The fact that so many people (probably young male teens) think that scene was anything other than rape just shows how fucking shit our education into consent really is.

Well, if you consider Utena was 14 and Akio was an adult then yeah, she couldn't actually give consent. But I don't really view that scene as rape so much as emotional manipulation (is there a difference? I don't know, maybe). Akio basically did the same shit to Touga, Saoinji and his own sister. I will agree it was pretty rape-y and Utena's dead eyes absolutely infuriated me.

To speak on topic... I don't know if Utena died. I more or less interpreted the ending as Utena freeing Anthy from her role as the Witch, which was interesting.

Rather than prince saving princess from witch, it was the princess saving the witch from the prince.

If you look closely enough at the finale, they do. Miki is done trying to recapture his childhood and is focusing on the future, Kozue is watching him with Tsuwabuki without going full yandere, and they're both hanging out in the piano room with no problem. They're both moving on and recovering.
