There's six other major hentai manga publishers. But even if those six are taken out, I'd say there would still be 20% of the hentai manga left until more time was spent inspecting which ones' IP rights were bought up by one of those companies. You see, some companies are spinoffs so for a time they could have been under the umbrella. This tedious time-based confusion makes it inaccurate to simply delete every title although that would be easiest (as Mininova did back in 2006 because sorting and checking which were legit or not was too time-intensive so they just nuked it all).

How do we know we've recovered everything that was deleted? Are we just going by gallery title? Some titles don't put the magazine in their name and are never petitioned to be changed. There's also artists who have multiple publishers so it might appear that they have not been affected.

I'm just skeptical anyone has recovered 100% without actually having access to any official logs.

Kinda of an interesting case there, I think that was one of the times where a government agency was pushing an agenda, so it's more an outlier, it doesn't help that Hardcore wasn't particularly liked by the rest of the porn industry. Right now the government isn't particularly anit-porn, so they're isn't much chance of an obscenity charge sticking on porn suppliers.

From what Jacob said, he has the rights to everything Wani publishes, including future titles. Sounds like bullshit, but lets pretend this is true for a second.

If they do have it, it would make 0 sense to not release it at some point. He will only be limited by the capacity to translate those, and hentai in general is a lot easier to translate than regular manga. Plus, you need no cleaning with the original raws. The previous experiment of mod power 20 and several hundred forum posts in non-spam forums was too much of a hurdle, but there needs to be some criterion for people to aim for. Maybe something easy like mod power 12 or higher. That level is very easy to get if you donate, so maybe mod power 15 is more realistic. Otherwise wani will just dump $100 (which is nothing to them) and be all over the panda again. Mod Power 15, 300 non-spam forum posts, any spam posts purged by a mod gets negative 100 post count and mod power -1 drop. That should be enough to stop useless posts that just reword things other people said.

Whatever Wani said in their second notice, it must have been pretty serious, seeing how Tenboro actually removed their stuff and put them on the DNP list. With that in mind, I doubt he'll take the risk of implementing some new sekret club that thousands of people could easily get access to. At most he might make some super accounts for his closest friends, but if you're not part of the inner circle, I wouldn't hold my breath.

You learn your lesson if you aren't anonymous and go to a fan convention. When people recognize you that can be a problem. It's a story I tell other translators since I learned the hard way - stay anonymous because given enough people, statistically someone is going to something obnoxious. At an anime convention, someone grabbed me by the front of my shirt (he's much bigger than me as I am a nerdish scrawny guy) and basically issued a demand to me. If they know who you are, they can follow you to your car, to your home, post your address on the internet, make false extremely negative stories about you, etc.
