Mushoku Tensei thread.
The words of the goddess are being translated an soon will her love be heard by all of us.

Have you prayed to her today?
I'm thinking of what I should pick up, only one I'm waiting for other than mushoten is re:Monster.
Anyone can recommend a story decently written with a good MC? Bonus points if there aren't many cliches.
You'd better be caught up to 8man's story by now.
Don't worry, I finished it way before I picked up Mushoten. Maybe the fact that it will take so long to be able to continue reading is what made me pick something else actually.
Thinking about starting this. The summary seems decent I guess.
And the last thing I read was this.
>That lasted all of three minutes
What do you mean?
In English? Nowhere. But if you have some Chinese/Japanese or Machine Translation skills, several different places.
Translated into English? ID comes into mind. Basically, an amazing martial artist (full eastern fantasy with ki blasts, swordsmanship, etc.) gets transported into a medieval fantasy world (full western fantasy with elves, dragons, etc.)
The art is horrid shit for the first couple of volumes but has enormous improvements after the first arc. See attached image for what are is currently like.
Yes, elftits is the main heroine although there are some other girls that are after him as well. Unfortunately, their chances are almost nil. Also, I'm not sure of your definition of "interesting". If you like OP protagonists, cute girls, and pretty decent fight scenes, then it's good.
I don't consider my standards that low but the art seems fairly decent.
Though I actually plowed through some shojou that might have been drawn by a kindergartner or someone that has never had human contact and didn't own a mirror.
Yeah, his sisters are great. Too bad they only appear in flashbacks.
First page on the right, read left to right. Second page on the left.
he is talking about translating shield hero here
Considering vanant skips chapters all over the place and the only one to patch them up is kazeboy, we're doomed. I wouldn't be surprised if vanant suddenly decided to drop the series as well.
I haven't actually started to read it yet but it doesn't seem so judging from the summary and the synopsis.
Summary by Nagiamatsu from jcafe:
>Accidentaly summoned by an ancient map, first year high school student, Kiyokawa Hiroto is forced by the arrogant Lord of the castle to exterminate the vampire that has been haunting his castle. Unexpectedly befriending a girl from Mummy tribe, Hiroto skillfully managed to capture the Vampire with her help. However, he is soon framed by the Lord of the castle. Bravely and kindly aiming to be a Lord, the fantasy of summoned to another world starts!
Yeah, I really want to know how Roxy manages to get herself a wife seat. Obviously Rudy fullfilled her childhood fantasy there when he
rescued her, but he just married Sylphy and has a kid on the way,
They sound like a fantastic supporting asset to the team, Rudi is just so OP he doesn't actually need the team. It's not fair to judge a support class to someone that surpassed the demon god.
Well yeah, Sylphy would probably do anything he told her to that wasn't abandon her party. My real question was where does Rudy get the balls to do it from? That's what I'm most looking forward to. He's frequently a milksop.
Sylphy is so thoughougly manipulated she will agree to anything he demands
Roxy has total admiration for him AND he just fufilled her fantasy for her prince charming
And I'll bet Eris won't even be surprised someone as amazing as Rudi Kami-sama already attained wives in her absence and will beg for acceptance into his harem.
>I feel like anime writers and directors are behind a lot of things technology wise.
I just can't see that. I think it's more then likely she pummels the fuck out of him, storms out, and then returns. He'll give her some beast girls as an apology gift and then they'll fuck right on top of them.
She'll beat his face in anyway, no way around that.
>and I'll bet Eris won't even be surprised someone as amazing as Rudi Kami-sama already attained wives in her absence and will beg for acceptance into his harem
She should learn a bit with Kishirika and Gadibadi healthy relationship.
I meant the green text to be.
>And I'll bet Eris won't even be surprised someone as amazing as Rudi Kami-sama already attained wives in her absence and will beg for acceptance into his harem.
Somehow I goofed and didn't notice.
Wrong about Eris, she's pretty upset about it.
Long spoiler I guess though I think someone else mentioned it above too.
He doesn't. After Paul dies protecting him and they rescue his mom only to find out she's basically a retard now he basically sinks into great depression. The group sits around wondering what they should do for him since he's basically not eating or anything and just wasting away alone in his inn room. Erinarize gives Roxy the push to console him with her body and that's what happens. Admittedly Erina knew that Roxy was crushing on Rudy hard and that Rudy had always admired her fiercely too. Also if I remember right Roxy didn't actually know Rudy was married until after they did the deed since that conversation had happened before she was saved.
So who else can't wait for later volume images?
Ghyslaine really is gigantic. I wonder if Pursena is as big.
I think people are just jumping the gun honestly. I'd wait and see what happens. Kaito has said in the past that he'd stop translating but then kept going anyway.
Basically wait and see if he actually stops first.
Shield knight isn't actually all that good so I'm betting he'll come around.
Is Kaito the main source of translations? How big of an impact would his leaving the project even have?
Depends on if other people stop too. I mean there were some people that followed the bandwagon and stopped translating Re:Monster to jump on to MushoTen. As long as the other translators keep going we'll still eventually catch up to the current stuff in a month or two.
Shield Knight from the spoilers is one of those that starts decent, escalates way too fucking much, plot goes off the rails weird.
I rather have someone translate Knight and Magic.
Well that is upsetting isn't it I'd rather have them go back to RE:monster than Shield knight because as >>112079212 points out it's terrible.
I'm praying they'll have the good sense to stick with MT, which is much better than either.
Yeah, magic mecha programer otaku, reborn into a magical world as shota trap.
Yes, his goal is to make mechs so he can eventually create his ideal mecha just for himself.
It was explained in the spoilers, that he dresses that way, because he looks good in those clothes. Think he was about ~10ish at the time.
I think it was explained as magical world, slow moving tech, only high tech stuff is the mechs, rest of the tech, including personal is middle ages shit. Each generation of mechs takes about 100 years to move to the next.
Classic, magic don't need to explain shit background.
Not like we will see a genius materials engineer get transported to a magical world ever.
They mostly fight monsters, yes, they use the knights mostly like infantry armed with swords, axes, shields, lances, ect.
Big giant mecha, they use some magic, but the mecha are the big anti monster things. Offensive magic is nice outside of a mech but since piloting mecha uses magical power, they can't really use it.
The bigger monsters need like 100+ of the classical mecha to engage and kill. THey still use shit like big battering rams and such.
This is from memory, from spoilers, not actually reading it also.
I might take a shot at the Vol 12 chapters during the weekend. I do have a vested interest in it since I worked on chapter 105/106.
Not trying to be pretentious, but some of the other chapters need to work on their grammar, if not their translations.
I just want more translations. All the time. Forever and ever.
Rudy needs to solve his glass cannon problem, any guy that can throw a rock or shoot a bow will instanly kill him with a sneak attack
Man, just finished 11, waiting for 12 to be finished translated before starting it.
Sylphy's gonna die isn't she? Man, that's not cool, I figured something was up when they switched gears so fucking fast after Eris dumped him after spending so much time building them up together, but damn, had to go in that direction.
You know, MC back in vol.7 when reading that book made a reference about that. Like how there was a game with a
dungeonjust like that, that he had played, but it didn't give any tangible reference, so it could have been some shit like Azure Dreams or Toruneko no Daibouken or some shit like that.
Seeing something in advance doesn't necessarily mean he can do anything about it either. He saw Orsted's attack in advance but couldn't really prevent it in any way for example. One second isn't a whole lot of prep time.
In volume 16 and then 19 he solved his glass cannon problem. His uber armor was a serious tank and gas hog, so they are optimizing it. The new armor that he is using can tank a lot of monster attacks. It's power is about that of a Saint Class Swordsman. High density, high weight Ceramic Plate Armor.
He wrecked the first one, but he is fully for more optimized armor. From between the lines he thought it was pretty good shit. Volume 19 has the new, optimized more mana efficient armor. Orsted when he heard that Hitogame gave Rudy some help on the armor wanted to know it's name, so it could be the Epithet on Hitogami's gravestone. Only problem Orsted had with it is that the name was lame, and he wanted to give it a better name. The name was too generic.
caught up to 120. nice chapter to leave off at, but dammit, I need more. I can never get enough of this series.
"Oh, armor of the majestic land, gather around me and become my trappings. ?Earth Fortress??"
"Oh falling rain, I call upon you to scatter, and flood the whole world! ?Water Splash??"
"Blue Goddess, fly down from heaven and wave the scepter which would frost the world! ?Icicle Field??"
"King of frost. Supreme ruler of the great snowfields.
Clad in white, Oh King of naught who reaps all passion.
Cold-hearted King which rules the frozen death! ?Blizzard Storm??"
Having to remember all that must be hard.
imagine having to say all that stuff while a motherfucking demon is charging straight at you to rip out your arm and ass fuck you with it, while eating your guts.
I for one, would be shitting myself while casting. they could very well call me mudslide or shitstorm or something like that.
can you run and chew gum at the same time? can you run while holding a conversation? this is high level stuff right here.
Just pretend you're playing a Tales game.
Currently reading "My little goddess can't be this drunk, stupid and useless and she keeps taking up the sofa spot nearest to the fireplace during winter".
Kind of disappointing School Arc, there was some fun points.
But I thought it would be a genre shift into a school setting. Turns out it just a set up for marriage arc. I think he could of made it alotmore fun
Who the fuck makes new spells and how do they do it? Chant gibberish until something happens? Magic ciecles work like circuit boards and you can just RNG your way to new effects, but regular magic is just weird.
There's some points that I don't get too.
But it seems like it's all about feeling, voiceless incantations are based purely on this principle, but regular magic is subtley so.
If you talk about summoning an ice wall as a chant, the magic manifests in that way. However, from my understanding Rudeus has a deep scientific knowledge, that's why his affinity with Earth magic is pretty high, while healing is low (he was never a doctor)
I really liked how JSDF manga portrayed magic.
Given that there are chantless magic, the way I see it (and irrc how Rudy mentioned it in vol 1), chants are just aids for visualizing it properly. I'd thinking the chant by itself is nothing if the user doesn't actually comprehend what they're saying.
Wait a minute, that's not my picture.
Yup it's purely by feeling, basically chants are a crutch. Once you become reliant on them, it's hard to break the habit.
Wish fulfillment is flavor of the year, and this is probably one of the better written wish fulfillment
From what I can tell humans learned their spells and other magic from the other races (demon, beast, void, etc.).
they saw other being use magic and replicated it without understanding the mechanism behind it (difference between using a computer and building/programing it). That and I feel that voiceless enchants uses more mana than regular ones (since voiceless seems to be taking more from the environment).
But that is just rediscovering old spells that were lost, if they were recorded on walls... wheres the fresh material?
They mention that people develop new antidote magic, but not the process.
Voiceless doesn't use more mana, that was covered when Rudeus first learned magic.
Says who? I'd be disappointed, but honestly there is a lot of translators working on this, and it's becoming increasingly popular on /a/. I doubt the tl speed will drop.
Pretty sure new magic will develop when people have new ideas. I'm pretty sure they've developed every form of magic that you could imagine already.
When the world is better understood from a scientific point of view, perhaps they'll develop walking nuclear bombs.
I think people are more interested in the manga for Re:Monster then the light novels. I'm pretty sure that TL is going strong.
The manga counterpart to MT just loses some of it's charm to be honest.
Deep in what? Wish fullfillment?
Stop joking, at least Re:Monster focuses on the "bad guys" and monsters than actualy humans, which is something new, apart from the obvious wish fullfillment aspect.
after that spoiled ending I don't think people will care about shield knight
rather would master of monster, Gun-ota, new saga, overlord, Kawazu-san, or whatever this is >>112085907
but re:monster wasn't good. MT is good.
I don't know about shield knight, but if it's good, then that's good. if it's bad, then we'll probably just flavor of the month it and then quickly forget about it, like re:monster.
given that MT has been 10 complete volumes of awesome with 9 more volumes to go, I don't see this dying out any time soon. Except maybe until summer vacation ends (is it still summer vacation?)
I don't know what he meant either, but the characters are really fleshed out in MT. The main character isn't a Gary Stu (just OP) and has immense flaws. Each of the characters that are part of his harem have a place there and a motivation that makes sense (compared to how other works just seem to have characters like MC for no reason at all)
The story is pretty well told honestly.
It isn't that it's bad, it's that the focus is different from MT and others.
Of course, I'm posting this in a general of fanatics so I can't expect much here, but I don't read stories to see myself as the MC.
Rou kinda just steamrolls through everything, he doesn't develop as a person he just hops on a train with no breaks and rides to crazy overpowered town. He's a badass given the chance to become way more badass.
Rudi is a fat pathetic fuck that jumps on the chance to change his life mistakes and ends up inadvertently making himself superpowerful and popular. It's more about his attitude and determination to change with the background of having a high fantasy setting.
I love reading RE:Monster for the katharsis, he does what he wants and gets what he wants, but I actually like Rudi because it's fun to see someone mull over their inferiority complexes while being pretty awesome in their own right.
Deeper probably isn't the right word, one is about power plain and simple and the other is about a person changing themselves.
Different magics have different requirements, kind of silly to consider this a global restriction. Other magics like healing or detox for example are pretty useless if you can't cast them in a person.
Ok, I need to report in for this one since I did the explanations. (apparently I wasn't clear enough, I'll go back and check it)
Attack magic can't be formed into a person, like filling a person's body with soil magic until they pop or some crazy shit. But you can smash them no problem from the outside.
Healing magic on the other hand, actually requires you to physically touch or be within touch-range of a person, since you are facilitating the healing of a person by directly channeling magical energy into their body for that express purpose.
Barrier magic is barriers, you can't do some kind of tou-ki stuff with it, because you need actual glyphed magic formations for it to work right.
Eh, even if he is a talented op character, he still makes mistakes and he is still fragile. Throughout his journey he experiences pitfalls and the situations he is placed in actually feel tense compared to R:M where he just proceeds to #lolrekt. I think that's why it doesn't really compare to R:M.
Metastasis/Teleport magic has certain restrictions, and it is VERY UNLIKELY to teleport you into say.. the middle of the earth or into a rock wall or say...
a giant crystal
The way Quagmire/Doronuma works, is by manipulating the outside of the ground with earth and water melded magic. Like, even if your bare feet were touching the ground, you could get mired, because he was manipulating it at the point of earth just under where the foot had contact. But he's not say.. trying to use something like earth lance to drill downward into the ground using the ground, because that however is affected by the magical properties BS. He would have to use an actual earth-sundering spell to do that kind of stuff.
Expanding on that however, I don't think MT is a master piece. For example I think the biggest issue in this novel is the existence of the Human God.
I mean it's quite clear the author uses him as a plot device to write himself out of corners. He is too much of a convenient plot device and that takes it away a bit. Although, I only read until Marriage Arc so the author can still change my mind by making the Human God the Last Boss and his actions make complete sense, but I doubt it. I'm hopeful though.
I think it's pretty clear he's being set up as a lategame boss. Though only up to the end of Volume 11 myself but a later volume is called Human God Chapter so I think some shit will go down tehre
I understand that Human God has other motivations, but my point still stands that he is a convenient plot device.
I'm just saying that I HOPE that his motivations make enough sense to cover for all the shit he did.
She deserves it, she was making fun of him
MC dies saving a girl who was going to get hit by a truck.
Except it was a trailer instead of a truck, and they doesn't actually get hit by the trailer, and the girl wouldn't have gotten a leg injury if he didn't push her, and his cause of death is literally being 'scared' to death
LN version is much better than Web Novel from the looks of it. At least he doesn't get "Necromancer's Hand" which lets him inflict random status effects including level drains based on his LUK
Is there any way to make B-T's create epub feature show images properly? Seems to work okay besides this, I usually use the other guy's epub gen but it's not always up to date. Not really matters for MT but some other series it would.
That's a pretty vague description
Legendary Moonlight Sculptor - MMORPG focused on crafting
Play to Live - Russian version of Legendary Moonlight Sculptor with less campy atmosphere and more cynical Russian
Arifureta - Typical TUEEE
Stellar Transformation - Standard Chinese wuxia/martial art with a lot of power up and exponential power growth
Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou
Ordinary shunned schoolboy summoned along with his entire class to fight against monsters and devils. The plot circles around capturing dungeons. Weakling MC does grimdark/chunni fast (1st volume) and becomes OP. Lots of waifus.
">Well, if you want to say your thanks then say it to Rudi. If he hadn't suddenly started saying something weird like, 'Tou-san, I can feel the presence of God.' and started breaking down the walls as he ran ahead we probably wouldn't have found you after all."
The temptation to read 121 is kiling me.
"Roxy, please wake up. It's morning, you know."
God opened her eyes, and slowly raised her body. The blanket slipped down, and the form of her beautiful back was revealed. Behold, this is the dawn of mankind.
I fucking lost it
"Well, if you want to say your thanks then say it to Rudi. If he hadn't suddenly started saying something weird like, 'Tou-san, I can feel the presence of God.' and
started breaking down the walls as he ran ahead we probably wouldn't have found you after all."
What a divine presence.
Do you mind giving a brief description of what the story is about? Besides the summary here >>112074549
Basically, is the story like a LN Dungeon Keeper? Or is it slice of life of a guy governing his castle? Action oriented? etc.
Well, MC and butt-buddy gets summoned to a world where summoning is commonplace so people treat them like tools. MC +1 prevails and becomes the lord of a city state, he's invested by this point and plans to work hard for the city, going against other city states and improving relations between the humans and demi-human in his city.
>Basically, is the story like a LN Dungeon Keeper? Or is it slice of life of a guy governing his castle? Action oriented? etc.
2 volumes in and there's none of those, it's just an adventuring LN with a little politics and harem antics. MC hardly did any city governing since the story is about him going around places doing stuff with his crew. Action is few and far between, conflicts felt shallow and characters... You don't want to expect much from the characterization. MC is fine though, he's stoic and calculating when not involved in harem antics.
>And then, I had the premonition that Roxy had fallen into a dilemma.
>Since I felt it was an emergency, I started to proceed straight towards the voice not minding the danger of a cave-in.
>Straight ahead of there was a wall, but without minding it I just blew it down and continued straight ahead.
>Why I had that sort of premonition I don't know.
Fate shipping them hard.
"I'm sure Gisu-san has had various troubles as well."
"He~.. It's fine. Rather, didn't I say it's fine as newbie? If you use the honorifics then my back gets itchy?"
"..I get it newbie. Next time, I'll introduce you to a cute female monkey, you can scratch each others backs."
"Oh, that sounds nice. There isn't a red-light district around here after all. Rather who are you calling monkey, hey!"
>realizing that the female monkey Rudeus would introduce Gisu to is Goria-de.
Damn it, it seems everyone is skipping 12.5 and 12.6 and just reading the summaries.
The only thing awaiting me is to wait some more for 13.4 even if I do skip.
Who else is waiting for ch 114 and 115 before proceeding?
Most of it makes sense now. He was helping Rudy to gain his trust in ways that would
keep him away from Roxy and increase his number of pawns. Hell it seems like he only gave him the demon eye so he would be shut in his room mastering it when Roxy passed by. Stay with Sylphy? Roxy might die. If she doesn't fuck the beast girls, they'll keep out out of wife #2 slot.
The only one I'm not 100% on was telling him to go with Rujerd, but I'm terrified that Rujerd is going to become an enemy at some point. ( Because I ship him and Norn. )
I skipped them and honestly I don't feel I really missed out on anything. The summary should be more than sufficient.
On the other hand you'll just end up stuck on an even worse cliffhanger if you proceed.
>I mean it's quite clear the author uses him as a plot device to write himself out of corners.
this so much
oh boy time to put another convenient convenience to progress the plot and blame it on Hitogami.
Though I don't think anyone's actually reading MT for the fantasy world, just the jerking off reincarnation prodigy vibes we all want to be.
>Though I don't think anyone's actually reading MT for the fantasy world, just the jerking off reincarnation prodigy vibes we all want to be.
I read it for the well rounded characters: something you don't normally see in this kind of story.
That's only true after volume 7 or something, earlier it feels like they're just there to reflect light back onto the MC. It's nice that Sylphie was developed and not just an obedient fucktoy for the harem she could have been, and a number of other characters being developed (Cliff was really annoying at first, and was just to amplify how awesome Rudeus was).
Though I wonder if his mother will even become well-rounded before she (from what it feels like so far since vomiting) is
found to be dead.
I don't think she dies.
Well it looks like Skuizan joined the shield hero train, will the release for Mushoki TL speed die down?
They might be hanging together around on the magic continent drinking booze and bad-mouthing Laplace.
I wonder if Gadibadi would hold a grudge against Ruijerd if he tries to pat Kirishika's head.
Ugh with him and skuiizan possibly gone, we'd have kazeboy, cother, and some CN->EN tlers left with of course Balmunkz(Vanant), but from what I saw from the talks. There have been some conflict with Vanant and some TLers. And I think it might kill his motivation sooner or later.
What will I do without my wish fulfillment fantasy?
I'd have thought someone would have figured this out by now but all of Hitogami's family planning plot was for the sake of making sure
that Roxy's and Rudi's child is never born, for she will be the Child of God and willkill Hitogami.
Frankly, Hitogami is like the Japanese version of 1d4chan's Eldrad. A total and utter dick.
At least you guys have easy access to raws f the translators ever stop.
To this day I still cannot find the Captain Tylor novels. It's absolutely criminal considering the OVAs stopped at a cliffhanger.
Lets cover how much of a dick Hitogami is:
1) Befriend a Superad and help him
2) Pick up the missing pet job
3) Go to back alley with food
A) Is accompanied by a Superad, who brings so much fear to Roxy that she runs at the sight of him, even if she doesn't recognize him as being one.
B) Suddenly has the strength to travel around the magic continent, instead of staying in the nearby town, which happens to be Roxy's home.
C) Becomes an adventurer with the name of Dead End, which makes Roxy put her defenses up against.
D1) Receives Magic Eye, which means when Roxy encounters Dead End, she only sees the Superad = Run Away. Also Rudi keeping to himself for a week meant missing Roxy at the Adventurers hall and any notice about his family.
D2) Ends up not getting a normal ship pass for the Superad, which leads to smuggler, and event at Best Village. Also means Rudi misses the notice by his dad. Also best village even might have lead to mistrust of him by Guardian Beast.
Next Hitogami visit:
1) Go save this girl in Shirone Kingdom, intro as Owner of Dead End, then send letter.
A) If follow exactly, Rudi would have save Lilia and Aisha by force with the soldiers, but would not have befriended Zanoba (so no magic armor), and Pax might not have gotten banished, and would still have the magic trap in place. Possibly, Roxy would have heard of the news the Dead End broke into the place, returned, and gotten trapped. Bad End (Hitogami End).
Next meeting, after Turning point 2, Hitogami meeting but no instructions, however builds trust. But might have some part in it, since Rudi's near death experience leads to Eris taking his DT and causing him to ED.
Next, go to Magic Uni, or he will REGRET going to Lapan.
Effect: prevents meeting with Roxy, sets him up with a number of girls to pull his thoughts away from her. Ends up with Sylphy, Hitogami End.
Turning point 3
He will REGRET going to Lapan again.
If Rudi follows, Roxy dies. Hitogami End.
Hitogami is such a dick, isn't he. Excellent at family planning though.
could someone tell me without extra spoilers, can hitogami see the future, or
does he just know how shit goes down from seeing it happen the alternate universes or whatever spoilers I've been seeing
Hail Roxy, full of grace, your panties be with you. Blessed are your panties amongst women, and Blessed is the fruit of your womb.
Holy Roxy, mother of God, pray for this sinner now, and at the hour of his ED.
Glory be to Roxy, the bottom, and left and right pieces. As it was in the beginning, now and ever shall be, world without end.
Honest question about Hitogami here, based on some of the spoilers I've moused over.
From what I understand, in another timeline Hitogami is killed by one of Roxy's descendants, so the various things Hitogami has done to try and keep Rudy and Roxy apart has been to prevent that. What was he doing originally that called for Roxy's descendant to kill him in the first place?
>"Onii-sama, since it might hinder madam's body, for a short while please prohibit your sexual negotiations."
No good, no good.
During this period, it's no good if I lay my hands on her.
No matter how much love we have, it's no good if I lay my hands on her.
Ah, but if it was just two months prior, then not all that much time has passed yet, just a bit should be. No, that's no good. I'll endure it.
"Yeah. Of course."
I hammered down the nail.
Aisha suddenly laughed and lifted up the hem of her skirt.
"Since that's the case, during this time it would be fine if I was the partner."
"Leave the sleep talk for when you're sleeping."
Aisha dropped her head downwards.
Why is Aisha such a slut
The only timeline that has Rudy is this one, well and the one that he listened to Hitogami and checked his basement which led to Roxy dying and all the rest of the suffering. Thankfully Rudy isn't working for Hitogami anymore.
But principally, my question is still "Why?"
What has Hitogami done that would cause him to be killed by Roxy's offspring? Based on some dialogue from Nanahoshi and/or Orsted, Hitogami has had other "disciples". Have these disciples been known to commit despicable deeds in the name of Hitogami or something?
There is no different Rudy. According to Orsted, he has never encountered or heard of Rudy in his hundreds, maybe it's been thousands of loops. Rudy, the Mass Transition Event, and Nanahoshi are totally new.
Orsted's theory is that Rudy was stillborn, yet for some reason this time our Rudy's soul ended up in the body so it lived.
how his future sight works is showing him possible futures or something. So I guess he can see the possibility of Rudy and Roxy getting together = their kid allying with Orsted = him dying. So he went out of his way to prevent from getting together.
In the past one of his apostles killed the original Laplace forcing him to split into two beings. This also greatly hindered Orsted from killing him. The main thing he does with Apostles is just use them to influence events so the chance of him getting killed reaches zero.
Okay, I just finished the 3rd volume and I'm torn between continuing with it and dropping it.
I picked up, because I saw these threads and got interested in it.
So far I kind of like the girls and the world (even though it's too JRPG-y to my taste), but I can't bring myself to sympathize with the MC.
Will he always be such an egoistic faggot?
Also I was intrigued to check one of the later volumes, since it was titled
Newlyweds, only to get spoiled on the first line, that he will marry the worst girl.
Also the writing style (or the translation) is kind of childish (or unrefined), but it's been fun for what it is. Are the events that happen later more interesting, or should I just drop it?
I apologize in advance for this blogshit-like post.
You're misunderstanding the spoilers.
Hitogami can see the future to a certain extent. He can use it to manipulate up to 3 people (if more, the possibilities get way more confusing seeing as the actions of his 3 each change events. It's kind of like how Rudy's forseeing eye can't see more than a couple of seconds in the future x 1000).
However, he doesn't have the ability to travel back into the past or go into parallel timelines as far as we know. So, Hitogami has not died in any timeline so far. What did happen however, is that he saw that if he did nothing, the descendant and Orsted would team up and kill him. Which is why he targeted Rudy
>will he always be such an egoistic faggot?
Yes. Rudy will blame everyone else or make excuses for things that happen, and everyone will believe him and support him. The only people who call him on his bullshit end up dead or get brainwashed into liking him.
the same Rudy from a timeline where he took Hitogami's advice and went down into the basement. He even says Rudy's 30 year old Japanese NEET name when Rudy asks him "Who are you?"
Not MT, but Arifureta (basically R:M in a more grounded setting).
>Quickly after he started to protect his body. His left arm went to his heart and his right arm to his face. Hajime used his magic to strengthen his body to the limit. Then dozens of needles pierced into this body.
I thought he lost his left arm? Did the
monster transformationalso allowed him to recover that? That was odd since I thought he mentioned he didn't want his only armto be carrying a lamp earlier.
I challenge this:
>Amazing beyond comprehension Tier
>Fluffy Tails Tier
>Violent Sex Tier
>Makes you a sandwich afterwards Tier
>Pity fuck Tier
>Hangover Regrets Tier:
He did lose one arm.
I started reading it myself yesterday and reached the point where he beat the 6 headed Hydra.
He used his one arm and fixed the lamp on the other upper arm (it's gone from the elbow area, or a bit higher).
I don't care about all those spoilers alll what I want to know is
How is his harem life with Sylphy, Roxy and Eris?
How the hell did he get Sylphy to agree to share him with another girl and god ?
I doubt he interacted much with his niece. Aisha and Norn on the other hand, he's known since they were born. He even cared for them himself when they were infants.
check ur privilege
Are you the guy that didn't notice that Fitts was
>"Looking forward to working with you!"
>It seems he'll end up standing right in front or right behind me, he patted my shoulder with a sociable feeling.
>For some reason I got chills down my back.
and more importantly
>"Rudeus, you mustn't approach that man. You'll have your important things as a man stolen away."
>He crossed his right arm and his left arm that only extends up to the elbow to cover his vital points as much as possible, and protected his face with Donnar's gun barrel
I will try to reading some more volumes then. When does the "interesting" part start?
That too, but he's always been dick to Paul, makes Sylphy his slave-waifu, molests Eris all the time and thinks about betraying Ruijerd whenever there's some danger.
Oh well, can I at least look forward to some of his suffering (that does not involve other people close to him)?
Also thanks for replying.
Rudy dosen't blame everyone else for his problems? What are you guys on about,
he blamed himself for not being able to satisfy Eris so she left and that caused his impotency, he blamed himself for the teleport incident but then Nanahosi said it was her but he does blame himself for some things though yes also blames others sometimes as well.
The only one I can think of is volume 7-9, but that's just forced "suffering".
And will more or less involve someone else in the end.
The others I can come up with will always involve other people.
Haven't you asked this in previous threads?
Higher rank spells are primarily just AoEs, so they're honestly not that useful. Rudy's attack power with spells is already emperor class.
He musn't need to learn higher lvl spells but I would hope a NEET from our 21st century would at least mix his spelll with more modern tech shit and not rock cannon everything to dead.
Why though? Let's be honest here, if you were a mage and had a spell that could handle 99% of situations, wouldn't you use it in all those situations?
Of course you fucking would.
Doesn't he end up with a teleport circle connected to Pergius castle later? I think it's set up in either his house or a shack nearby or something. Then from Pergius castle he can connect to anywhere.
Book pretty much emphasizes that they are both dicks
Rudy actually agreed with Paul's decision to send him away because he thought she was being a bit too submissive.
and gets his well-deserved beatings afterwards
After the first city Rudy he doesn't even think of doing that anymore
I read some spoilers on the threads and just wanted to know how things happened. Also just looking at the titles made me see spoilers like
Rudeus and Eris fighting the Dragon Godand such, so I ended up looking for some stuff that's translated ahead.
I think you're a bit disillusioned with how much of an advantage modern knowledge can give you. Even an engineer sent back in time wouldn't be able to just recreate a gun or whatever modern items. You need a ton of infrastructure to build the infrastructure, and tons of resources. If you know what gunpowder was composed of, there's the challenge of getting the materials, never mind knowing the recipe for it.
Unless you're a connecticut yankee, then you'd most likely die from a plague or something before achieving anything. Rudy at least has the advantage of magic so he will probably make a printing press sooner or later as he had hinted (without magic, even something as simple as a printing press would require a lot of money).
?I'll try and organised what happened yesterday.
?I ended up fighting Atohfe. Atohfe, Atohfe's imperial guard, I fought all of them together.
?I thought I could do it, but as expected, Moore got in my way.
?I was careless and completely messed up. Even though I should've known that the man known as Moore was a terrifying master of magic... It was because I was too focused on Atohfe.
?When I was in dire straits, Eris leapt in.
?She covered for me, and died.
?Ghislaine told me the reason.
?She told me about everything from the day we met again, until today.
?Eris had just wanted to be by my side.
?I had always, always been misunderstanding her.
?She had loved me all this time.
?It was because of this alone that she'd been following me around.
?It's like a joke.
Is this "It's like a joke" implying that he things Ghislaine was lying?I fucking dare you.
Here's the Japanese line:
I should add
not that I don't very much enjoy fictional stories trying to modernize barbarians though. Rather that's a big pleasure for me.
It's important to have balance in it though, the character should not be able to suddenly have gatling guns or whatever or that would just be a shameless
I'd recommend "Lest Darkness Fall" as an introduction to the alternate history genre if you're into stuff like that.
He did realize this possibility already when he talked to Ruijerd.
Well, I just hope it's not that he thinks she lied.
If so, he would be the worst motherfucker in the universe.
Not that some of his behavior in the diary proves otherwise, though.
