see if something would happen, but he didn't really expect any of that shit. He was still going to wait out this war originally as he had no expectations, this is pretty known, he didn't change all plans in the 4th war.
