Mari is simply insane. The start of the manga is the product of an unreliable narrator and what we are told in it is contradicted by the fact the NEET didn't even know who Mari was when she met him. Closest thing to that is probably My Barbaric Girlfriend, as in the end the MC and the girl switch back but the MC realizes he's still in love with a boy. However that leads to them deciding to find a way to bodyswap again rather than a gay end. I don't think people want to see male homosexual endings in these stories. Even in eroge, where you have lesbian and straight (with the MC either as a male or female) endings, you don't see any gay endings.
