He could end up teleporting around raining meteors, summoning armies of earth golems (I'm assuming gnome will evolve), undoing any damage he takes with healing spells or the life drain spell (which he hasn't even used yet).

He'll probably end up with decent physical stats too; I imagine at some point the writer will get bored of him being a wizard and will have him go through a phase where he focuses on melee skills.

Plus some agi based abilities would probably augment his ranged fighting style anyway.

The author is doing a pretty good job so far, I feel. A lot of people would consider the pacing slow, but to be honest I'm really enjoying the grinding aspects of the story. It really does feel like the MC is an MMORPG character, the author is doing a good job imo.
