I thought it was the original size.
Mosty because whoever edited the bubbles did a piss poor job fitting the text. Actually, typesetting is poor all around. In both pages, tough more so on Fakku's version.
Title looks nice, though.
Translation is an obvious rewording however.
The scan has be processed (first scanned, then "adjusted" in Photoshop), whereas FAKKU has the source material.
Look at the clouds in the first panel as well. They're a solid white in the scan, but have a lot of details in the original version.
>Just wait for a rip, why would you buy porn?
I like my Hentai in solid copies, got a problem with that, mate?
Fuck off Jacob and the rest of your FAKKU shills, and thanks for ruining ex-hentai because of your greed.
If this is a FAKKU thread, then it's advertising. Pay Moot some Jewgold, you fucker.
Shiononome a qt. Chitose a best tho
Well, it's not that inferior.
Not to the original. But when they start doing other works translated and typeset by actually talented people, it'll become really apparent that Fakku isn't paying their staff enough.
Sorry I don't have raw and they deleted it from e-hentai but I see some anon covered that already.
scanners should just buy better scanners (duh), so all the detail wouldn't be so blurry, and the same goes to translators who try to put more brightness to their translated pages.
Well too bad for you, I give no shit about that.
I meant physical copies in stacks. I wouldn't want him to be able to erase and/or hide evidence of "suspected CP" that may corrupt what otherwise would have been "outstanding future Americans".
How is it inferior? For the image quality (can't comment on translation), it's source material vs. scan. Again, look at things like the cloud, or the fact that the skin isn't orange.
/a/'s hate on Fakku is personal, not really logical. It all comes down to "They're hindering my free porn so fuck them! They're destroying the industry while I'm helping it by pirating it!"
While I don't like it either, stop acting like you're the good guy here when everyone in here's just as shit as the other. Or a little bit shittier.
That's it? Translation's trying too hard not to sound like the existing one and the typesetting is worse. Why'd they even bother?
Sure they don't have to redraw anything but still they could do better.
>Expecting anything better from Fakku
You do know that the only real reason ever for licensing anything is to profit from it. Jewcob never cared about quality, he just does it for money.
And while people starts paying the jew for something we got for free before, said free things available are being destroyed.
>Translation's trying too hard not to sound like the existing one
Guess what? If two people translate the same line, it's going to be similar.
Compare any two subs with each other. A handful of lines will stand out (because one group either got it wrong, or they're Commie), but the majority will be the same.
Too bad that guy you responded to wasn't actually me.
The only thing that hurt H-book industry in Fakku is, actually, their scanlation section.
Fakku books is at the very least, more ethical than full fledged piracy. At least in my eyes.
(I do approve piracy at an extend though, if it permit to get an author to be know to a large public)
>Translation's trying too hard not to sound like the existing one
That's so retarded I'm even wondering if he is retarded or trolling.
It's a cleverly disguised Fakku advertisement.
"Oh look! Fakku's things are better!" the thread.
>I stole it!
No one stole anything. The raw providers paid for it and made digital scans that people copied.
Because A, fakku is shit
B, fakku is actively trying to destroy all we know and love.
Fuck off, shills
>Fakku books is at the very least, more ethical than full fledged piracy. At least in my eyes.
>At least in my eyes
Your eyes mean shit about contracts, ownership, culpability, and royalties.
The translation shouldn't be a point of argument here.
We're all just used to reading machine-like conversion of Japanese to English. Fakku is just making that proper grammar that goes with it into genuine casual English. It's not incorrect.
But retards gonna retard.
>No one stole anything.
You did. You didn't pay for it when you should've.
So we're really down to semantics to defend the fact that we're, yet again, not paying, for anything here. And let's pretend that that helps the artist waaaaaay better than fakku does.
I don't think we're reading the same pages.
Fakku's translation is on par with the older one.
They're both awkward at spots and neither is amazing.
There are better translators out there who would do a much better work.
Well, I never said that it was perfect. It will always ends up for the consumers to decide which one is better. More competition leads to better choices for the consumer thus might (low chance but it's still there) lead to better quality.
Well, there are different kinds of retard/autist. Some are retard about other aspects but I'm OCD-ing for translations.
I'm simply saying piracy isn't stealing.
I don't know what you're on about when trying to argue against that fact.
Oh well, not like you being wrong or not changes anything, I'll download the torrent of the fakku uncensored release, you feel free to actually get your money stolen by jewcob.
the only thing people are complaining is that they can't get it for free (or at least not in exhentai).
they have to support a shitty hentai site, with a shitty owner who knows shit about hentai as much as his fanbase.
as you said translations aren't the point here.
I only care about the wuality of the book itself, and of course the uncesonred pages, but it annoys me that this fag jacob is the only provider and probably wants to pose himself as the saviour of hentai.
>You did. You didn't pay for it when you should've.
And why would I pay for it? It's not like I can actually pay for it, even when I do have the cash. Also why would I pay for something already paid for by someone else? Am I supposed to pay for a bottle of water a friend shared with me?
>Well, I never said that it was perfect. It will always ends up for the consumers to decide which one is better. More competition leads to better choices for the consumer thus might (low chance but it's still there) lead to better quality.
That's all well and good, but Fakku completely stifled any and all competition.
I'm not really arguing anything either. Just pointing out that pirating the mango isn't any better than fakku shilling it so people should stop acting like they're the knight all the h-artist will ever need.
Again, so stop acting like you're a good guy. If you are, that is. Accept that fakku is just as bad as what we've been doing so far.
Of course I'm still downloading it free too.
what if tenboro (or joe) makes a deal with all chinese porn magazines?
would you buy from him?
obviously he won't upload it on exhentai (but others maybe). keep in mind that he will use other aliases.
Say if I buy in the fakku shilling system, download everything they have and then put a torrent up and advertise said torrent, would I be able to get away with that shit or will daiz be breathing down my neck?
>Fakku completely stifled any and all competition
>there's just flat out DMCAing everyone else
There's no FuckingHorribleScans or something yet? Man, if CGRascal and his ilk can churn out shit, why not others?
Don't know about the shekel and jew talks but Crunchyroll and fansubs seem to be able to co-exist. Right?
Because I made it to compare translation and earn some good shekels silly goyim.
>Again, so stop acting like you're a good guy.
If you cannot answer as to why I must pay for a bottle of water a friend shared with me, please don't reply at all.
>Can your friend clone that bottle and hand those duplicates out for free worldwide?
He can fill two or three bottles of water(that he is paying for) and share it with me when we go hiking.
No matter the magnitude, the act's the same. There's nothing illegal with sharing. And that's what scalation is all about.
A MISERABLE PILE OF PORN BOOKS!
BUT ENOUGH TALK! HAVE AT YOU!
The thing is, Jewcob ISN'T the only provider of the product. It's just that a lot of people in this thread are that short-sighted.
Only ILLEGAL COPYING and unauthorized translated works are being C&D'd. That has no bearing whatsoever on the legit, legal potential of distribution of sanctioned translations.
Fakku is the only game in town far as legit branches are concerned because they are the only business around, not because they're strong-arming the illegal side of the business.
The solution is complex, but not impossible: buy it straight from Japan, or find out what you need to do to infest your own arm into official translated h-books (which, iirc, were already getting legit translations. Unless funi/right stuf is running illegal book scans?)
This one is just fucked. In trying to sound different, Fakku's translation actually fucked up the meaning.
"Can't they just go home already...?"
One of the "they" is his sister. She fucking is home.
Why would I answer it? Does it actually help the h-artist, which is by the way, the point of this reply chain, and not your metaphor.
Still, you don't have to pay for it. But sharing water bottles doesn't help the company that makes it. And you can actually share this 'water bottle' to EVERYONE and make EVERYONE not buy from the maker instead.
>No matter the magnitude
Except that's kinda the main thing here. Call it "sharing" if you want, but when you "share" and unlimited supply of something with everyone on the internet, that's when it turns into an issue.
The water can only be consumed ones, so no one cares what your friend does with if after the company has been payed. If these image files could only be opened once and would then self-destroy, the publishers wouldn't care about you sharing them.
>Does it actually help the h-artist... But sharing water bottles doesn't help the company that makes it.
The raw-provider has paid for the manga and sharing it increases the public's awareness about said product and author which also increase potential buyers. That's actual help. You cannot do anything about people who cannot, would not and/or will not pay for said content.
>but when you "share" and unlimited supply of something with everyone on the internet, that's when it turns into an issue.
Why would it be an issue? It's not like it will affect sales. Anyone who can buy the book will choose to buy it instead unless something is preventing the customers from buying.
Why don't you stop making an ass of yourself trying to pretend you even know what you're talking about?
He lives on his own, moron. They say that in the next page.
>This isn't, though.
Yes it is.
>it increases the public's awareness about said product and author which also increase potential buyers
Ah that old argument pirates still use and wholeheartedly believe. Because, you know, as long as I'm 'advertising' it, it doesn't matter if I stole it. Or regardless of the fact that the said advertisement isn't really going to make me buy it, because as you've said earlier, I'm not going to pay for it even if I had the money.
Anyway, this argument isn't going anywhere. We're both not paying anyway. Just stop acting like you're better than fakku.
It's a preview from the store page. The raws FAKKU get are like 10000px tall, and the JP text and censoring are separate layers that can be turned off.
Jacob sent me a scaled down textless version of the OP page a while back as a sample, I'm not going to post the whole page but here's a cropped sample of it.
Tell Jacob to tell his typesetter to learn how to do their job because they're fucking it up really badly.
The raws are big enough that you don't have to make the text so massive that it nearly touches the bubble edges.
And tell them to use better, slightly thinner fonts too.
Now to address the elephant in the room: downloads. We’re working on it. We are trying to come up with a solution that will allow people to download things without using something fucking stupid like a points system or shitty custom software you have to run on your computer. We have put something together but are still testing it/making decisions, but downloads will be available.
If this is real then holy shit it will be the dawn of a new era.
Daily reminder that based homunculus delivered
Because everyone is torrenting games and no one is buying from steam right? Pirating games is available to everyone so EVERYONE is doing it and no profit is to be had from pc gaming
if you want to stand out like another alternative to exhentai then talk to tenboro to give you all the stuff he deleted and maybe people will cheer for you and your shitty site.
and stop being a reddit faggot.
I just joined in when you brought up your stupid water bottle comparison. I'm mainly trying to tell you that sharing a bottle of water with your friend isn't the same as putting a copy of something on the internet.
You can keep telling yourself that piracy doesn't hurt anyone, but you can't deny the fact that it gets the attention of copyright holders.
In other Wani news,
it looks like some Chinese site leaked, there are raws for Kairakuten 9, Kairakuten Beast 9, Kairakuten XTC 4, Shitsurakuten 9, and X-EROS 21 up on Nyaa. Was not expecting to wake up to that
>There's a reason why we have raw providers, anon.
Because nearly all pirated materials have to be bought at least ONCE for that guy to make them available. You're not seriously claiming this means every single person who can easily pirate the content would shell out the cash instead given the opportunity.
This is moronic.
>implying I don't sometimes buy my pirated shit
>implying total pirated downloads == totals sales, fucking morons
>implying buying porn
>implying I will ever pay for translated ero manga or doujinshi when I can just import that shit and never soil it
This is exactly as shitty an argument as the counter that everyone who pirates is a lost buyer. A good way to make sure you're wrong is to state something in absolutes.
Saying that everyone who pirated the product would have bought it if they hadn't had the option to pirate it is obviously a flawed argument, but you're flipping it the other way and claiming everyone who has a choice between pirating and buying will buy instead. As if "being cheap" weren't a thing. You're the exact same brand of laughably fallacious, just arguing for the other side.
>You're not seriously claiming this means every single person who can easily pirate the content would shell out the cash instead given the opportunity.
Why not? Do you seriously claim everyone in Japan pirates their stuff? Aren't you ignoring the fact that, even though publishers are complaining, they still do profit?
>The raws are big enough
You can't zoom a physical copy though. Pulling up a random Wani book on Amazon, they're kinda small (I assume this is standard size): 20.8 x 15 x 2.4 cm
"Anyone who can buy it will do so" is exactly as stupid as "Everyone who pirated would have bought it" for much the same reasons, just inverted. You're as silly as the people you argue against, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince you, since you're either trolling, or in some stupid delusional tirade.
You know, even if you were to buy the same stuff from Japan, you'd still be paying a middleman in the form of Wani, not handing money directly to the artist's bank account.
So if even a single middleman is supposedly one too many, then you pretty much couldn't buy anything at all unless you personally bought a doujin product straight from the artist at Comiket.
Setting your bar that high as a non-Japanese person is basically just an excuse to never pay for anything at all. If that's what you want, the least you could do is be honest about it and admit that you just don't want to pay for any stuff you might enjoy.
>if it does goes towards the artist, good.
Okay this is important Daiz. Can you ask the jew if the released version from FAKKU will keep the 10000 px resolution? This might make me buy it.
I want to be ready for 4K displays with my porn if you catch my drift.
The artists do get their share, though. So does FAKKU. Providing a service and publishing books isn't free business. You gotta profit if you want to stick around.
>both are stupid
>I'm not wasting my time...
So much damage control.
>every single person with the ability to pirate AND buy will chose to buy every single time?
Not always, but most of the time, yes. People do want physical copies, this is a fact. It's the reason why publishing companies still makes profit.
>They contacted him over the situation with Wani.
About the takedown from eHentai, you fucking moron. Which he knew nothing about because, no shit, why would he? He's not even one of the artists Fakku will publish.
Show me where the hell he said anything about artists not getting paid. Better yet, show me where he explains how he knows the terms of a deal he's not involved in.
Like I said, 20.8 x 15 x 2.4 cm is what's listed on Japanese Amazon. According to Google, that is indeed A5 size.
As for the paper quality, it's supposed to be high quality (or at least matching the Japanese version). As far as I know, "toilet paper" is usually used for magazines, which is probably why they're so much cheaper, and then they use better paper for the tanks.
I don't mind paying a middleman as long as he isn't a fucking piece of shit.
The problem if Fakku and the fucks who run it.
Is it really that hard to understand that if you piss off your target audience, they might not be so willing to give you money?
The download options aren't locked in stone yet, but you can probably expect to be able to download it in multiple resolutions. My personal opinion is that x4000 as the highest option should be enough for now (since it should be high enough to require downscaling even on pivot 4K screens), and that would also leave room for future expansion (like going up to 8K eventually).
>I can't get things for free!
>You're ruining it for everyone
I'm sorry, but you sound like a fucking faggot.
I'm sure if given the option to pay the artist directly you wouldn't even throw a shekle
>It used to be.
Doing things illegally and doing things legally are a whole different thing.
And the thing, only the legal way is going to get you access to stuff like what's mentioned in >>112315864 - you're never going to those kinds of sources illegally. Illegal options will always have a quality cap since they can basically only work off of consumer products, whereas with legal options the only limit is the actual source quality.
Except he didn't piss off fakku, nor did he piss off the mainstream, normal very casual hentai readers. He pissed off you. You are into insect double anal, you are clearly not the demographic.
minus my shitty editing
Just saying, there are tons of translators doing that shit for free.
Sure, they don't sell you a tiny book with their shit, but they don't have to because who the fuck would want it?
Do you know how annoying it is to fap to paper?
not him, but if given the chance I surely would do.
just give me their bank account numbers and I will happily give them money to show them my support for giving me the porn I love.
Wait, do you believe your mangos are printed in newspaper-sized laminated paper with fancy hardcovers in glorious Nihon? Pretty much fucking everything gets printed at that size.
That's all well and good, but seriously tell Jacob that his typesetters suck.
Seriously, it's pathetic.
At the very least tell him to make the digital version different if legibility is that much of an issue in print.
P-Please daiz, monopolize everything and charge 500 shekels for a preview. I'm sure I'm helping the industry.
Pirating is better, that being jewed out of free stuff thanks to one jew who decided to monopolize everything
You know, I'm a pirate myself, but at least I don't delude myself into thinking there really is a giant source of free stuff for my convenience and that I'm entitled to it.
I'm stealing, but at the very fucking least I don't try to pretend I'm not and that I actually deserve this bullshit. You're retarded.
I not pretending I'm not pirating. I know I'm stealing you mongoloid, but if something was free and someone takes away that free thing, I consider that someone who took free thing away an asshole
>At the very least tell him to make the digital version different
I'm sure you wouldn't mind paying $20 for that version in that case if you want the editor to do the same job twice.
Oh wait, you want them to do that and cut the price in half before you buy it.
Except he permits you to legalize your position.
fell free to be a fag and not buy, but do not complain if all the stuff you wanna pirate get removed, you only make yourself even more of a retard.
Can't Fakku make digital version (lower resolution around 1500 pixels tall) free to all users and charge just for physical copy and higher res from digitals?
Am I the only one who feels absolutely no remorse whatsoever for pirating? Why should I give a fuck about supporting the artists? I don't WANT to support them, because it warps the market. I'd rather be able to continue appreciating them from a distance. The most I'd do is donate directly.
Then why does anybody think this will last for very long? Wani's going to see their profit margins in Japan plummet because everybody is reverse-importing from America. This sorta thing happened with Bible Black and that's what caused them to flip out and cancel the deal.
I just want them to do their fucking job right if they expect me to pay for their shit. And it's not necessary to "do the same job twice". Resizing the speech text takes all of one second.
I'll reserve judgment until I see the actual works. Those preview samples may not reflect the actual product if they were typeset separately and at the tiny size they're available at in the pre-order page.
Anyway, YQII is one of the scanlators that's now working for FAKKU, so you could also look at his other works to get an idea of what to expect.
>So, what's stopping reverse importers?
Uncensored porn is illegal, but if you wanna take that risk, nothing.
>What's stopping me from reverse-reverse translating it?
Translation of a translation. If you don't care about quality, time; even the most active scanlator groups put out like 3 releases a week, meaning it would take about a month to do a tank.
I guess if you're a NEET who has the money to import, go for it.
I don't see why reverse-importing would be a problem in this case. Fakku's version is actually more expensive than the original($19.95 vs ?1,188) and Wani is getting paid either way.
I'd call his typesetting passable (even for commercial work), which is okay in my books if the page quality itself is superb, which it is.
Anyway, FAKKU should be hiring more typesetters in the nearby future, and more staff in general too. And I'm sure constructive criticism of typesetting quality and such will not fall on deaf ears either. Screaming "WOW THAT IS SO SHIT HOW DARE YOU" very well might, though.
I think there's a very definite generational gap at work here.
When a piracy hug goes down or becomes crippled, my usual reaction is "Welp, too bad. Time to find alternate channels/go back to IRC". Yet as I watch these guys every time something like Megaupload or the eHentai purge happens, not only do they go batshit insane with doomsday predictions, they act genuinely outraged as if they believed they had a God-given right to the shit.
The idea of bitching about publishers cutting off one of my sources would never occur to me. Partly because I never deluded myself into thinking they didn't have the right to do so, and partly because that shit has never, ever stopped me from finding crap elsewhere.
This is the threadly reminder to leak the shit out of Fakku siterips, once Jacob releases more Wani manga.
Hurt him where it hurts the most: Money.
Here last pics - NSFW.
First they came for the /d/ material, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a /d/ fag.
Then they came for the animal ears/tails, and I did not speak out—
Because I did not like animals.
Then they came for the violent sex, and I did not speak out—
Because I did not like violent sex.
Then they came for vanilla—and there was no one left to speak for me.
I just hope they don't get whoever it was that kept TRYING to make every OTHER word stand out IN bold like and American COMIC. That SHIT was super ANNOYING, especially SINCE he didn't EVEN seem to get IT right.
It's really not great, though. I'll reserve judgement for the fucksounds, but if they have no thought put into them and he just used Mouth Breather, I'm out.
Fuck that. Just fuck that. Artists take time drawing that shit.
I've been on 4chan for years, but I will always listen more closely to reasonably worded constructive criticism compared to angry shouting with little to no actual content.
>And I'm sure constructive criticism of typesetting quality and such will not fall on deaf ears either.
For fuck's sake, you were in the goddamn thread yourself.
He doesn't listen, his mind blanks out any sort of criticism. And when he gets caught out of position, he tries to weasel his way out instead of admitting he was wrong.
If you hadn't been in the thread and spelt out word by word what he could have easily said himself, the whole thing would have imploded on him even worse than it already did.
One thing to remember with legit stuff is that you need to actually license fonts for it. In my eye it's certainly worth it to shell out some money to have font variation, but there's a limit to how much you can pay for as well.
Sure there are, but for comics, though? Bear in mind that just because you can download something legally for free doesn't mean you could necessarily use it for free in a commercial work.
Eh, I think it's just people having a good time. Overreacting to news and running around like a chicken with your head cut off yelling "OH GOD ITS OVER SHUT IT ALL DOWN" is fun and exciting.
I bet when they hire new translators, they won't even try to keep it consistent and you'll have tanks with chapters translated by different individuals, some with honorifics, some without.
What are translation guidelines?
Anyway, there's really no reason to start painting demons on the walls at this point, especially when nothing has actually been released yet.
I know what you mean, I've been wondering all day if I'm going to buy this or not. I know I can just wait for the rip of the digital copy but I like to have physical copies of books I really like. Renai Sample's art is really nice so... I'm not sure. If they release some Karma Tatsurou or Royal Koyanagi I can tell you right now that I'll buy them without a moment's hesitation.
>There is two millions six hundred thousands thirty nine free shouting fonts
>Tech picks Sergeant Sixpack
How the fuck did that even happen
Aren't most of even fancy fonts around $200?
You get whole font family for that price and since you gonna make a lot of cash it's not much even when buying few licensed products.
It's a matter of preference and really, seeing them in fantranslations has never bothered me, I just never really see them in professional translations and I don't use them myself because they don't sound right in English.
Let's not make this a honorifics shitposting thread, okay?
The optimal solution would obviously be to provide both, but sadly you can't exactly do that in print and there's not really any convenient means to do it with digital stuff either that wouldn't involve a lot of manual extra work (thus it wouldn't be worth it).
isn't this better than even getting the magazines raws in terms of quality.
It would be nice if I could be sure of the share the artist get, I know you have mentioned about it before in threads but I'm skeptical because of /a/nons, Not that I know a way to prove that the artists get decent support from this.
Also I would be in huge support of this going jp too, Japanese users should be able to get in on this.
>you'll have tanks with chapters translated by different individuals, some with honorifics, some without.
Or they'll have two people working on two books instead of one. Also >>112318675
If you have any suggestions, then feel free to share them - I'm sure they would be much appreciated. Just make sure the fonts are free to use commercially too.
will the fakku raws still maintain the screen tones?
weird I know but as porn enthusiast reading a manga without screen tone is very unnatural and looks blurry to me...
I will probably buy that shit. I mean: Uncensored post-2013 Wani releases?
Holy shit, this is the best thing to happen to hentai for a while.
But at the same time he acts like a fucking autist and is a hypocrite at the same time.
>It would be nice if I could be sure of the share the artist get
Unfortunately the exact numbers are basically always confidential information.
But seriously, the people on /a/ claiming artists get nothing know basically nothing, whereas the people saying they do get their share (FAKKU) actually do. And just FAKKU will be in the business of making money doesn't mean they would be evil.
>will the fakku raws still maintain the screen tones?
If they're right there in the original art, they damn well should.
Well, FAKKU stuff will be uncensored whereas JP imports won't.
Independent appeals for allowing a lolicon doujin is too much work. Goddamit. I tried.
Jesus christ, you don't even know how the dividends work.
Yes, if it's fully legalized and licensed, they get a share, on the scale from 'getting a cut' and 'not getting a cut', a below 5% cut, doesn't matter enough to be a counter argument, you retarded drone mongoloid.
You're nothing but a drone, if you think people care about you and your opinion more these days, you're retarded.
>Why am I getting hate comments
>Oh, why am I getting even more hate comments now
>B-but I'm a good guy!
Good job displaying you've never been to the ground floor of a market, mate. If I want a product, and I want an artisan to keep making that product, we're going to make a trade, regardless of whatever logic of "Middle Man Importance" you've been raised on. That model is dying and the cancer of its practices is now fully-visible even to the lowest common denominator consumer.
You sound like someone who has never ordered a case of their favorite pop straight from the factory. Keep supporting the convenience stores if you want. I'll take my milk straight from the cow, even if that means, oh heavens me, taking effort to learn a language as to open negotiation directly to the author and ensure they nor I am getting jew'd.
If you make a Japanese side site that would be great, the elevens are our tomo yos .
Ah yeah, seems a shame they won't get in on such high quality releases, crunchyroll do that manga streaming but its terrible quality and not friendly at all.
I wish I had the time to set up a site and try to set up a deal to get hi quality raws for a manga hosting site, it would be nice to contribute to the longevity of a manga serial, so many times I have seen a series I have loved get discontinued and not been able to support it by way of those little review cards that you have to post in.
Yes, when he jumped her his dick got stuck inside her, and it became a part of her body.
They do uncensored stuff when they can get it from the publishers. More often than not though they've only got censored material to work with.
I don't know anything about the team except that they've got poor public communication skills and that the people who run their website suck (it was down for over a MONTH this year) but the books themselves seem fine, I bought Boing Boing and Power Play from them and I enjoyed them well enough. I compared the Japanese, fan-translation, and Project-H translation of the first chapter and Projet-H's was actually more accurate. In the fan translation there were at least a couple things that were simply made up.
Well, FAKKU stuff will be uncensored whereas JP imports won't.
Great. The japanese original has the original untranslated text whereas the Fakku version doesn't. Are you telling me to buy the same comic twice if I want to read what the original said, and see the original drawn SFX and have it be uncensored at the same time?
This isn't anime, I can't just turn off subtitles.
I'm sad over how retarded folks in Japan are.
They could do all of this on it's own and get even more money from western fans, but no, let's just call gaijins "internet thieves" and live on letting some jew who was doing illegal shit for years make profit.
You don't see a lot of authors (well, I don't see a lot) who are willing to go back and follow up on bummer endings based on fan demand. I can think of this:
Hey, genius. I'm trying not to be a pirate here.
If I want a legal alternative that is both uncensored and has the original text, I'm fucked.
Plus Wani's trying to wipe the raws from the face of the earth.
>Jacob makes a contract with Wani
>release 8Kp HD uncensored digital release
>anons flock to rip the release and allow for a more flexible rerelease
>mfw f/a/ggots will never understand this because of MUH PIRACY
Sacrifice are always made to achieve greatness
Jacob will be the hero hentai will need and you faggots can never do anything about it!!
If they censored the hi-quality raws then japanese people could enjoy the same instant access to high quality hentai.
It would work better if it was done via a wani pagefront or something I love that sort of stuff with little site mascots and official twitter accounts etc.
Yes blissfully ignorant to not be illegaly pirating porn on a single site. This is why you divide the work amongst a couple sites.
Do you think nips gonna import uncensored books from states, scan it and edit with their moonrunes?
2chan even know about that Fakku deal?
Why not just read the raws? The translations and typesetting are shit tier and censorship depending on the artist could be non-existent.
What or where is the problem?
It was the closest I could think of. Usually if a story ends badly the author and the audience wanted it that way, but I think Homonculus might have underestimated the sensitivity of his fanbase, which is a weird thing to say about porn comics.
Chinks are salivating, like rabid dogs in front of a wounded prey, at fakku books.
Streets will be crawling with bootleg fakku book tanks reverse-translated to Chinese not even a week after release
It'll be great for them, finally they won't have to deal with fucking retarded overly burned scans where you can't see shit.
One tank every couple of months does not pay us back all the shit we lost.
Mostly just a good place with it all nicely sorted out since the content can be found elsewhere. But still! That place was sacred!
FAKKU's release will be of a much higher quality than the raws we typically get, and they won't be releasing the original Japanese text. raws from Wani tanks and mags will also become harder to find since they will no longer be hosted on e-hentai, where most raws get posted.
>If I want a legal alternative that is both uncensored and has the original text, I'm fucked.
Well, no shit. Why would there be a legal way to buy something illegal? You're just grasping at straws trying to motivate your piracy.
It's like me saying I won't buy these books unless they're in my language, and every page is in color.
Nah, they would use some special made stickers.
It has more than ex right now. Besides, Wani shit is for a lack of a better word, entry level stuff in terms of artists and fetishes. There is helluva lot more stuff to fap to. I think of viewing Wani stuff as a perk instead of a privelage.
>It's like me saying I won't buy these books unless they're in my language, and every page is in color.
This attitude here children is why corporations currently fuck their customers over so much. As a consumer it's your right in a free market to demand the best quality for the best price.
They'll just take the high quality digital release and copy-paste the jp script from Wani releases.
Wani fucked up by not allowing Fakku to release jp version. I mean there are overseas uncensored JAV sites that are aimed at japan market
Pretty sure it's easier to outsource it, given the legality issues with uncensored porn in Japan. They can't block Japanese IPs on their site if they're based in Japan.
What's more, they would have to hire staff to work on the English releases, compared to just getting a cut for no extra work like now.
It's the only portion that actually matters when discussing alternate sites, because ex has more of everything else. The only way a competitor site can stand out right now is by having Wani shit, and the competitors don't have Wani shit, so they are literally pointless.
>treating pirated materials as lost sales when japs don't even localize shit
I had the english versions of all the release of Eroquis and Aomizuan and a bunch of localized yamatogawa tank.
Is it really that hard to localize h-manga to other country? or are they still blinded by the good'ol WAITU PIGGU GO HOMU mentality...
High 5. I pirated Flash MX for my entire middle school.
No it's not. They fuck you over because you're nobody, nothing, a peon to them.
For one "you" who complains there's a hundred who loves to be assraped by corporations. It works the same for videogames, ask >>112320136
In terms of popularity? Wani is "the main", followed by Core, and then everyone else. Mujin comics follows right after them but they are not as relevant. Usually if you're published under Core and Wani, chances you're going to be serialized for non-h are much, much higher than average.
Goddamn dilemmas. I like Homunculus, his art is fantastic, so I'd like to buy a copy of Renai Sample. If I do that though I'll be supporting Fakku. I don't mind supporting Western Hentai publishers in general, but Fakku have been cunts about all this. If I and many others don't support them then this Wani/Fakku deal may go down in tears and flames and we can all go back to translating whatever we like when Wani abandons the west again. On the other hand, supporting them may lead to them eventually branching out and publishing some good non-vanilla stuff. Both supporting and not supporting them could lead to consequences both good and bad.
>but Fakku have been cunts about all this
How exactly? And what would it take for them to not be a cunt about it in your eyes?
Remember that it was Wani that sent all those takedown notices, not FAKKU.
You know what would fix everything?
The Olympic games not going to Japan and them finally abolishing the censorship law.
Why the fuck would they put it in their constitution, bunch of clueless fucks.
That would be ugly as shit, though. If you want to typeset properly, at worst you might need to adjust all text bubbles with honorifics manually because the line length is different, and on a 200-page tank that's not just a little bit of extra work.
That anon is being unreasonable though. He wants uncensored porn in Japanese, when uncensored porn is illegal in Japan. I would've been okay with his complain if he said, "the translation sucks! I won't buy until it improves!" That's something they can do and get more customers by providing quality.
He's asking for something that FAKKU (and probably even Wani) can't provide. If that's what he wants, then yes, he shouldn't buy FAKKU's books. It's not that hard. I'm just tired of seeing all these people thinking they're making good arguments by saying, "I wanna read these in Japanese, but these books will be in English, so therefore, this entire project is awful."
I just don't understand the teenage mentality that many hentai fans have. Must we really attempt to be more hardcore than others because of our fetishes? Sure, I like bondage, facesitting, rape, femdom, smell fetish, and all that good stuff too (not that extreme, I know, but I'm not trying to impress anyone with what makes my dick hard) but sometimes I really enjoy seeing a loving couple having sex too.
>Why the fuck would they put it in their constitution, bunch of clueless fucks.
Because back in the early 20th century when moralism was a big part of politics everyone thought it was a good idea, and it's never been taken out because you'd be hard pressed to find a jap politician who wants to be "the pervert who wants porn uncensored".
Yeah, I'm sure they also went back in time to send takedown notices to everyone after making the deal, including to FAKKU who they would have just made a deal with.
I've come to dislike how scans usually make colors more yellow and overdo the contrast. Guess they always end up as yellow because they're supposed to look like asian instead of pink european apes.
They can sell the untranslated versions in western countries. It's not like it's the script that's the issue, it's the naughty bits.
You do realize the japs can still buy the uncensored tanks from america, especially so because Fakku provides them digitally.
Your argument holds no water.
Ha. Haha. Hahaha.
There's people who think they're legit alpha males because they like sluts and debauchery, we had a thread the other day and it was mindboggling. Whatever makes them happy, I guess.
There's nothing illegal about uncensored Japanese porn in the original Japanese any outside Japan though, and it is something FAKKU could very well provide since they get the raws anyway. The only reason FAKKU will only provide English trans is because Wani is worried about profit loss from reverse-import, which is Wani's problem, not ours as consumers.
I buy localized manga because I want to support more being officially translated into english. I guess he wants to do the same with hentai.
Japanese businesses are very non-confrontational and traditionalist. They don't want to rock the boat at home so close to the olympics. Maybe things will change after 2020. Be patient.
Hmm, when I think about it, there is no proof that Fakku was involved with anything bad that happened, though there's no proof that they weren't either. It's my distrust of Jacob that has me really leery. I'm afraid that if their business model is successful that takedown requests will get even worse and there will be even less people translating Wani stuff, which will be bad if Fakku sticks with the most vanilla stuff they can find. If they branch out it won't bother as much, I'll happily avoid translating Wani stuff that I know is going to get an official localization.
He hasn't made a doujin in years. Doujin is when you pay for the paper, the cover, the printing costs, the hardware needed to draw your porn, your spot at the convention, then you sit down and sell your junk.
He's a professional hentai mangaka now, he doesn't have to sit down at comiket to sell monogatari parodies, he just works at home or in wani offices, has his own assistants and makes money that way, by drawing original stories.
What I don't get is why everyone gives a shit about supporting the artists now. Before you would just go to panda, download, and then fap. But now that Fakku is selling physical copies everyone has their panties in a bunch because buying them doesn't support the artists.
